@GoldLeader interestingly, no one eats coney dogs in coney island. not sure how they got that name.
The hot dogs in the hot dog eating contest are just hot dogs and buns, no condiments to speak of!

Watched Star Trek: The Motion Picture yesterday and promptly passed out. I thought people were exaggerating.

I think that I saw it on opening weekend when I was 11. it was sort of amazing, although we hated the uniforms and the plot was too adult for kids. I was very disappointed that I missed seeing it in the wild when it was re-released in theaters a few years ago.
it's definitely a more "meditative" movies (although perhaps not as ruminative as Blade Runner: 2049 was) and I always thought that the world ending crisis plot-line would have been better as the culmination of a few movies rather than the one to kick off the series. Where do you go from there? apparently, you never mention the events of that movie again and write as if it never existed.

I've reached day 10 with Covid. Still have symptoms. Looking forward to getting passed this so I can do pinball and beer again.

@VectorGamer I'm not a doctor, but as a random internet guy, if you have a doctor, I think it might make sense to touch base with them. the medical care system isn't overloaded anymore, so it's not a matter of taxing the system, and they may be able to put your symptoms in context.

have you been to the doctor yet? when I caught it last september, I had a fever and was achey for two days then started to feel better, but then I was just tired for months, and months afterwards. I think that I am finally returning to a normal level of energy (although who can tell, things are so weird), but still have some concentration problems. it's been weird! hope you feel better soon!
