  1. Be patient. There is plenty of time left in the day to facepalm yourself with a brick.
  2. Since Pluto isn't a planet anymore wouldn't it be Planet IX or do we just skip 9 now because our solar system is owned by Microsoft?
  3. I love Biff's channel. I first learned how to clean carts from him, added some of my own tricks, and can now make carts look like new. I also like when he does a series like going in depth with the history and differences with Pong consoles for an example. I enjoy his on screen presence because instead of being some screaming kid that speaks too fast and randomly he carries himself more like a hippie/nerd hybrid almost like he has to take a big bong hit before explaining how to solve a Rubik's Cube because he seems so mellow. I think Biff is cool and I enjoy his channel. I just disagree with his stance on That Atacobox and think it is fun messing with him. Anyway, I strongly disagree that nobody here wants to be attacked or abused by him. I do. I want him to spank me, choke me, and pull my hair.
  4. I voted no because I want better renders.
  5. There is so much positivity and fun in this thread that for a minute there I thought I was on Nickelodeon.
  6. I would be interested in a Super Nt and Mega Nt even if they were internally identical. I could probably think of an exhausted list but here are a some reasons: 1. Plug and play convenience. I wouldn't want to have to unplug a SEGA cart adaptor, SEGA controllers, SEGA flash cart, etc. and then plug in all the Super NES stuff to make it a Super NES again then do it all over again to play a SEGA game. I rather just leave all the Super NES stuff plugged into the Super Nt and SEGA stuff plugged into the Mega Nt with unplugging happening just at the TV. I think those kind of things are best for saving later with the Z3K. However, I wouldn't mind buying all of this stuff just to tinker around with occasionally and/or to use as a beta tester to help with his ideas for how to make it all work well on the Z3K but I wouldn't want to use them this way for daily use. 2. With two separate consoles it wouldn't be exactly known which other cores people would be playing around with but it would be known that it is very likely that all Super Nt owners are using the Super NES core and all Mega Nt owners are using the SEGA core. That seems like it would make it easier for Kevtris to get bugs reported with better support for these cores while also giving some beta testing for the Z3K. 3. If I end up buying many Nt consoles and later the Z3K is released I might not feel like I wasted all of this money by the Z3K making them all obsolete. When I think of the Z3K being perfect replacement hardware for the NES, then changed to perfect replacement hardware for the Super NES, then Genesis, then Atari 2600, then ColecoVision, etc. with all of these modular parts that aren't confusing to understand how to hook them up then it seems too good to be true and/or very expensive to get it down that perfectly. Therefore, it may end up just being a kind of Jack of all trades console that plays them all well enough but not as ideally as the separate Nt consoles. However, the level of interest is dependent on if they have analog outputs to be able to hook them up to my TV's to be able to play in the first place.
  7. My point wasn't who could regularly view it. That is more about poor sales. My point was since Nintendo was working with Sharp to make these TV's then they kind of gave their stamp of approval and seal of quality on how they would display the Famicom and NES games.
  8. To my way of thinking, since the Sharp NES tv's were officially licensed by Nintendo and often used for magazine screen shots then whatever their color palettes are should be considered the "official" ones.
  9. A taco with electrical tape and Super NES a/v cables?
  10. "It's more about whether optional add-ons should be counted the same as in-cartridge helper chips."
  11. If used on 100% of systems is where you draw the line then why only add-ons and not other controllers/accessories? For an example, if one bought an Atari 2600 Junior out of the box they could play Pitfall II but couldn't play either Communist Mutants From Space or Breakout.
  12. I feel the opposite about it. If he isn't thinking about a hockey mask while masturbating then that just seems a little ungrateful and selfish.
  13. Bill, You are explaining it really well but I'm not seeing how you are talking about a system's capabilities. It just seems like you are explaining how and why developers would choose to push a system more with helper chips more than add-ons. I don't think that is what needs to be explained. What needs to be explained is how helper chips increase a system's specs while add-ons don't.
  14. I didn't get to that point yet to even be taken because I was seriously asking out of ignorance. I haven't experienced the Kinect or XBOX 360. So, when you referred to it as an add-on I thought I was misunderstanding how it functioned because it gave me the impression that it somehow increased it capabilities like a SEGA CD or something. Anyway, since I wasn't misunderstanding to me it seems more in the controller/accessory category than the add-on category. I would probably put a PS2 memory card more in the add-on category than a Kinect because it adds a capability to the games that isn't already on the discs or in the machine which is adding the ability for games to save which in more earlier systems would have been in the carts. In other words, I think of an add-on as some kind of upgrade to the system.
  15. I thought the Kinect was more like a motion detecting controller than an add-on?
  16. If a cart is unplayable then I don't see how it can play all Super NES carts. It isn't the only device and way to play Super NES games through HDMI and/or on a flat panel. If it were then no one would have past examples to even know if they prefer that emulated look to be interested in buying it in the first place. I highly doubt that the only real reason the Nt Mini has all those analog outputs is so that people can play Zapper games on a CRT that they reserve exclusively for those Zapper games. There are likely many that actually prefer a CRT for all NES games and have a CRT for that reason as well as using it for a variety of consoles. Preference is a real reason. Even more so than Zapper games because preference applies to all games. I disagree. The Super Nt is competing with any device and method that people may choose to play Super NES games on. However, I would consider the original Super NES the most direct one because if people have the original carts and controllers than they likely have a Super NES. Many of them also likely have a CRT that their Super NES is plugged into and prefer it that way. Therefore, in order for the Super Nt to compete against the original in such a way that leaves people with very little reason to leave a Super NES plugged in requires analog outputs as an option.
  17. I'm confused and don't know what to think anymore because many of the tacos in this thread look like renders too.
  18. I assume that at first it was for patent reasons but then Sony continued with it to keep the original iconic look.
  19. I think it is fair because all console companies are free to use "steroids".
