So guys... I just finished watching this crazy movie, and after thinking about it for a bit, I realized it's very similar to the Atari VCS. You get lured in, because it looks awesome and it seems like a promising new opportunity, but then you get eaten alive:

Well, I was telling my friend about the whole VCS debacle just now, and he brought up one very interesting point: This will be Atari's most successful console in the last 15 years........ ............. ......... Technically he isn't wrong. Lol

You know what Atari needs to make? The Atari VCS CD module. It would use a proprietary CD format that doesn't play on regular DVD/BlueRay/CD-ROM drives and you can only use CD's pressed specifically for it. Rather than the laser reading data from the center of the CD and going outward, it should read from the edge of the CD, going inward towards the center. Then only have 1st party Atari titles on it, and only release 4 games for it in total. ;D That...…. would be...……. amazing. xD ……. oh, and Atari needs to make their own foreign CPU architecture for it (dual physical CPU's linked together-- one called "Sylvester" and the other called "Tweety"), so emulation for this CD add-on can never be achieved for another 60 years.

Atari seems to be getting annoyed... And I'm not sure why I actually took the time to respond to them.. I should've learned my lesson by now XP

Yet another reason why I used to be so adamant that the VCS would be a good product. The people that have their names associated with the VCS project now have to live with that reputation in other projects they take on. Back then I was like, "why would anyone want to put their careers in jeopardy like that?" Lol... I guess some people don't give a fuck about their careers (or screwing up other peoples' careers). o u o

That is where I have to give the Ouya a lot of credit-- for making just shy of $10 million, they actually managed to get the system in stores for $99. I actually remember actually walking into my local GameStop, and they had advertisements for the Ouya right at the entrance.

Kinda sad that Sega puts out the Genesis Mini (their first actual piece of hardware in 20 years, and it's a mini console), and it's going to easily outsell the VCS by a huge margin.

Oh, the mini consoles will outsell this by far. I bet the Genesis Mini will sell at least 2 million units.

It's funny you ask this actually, because this was one of the things I thought of when I was supporting the VCS. I figured back then that "whoever owns the brand already knows the brand is dead, so logically speaking they're likely going to do everything in their power to make it a relevant brand again, right?" Logic doesn't work with every company though, that's something I've grown to learn.

That's one thing I'm curious about-- what's "modified" about the browser? Lol. Wouldn't it just be a standard Linux version of Firefox? xD
