  1. I had reformatted a couple of times and redid the copying of files several times and finally got them all (for the most part) to work. Some folders didn't have 255 files and still caused problems. In fact one folder only had 4 roms and had problems, but recopying a couple of times had fixed that. Thanks for the information.
  2. I am having issues now with my Phoenix reading the memory card and running certain roms. I have tried two different SD cards and I'm experiencing the same issue where I get a failed to open directory error. I am also getting an error sometimes where it says that the rom format is not compatible, but that some rom will work on the colecovision core for the MiSTer. My Phoenix was an original run Adam colored version. Where is the latest firmware updates located? Does anyone have any idea what can fix these errors? I am hoping to get this fixed before the new rom vault is released. Thanks in advance.
  3. If you haven't jumped on board yet, you should! I have been a member for the past two years and the exclusives are always worth it. Last years game was absolutely amazing! Probably one of the best on the system.
  4. Try the 2020 Secret game and you will surely forget that 2020 sucked. It really is that great.
  5. I will do my best to promote this as well. If people are reading this and haven't joined the club yet, last year's secret game was absolutely amazing! If this year's secret game is anywhere near the quality of last year's it will absolutely be worth joining the club!
  6. In the US they are just starting to send out stimulus checks. It might be a good idea to extend the deadline a couple of weeks.
  7. Wavy Navy is awesome. The added waves and mines adds a lot of challenge to the shoot 'em up genre.
  8. The dude is wearing a "My chemical romance" t-shirt. Can we really take him seriously?
  9. I have been a hardcore gamer since 1980 and I like the Amico. In fact that's what I am looking forward to the most in regards to the upcoming consoles. I just need a site now. 😉
  10. I have been thinking about this for awhile and I know that the retro market is a small part of what you are going after with the Amico. I would absolutely love to see more arcade game collections. One that really needs to happen is an Exidy collection. They have made a lot of classics in the early 80s. You have games like Mouse Trap, Venture, Pepper II, Targ, Spectar, Cheyenne, Crossbow, and several quirkier titles like Hard Hat, Fax, Victory, etc. I think that a Exidy classics collection would be a great addition to the Amico library. It could be cool if there were updated versions as well as the original. It would be awesome to get them all in one package, but at the price point that Amico titles would be selling at I would not have any reservations if they were broken up into different volumes.
  11. Woohoo! I am glad to see some more games coming from you. I always enjoyed your games and felt they had a really cool style to them. I look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
  12. Is there any plans for a pinball game for the Amico? I would love to have both a video game style pinball and also a collection based on real pinball tables. I wanted to tell you a story that happened on Founders day. I was at my job when it was time for getting the preorder for the founders edition. I told my workmate before hand that I wanted to pre-order the unit and informed him that I would jump on my phone when it was time. He is 24 and hasn't played an original Intellivision before and asked some questions about it. I got in on preordering it about three minutes after getting the email. After our class I told him that I got a preorder for the Amico and he then brought up the Night Stalker video and watched it from beginning to end. He turned to me after and simply said, "I think I might have to sell my Switch for one of these."
  13. There is no comparison with a raspberry pie. The MiSTer isn't emulation, the FPGA is rewritten every time you load a new core. The FPGA actually simulates the system on a hardware level. The Atari 8 bit core is as good as real hardware. I would actually say it's better because it has dual pokey support, and you can change settings on the fly so PAL and NTSC will not be an issue. It is totally worth the price of admission.
  14. Thank you. The MiSTer will make it a lot easier for me to participate as I always have that hooked up to my main TV. For those that haven't heard of the MiSTer project, it is an FPGA system that is open source. It is not an emulator and basically "simulates" the logic in the actual system that you are playing a core of. If you are interested in getting a MiSTer setup feel free to IM me and I will pass along information on where to get a complete setup or answer any questions. It has tons of cores to choose from to play all kinds of computer, console, and arcade games. On the Atari 8-bit side it can change between PAL and NTSC on the fly and also has dual pokey support.
  15. My current high score is 204,500. This was played on "skilled" skill level on my MiSTer.
  16. The units are finally shipping this week? Where do I go to update my address?
  17. Here is an idea that I think is interesting. Back in the 80s there was a series of books called Fighting Fantasy. They were kind of like choose your own adventure books, but you played them with dice and there were several options to go through the game. In the last year or so they started to make these for video game consoles. For the Switch there are The Warlock of Firetop Mountain and Deathtrap Dungeon Trilogy. Although I like them both, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is the slightly better one. I recommend both of them for some fun gaming. These titles bring the fun of Dungeons and Dragons without the need for a Dungeon Master. The console takes the role of the Dungeon Master. I would love to see a game like this where multiple people can play. The different players could choose to venture off on their own to collect extra treasures or battle other creatures before meeting up again. This could be achieved with the screen on the controllers. The dungeon master could then state what is happening with both parties and could also state when they have split up or rejoined. Battles could be swayed by how many people are fighting them and adversely single players have a higher chance to sneak past various dangers. That would be a day one purchase for me.
  18. In regards to Imagic games, I would like to see an updated Laser Gates. That was a later release for the Atari 2600 and I believe Atari 8 bit line. It would be really cool to have multiplayer strike force attacking the laser gates.
  19. Is the rom attached on the first post the final version of the rom that appears on cartridge?
  20. It was. I got the Coleco game first and then the Intellivision a couple of weeks later or so.
  21. I got bought the ColecoVision and Intellivision club this year and like them. I will probably get the next year, but how many more or different games will be in the vault for 2020 from 2019?
  22. I also found that Q*Bert Qubes also benefit from "flicker" being enabled. There are some graphic glitches with flicker being disabled.
  23. Could Food Fight be one of the Atari licenses that you have? That could be a great addition to the Amico family.
  24. Just checking to make sure that I didn't miss anything. Does the Analogue Pocket have a preorder option? Are they not accepting preorders?
