  1. WOW. I think you nailed it. +2 for you sir. I'm not looking to get another system right now, as my dozen or so other systems are always "hungry" as it is. Although if I happen to find a cheap Dina, I certainly wouldn't hesitate
  2. I don't have a Coleco either, so a Dina 2-in-1 isn't a terrible idea. how much do those run, assuming you can even find one?
  3. Man, I stopped reading this thread cuz I thought it would be XM exclusive, I check back and carts are already shipped! GAH! Put me on whatever list there is to be on. PM sent just to be sure .
  4. Heres the question- I know the Japanese master system (MK lll) will play the earlier SG-1000 games. however, in Japan, the carts for both of these systems more closely resemble a coleco cart than a Master system. what I would like to know is if there has ever been some manner of pin converter made that would allow you to play SG-1000 games on an american master system, or is the only way to play these obscure games is snagging a japanese system?
  5. I have a Wico Track ball and like it a lot better than the Atari brand one.
  6. Picked up U.N. Squadron for the SNES for 5 bucks, Excellent side scrolling shooter by Capcom, with a bit more depth than most. If you don't have it yet, snag it while its still cheap, all the good shooters seem to be goin up these days.
  7. Yeah gamestop lists this as coming out in a couple of days, but I think the price said 49.99. I got all excited when I read 30, I woulda bought it day one for that price.
  8. Very tempting offer, if I bring it to you, do i still get the couple of bucks for shipping? gas aint cheap you know . Tell you what, I'll trade you for a copy of Yoshi's story, but only the international version. thats the one my kid really wants.
  9. Dungeoncrawl Stone soup is one of the best. still in active development and even has an extensive wiki on wikia. free too. http://crawl.chaosforge.org/index.php?title=CrawlWiki
  10. Trying to wrangle up some money to snag a copy of Child of Eden and/or download Radiant Silvergun for my Xbox. I've got a loose copy of Shining Force II for Genesis. There is a bit of marker on the label, I didn't notice it when I bought it . I can't seem to attach a photo on here for some reason, I will Email a pic to any interested party. 20 bucks plus a couple a bucks shipping takes her home.
  11. Adventure Island 2 and 3 for NES were great adventure platformers. Fans of the original should check out new adventure island on PC engine/TG16. It's very similar to the original game with just enough tweaks to make it feel, well, new.
  12. UPDATE: I did actually finally get this game to work, it was an issue of timing. Don't hold down the buttons until right AFTER you turn the system on. and after all that, the game is quite terrible . Thanks everyone!
  13. Man, everything you guys are saying is what I've been doing, will hang-on pop up, then go to snail maze if I continue to hold the buttons?
  14. I have had a couple of master systems over the years, and I have NEVER been able to get the secret snail maze game to work on any of them. Everything I've read says hold A & B while pressing up on the D pad, then reset the system. Do some of these master systems (USA) not have this game built in? the current version I have boots up with just Hang-on built in.
  15. My god!! I almost died watching this!!! that guy is an INCREDIBLE douche!
  16. What, no love for Super Explosive Bangai-o!!!!! all of you, go play this. now. the newer ones (DS, XBXLA) don't do this version justice. Explosions! so many missles!! And I'll throw in for Capcom Vs. SNK 2 being the best fighter ever made. I'm a huge fighter fan, and there hasn't been anything even close ever since.
  17. Was that the store outside the Greece Mall? I don't recall ever stopping ever stopping in. yeah that was the one. i worked there for years, we had a lot of old school stuff. i used to just put out any "strange looking" atari games for 5-10 dollars . wondering if you had ever scored anything good off me back then, but i suppose not.
  18. AAAAH!! you must be my Someguy!! Seeing as how I've bought very little in the way of related items locally (within a 40 mile radius) within the last two years, probably not. I found some common Atari 2600 and Intellivison carts that were reasonably priced last weekend, but they were out near Buffalo. ah I see. did you by any chance ever shop at a (now defunct) rochester game store called GameStation?
  19. Are these "antique hunters" and "treasure seekers' reality shows driving any one else up the wall? they show some guy walking into a pawn shop and getting a hundred bucks for an Atari, now every one thinks there old stuff is worth thousands of dollars. Granted, the guy had a box with close to a hundred games with the Atari, but all everyone sees is Atari=100$. "boy, if the pawn shop is giving THEM a hundred for it, it must be worth THOUSANDS!!!" It's making it so the only place you can get reasonable prices is here on the forums, and forget about hunting in the wild. I'm pretty sure most of the local thrift stores put all that stuff on Ebay now, and there are at least three people on my local Craigslist trying to sell regular Ataris with a dozen R1 games for 200$ and up. Is anyone else running into this?
  20. Yeah someone on here got this, it was a nice haul too. pretty sure he talked the guy down to 50 bux. check in the classic computing section, pretty sure he posted pics in there.
