U1 is the CIA chip right? Haven't opened it yet, but that was the first place I was going to check out.

So, I'm using an SD drive and an epyx fastload reloaded on my C64. I had just tried out a new file (Lunar Lander homebrew) and used the soft reset on the fast load cart, and when it booted back up the C64 just started.... typing on its own. the cursor keeps moving to the right, and random characters are inputed, mostly the > symbol. Any idea what the hell happened, and how to fix it?

i'm really interested in checking out the ZX Spectrum, especially the homebrew scene. Alas, I am in the US, and all of the options seem daunting. Right now I am considering getting a Timex Sinclair 2056 with a ZX Spectrum ROM chip in it, and run a divMMC device like this https://www.thefuturewas8bit.com/index.php/divmmcfuture. But from what i understand, the pin connection on the back of the Timex isn't the same as the ZX. And im also unsure of what type of joysticks work with the TImex. I know it is all pretty obscure, but does any one have any experience with this?

I know the 2600 probably couldn't cut it, but the 8 bits, or 7800 shouldve done a fine job.

I know about the 7800 version, it's just garbage. Surprised no one has "fixed" it yet.

Other than the SG-1000 port, there seems to be no real "arcade" port of Galaga on the pre systems. Why is that? I'm really surprised no one has attempted to make a homebrew of such a major gap in the Atari library. I understand that it is everywhere in arcade perfect form on all the namco museums, but so is pac man, and there are multiple hacks and homebrews of Pac-man. Is it a technical issue?
