  1. Holy shit, this has to be a record for them. Shortest time span between two consecutive updates. Also, its actually about the damn console. While the update certainly didnt make matters worse for them, i still wish they'd actually show us more about the OS, or make a video. Those are just renders.
  2. LOL! Yeah X3 But yeah, Europeans got screwed with their t-shirt orders. I didn't get any extra customs charges for that, it was just like $30 straight up. Still though, that really should've been free. I was just testing them to see if they'd actually keep that promise in delivering something smaller. Miraculously they in fact did.
  3. XDDD Thanks! Yeah, I get pretty bored at work. o u o
  4. Just visited the Indiegogo page, and all the stuff mentioned are still there for me. o 3 o Maybe I have to clear my browser cache, I dunno.
  5. Haven't you heard? Atari never follows the rules for anything. They got away with not reading over Indiegogo's TOS. LOL! XD
  6. pAAASSSSin' gAAAASSSS outta my AAAASSSS real fAAAASSSSSt.
  7. More like it takes dick to be this ass.
  8. I have a taco that can run Crysis 6. ;D
  9. Also, they made literally no mention about being at GDC 2019. Considering that it's starting tomorrow, I'm willing to bet that Atari have made no plans to attend it-- otherwise they would've mentioned that in the update.
  10. Oh, hey look, an 11th update with nearly the same amount of substance as the 10th update... I say "nearly", because they actually revealed that the console is now getting upgraded to an AMD Ryzen APU, and they've delayed the release to the end of 2019. So will that be the routine now? Every year they release like 4 updates, 3 of which have nothing to do with the progress of the project whatsoever, and 1 that has a small blurb saying "Yeah, we delayed the system another 6 months and bumped up to an APU from one from 2015 to one from 2016. Give me the Google/Sega console. XP
  11. Tomorrow is Google's GDC event. ;D Really? Huh, I thought Atari acquired that one first.
  12. Thanks! It's actually got a Sega theme to it though >:3 RRRRAAAAAAAWWWWRRRHHHH...…..
  13. That makes sense. o u o After Sega went to third-party publishing, I more or less stuck with them. A bunch of games I played in the sixth generation include Driv3r, Sonic Heroes, the Guitar Hero games, Beatles Rockband, etc. Occasionally I would go over to a friend's house and watch them play Call of Duty or GTA, and those games never clicked with me at all. Driv3r did because it was just so ridiculous that I found it enjoyable. Besides that, I would often go back to my Sega Genesis and just play games on there, or play emulated games on PC. When it came to consoles, I stuck with Nintendo mostly, but I _did_ eventually get a PS3. But I mainly used it as a Blu-ray player. I don't have many games for it at all, only like 5 or so (a couple of which are Sega games). After that I wanted to get adventurous and try different consoles from the big 3-- like the Ouya. So I backed that project, received the console and actually became a developer for it while the system was commercially "relevant". More recently I've been doing basically all of my gaming on PC. I essentially built a good version of what Atari is trying to do with the VCS, and the system I made is awesome. I have it set up with special .bat files that I can click on, so I can switch between PC mode and console mode, but I managed to still keep it Windows-based. And I have it hooked up to my TV and an Xbox One controller (Eventually I plan on getting the Sega/Retro-Bit analog controllers for it). The only issue with it was that it cost a lot of money. x.x ============= TL;DR Sorry for rambling on and on. What I was basically trying to say was, it feels like that because Sega stopped making their own platforms, I was sort of alienated and didn't know where to go next, and I didn't really like much what was popular coming out. So I kinda got the competitors' consoles because I had to. And when any opportunity arose that I was able to try something else, I took it. This year is pretty interesting in the realm of gaming because we have Google coming in, and they're completely different (plus they're working with Sega). Also PC technology is getting better, and Nintendo is actually shaping up to be a bit better themselves. They got rid of their creators' program, and they just recently switched (no pun intended ) presidents. So I'm kind of hopeful that I'll be able to warm up to Nintendo a little more.
  14. I only thought of a couple of the things mentioned above by others, but yeah, that's basically what I was going to say. xD That said, another thing that bugged me about Nintendo was Reggie Fils-Aime.... MAN, he annoyed me. He was way too corporate and robotic in his public appearances, and it was just creepy to watch him sometimes. x.x I'm very glad he left. Hopefully that new "Bowser" guy at Nintendo doesn't come off that way and has a more natural "motif" to him. o w o
  15. LOL, thanks dude. Normally I don't like being bitchy like that.
  16. I agree. ;3 Though I already used up like 3 days of sick time already, not much left from that. I really feel like I need to chill the fuck out though.
  17. That's problematic for you guys though, because if you're actually right about something you'll have a hard time getting me to want to heed your advice. Our parents taught us to play nice as kids..
  18. (deleted) Sorry, i have a cold today so i'm like grumpy right now.,.
  19. Actually I was too young to understand those commercials, so technically no, I didn't buy into them. My cousin (who was my idol) showed me the Sega Genesis, and I wanted one too. And he was playing Sonic, which looked cool. I was also exposed to Mario as well, but Sonic just looked more fun and clicked with me better. I'm going to support the company that makes things I like, and it just so happens Sega makes more things I like than Nintendo.
  20. Well, I like the stuff Sega puts out better than Nintendo, so yeah, that brand sticks out to me a bit more. And sure, they don't care about me personally. That's impossible anyway, given how many millions of gamers they probably serve. The thing to look at is whether they care about customers in general. And it seems to me that Sega does moreso than Nintendo.
  21. Maybe I am exaggerating it, yeah. Still kinda stands though-- we heard about them doing it, but not really anybody else.
  22. Not sure how I ended up having to spell this situation out, but here it goes: I am a fan of Sega, not so much Nintendo. What does that mean exactly? It means I like the IP's and systems Sega puts out moreso than Nintendo's. I had a childhood with the Genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog. I also really like Sega's other IP's like Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, Jet Set Radio, Shenmue, and Crazy Taxi. I personally think Mario is dopey and obnoxious, and Sonic is cooler. Pokemon is annoying as fuck to me. Now I do like a couple of their IP's like Zelda and Kirby. But for the most part, Nintendo stuff doesn't appeal to me so much. Their systems aren't bad, but the company doesn't make good decisions. They absolutely despise anything loyal fans make that includes their IP's, even if it's impressive work and it isn't for profit. Nintendo's just like "Here, have a DMCA notice! :D". Sega never really does that usually. Nintendo does it like all the time. They also completely nearly single-handedly killed the emulation scene last year. Sega overall has a better attitude than Nintendo, and they actually connect with their fans for livestreams and events like SEGAFES, etc. Sega's even worked with their fans on projects like Sonic Mania and the Shenmue re-release (Adam Koralik worked with them to publicize it). When Nintendo hosts one of their Direct's, it's literally a pre-produced presentation. Most of what they show during those presentations isn't appealing to me, and actually I've seen other people like RGT85 and SpawnWave complain about the Directs not being very good. The other thing too is, those Directs treat the viewers like brainwashed guinea pigs, which kinda rubs me the wrong way. Up until very recently, Nintendo didn't even allow people to stream their games on YouTube, you had to be part of their Creators' program. I also grew up with Sega products as a kid, so I have more sentimental attachment to Sega than I do with Nintendo. So there you go. Hope that helps you understand what I mean better.
  23. Not yet actually. I probably shouldn't have declared it as a "fact", but it seems to have come from a reputable source (SpawnWave).
  24. Nah, I'm just not a huge Nintendo fan. I consider Nintendo the best current-gen console maker, but they still screw up a lot. I mainly bought a Switch because I liked the concept of the hardware itself, and I wanted a way to play Sonic Mania/Puyo Puyo Tetris/etc. portably. As you probably recall, I don't care at all about the PS4 or Xbox One, etc. PC is pretty much my main platform of choice for gaming, but I really like the fact that Sega's doing work with Google here.
