I know alot of the people who work in the local stores, but they aren't exactly people persons . most of them have grown bitter from years of children asking stupid questions, and people wondering why there copy of madden 99 isn't worth what they paid for it .

and i think that SegGala was for the SG-1000, witch is why it probably didn't impress. I've never heard of a Genesis Galaga, but I've been wrong before...

as my username would suggest, this is a topic I hold dear. for Playstation 1- Strikers 1945, Mobile Light force, Gekioh shooting king PS2- Castle shikigami 1 & 2, GRADIUS V!!!!!, Xbox360- Raiden Fighers Collection, Raiden 5, Deathsmiles, plus a ton on XBLA every body else beat me to most of the old school ones. Genny and TG 16 are the best old school for shooters. check out Sol-Deace on the sega.

Nothing but the original, terrible, 7800 joysticks or the more obscure joypads will map correctly. Don't worry though, most of the community feels your pain. Seek out the wisdom of the man they call The.Golden.Ax. He shall save you from your suffering with fantastical mods of a most wonderful sort. He Converted a NES Advantage joystick to work on the 7800 for me, and lo, it was good.

I have the Data East collection on Wii. Pretty good. it does have Burgertime and alot of other good ones! Why do you refuse to get a Wii? Dont like Nintendo? maybe once the Wii U comes out and the Wii is a "classic" system and the used systems are going really cheap you will get one. there are some good games once you are able to look past the hundreds and hundreds of crappy shovelware games...... Here are some of the classic style games and compilations i own, along with quite a few other good games i wont mention: Super Mario Anniversary Collection SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 Metroid Trilogy compilation Data East Arcade Classics (of course) Geometry Wars (great space shooter from the 360 arcade) King of Fighters collection Ultimate Shooting Collection (space shooters) Samurai Shodown Anthology Bit Trip Complete (think activision) Namco Museum Remix Namco Museum Megamix Metal Slug Anthology It's not that I hate Nintendo, or that I have an aversion to modern systems. I hate the fact that I would have to set up the little sensor bar every time I want to play the thing because you HAVE to use the motion controls to use the system. There are a hand full of games besides the DE Collection that I'm jealous of- Castle Shikigami 3, Murumasa Blade, the "rebirth" Konami titles, but when you have a bunch of systems, It's hard to justify leaving the Wii set up full time. Or messing with the sensor bar and motion controls.

Speaking of collections, did any of you pick up the Data East Arcade collection that came out on Wii? I've got every compilation for the PS2, and alot of the PSX ones, so I was kind of annoyed when this one was Wii exclusive (I refuse to own a Wii.....)

The fact of the matter is, most people in these forums already have a 2600. sometimes multiple 2600's. You might bet a response if you post a good price. Just trying to be helpful .

??? are you thinking of the arcade version of Moonwalker? the Genesis version is a platformer where you have to save children from closets(thank you Micheal!!) and isn't very much like Streets of Rage.

Is you're tv a 100hz tv? Since i have some light guns that act strange after i changed to a 100hz tv. If i use my 50hz tv i don't have a problem. No, it's nothing like that. Two of the light guns I had were loose and would'nt even register 90% of the time, the last one I got didn't even fire. Just on a losing streak .

You are correct, any Euro cart as far as I can tell will work fine. I picked up a UK copy of Sonic for .99 GBP a little while back. The only thing from japan that interests me is the early SG 1000 games, but investment is steep since you either have to find a SG 3000, Dina 2-in-1, or an SG 1000 (HA!) Also, if you find a working light gun, KEEP IT. I've gone through three so far, and NONE of them work right. and NO, I am not using an LCD TV.

Has any one ever tried replacing one of the power LED's on a Genesis model 2? I just picked one up for 4.00 at a thrift, but the LED is broken. At first I thought the system didn't work at all, good thing I'm thorough . I'm thinking about putting in a different color, maybe blue or white. Does any one know wich LED I need? Can I find it at Radio shack or do I have to go online?
