  1. I know the Super Mario Bros requires the F18, is that the only one?
  2. I dont think I intend to use it, but more interested in at least running it and seeing if it works? As far as the F18, does it only output in VGA? i dont have a monitor and i only use Flat screen tubes in my game room that i dont believe have VGA inputs.
  3. Haven't seen this mentioned here yet, great Galaga style homebrew, now supporting NTSC. I spent the 5 bucks to download it and run it on my IEC2SD, and it is amazing. Kind of funny to think I'm paying for DLC for Commodore 64.... what a time to be alive! https://galencia.itch.io/galencia
  4. So i posted here a few days ago looking for advice about starting to mess with my Fathers old TI994a. Got to digging today, found a dirty old computer (that is now shiny) tons and tons of paperwork and books, a few boring game carts. There is also an expansion box, that i believe has 32k, floppy, and something else... disk controller? should i try and mess with this beast, or just get the new sidecar 32K? from what i can tell these are pretty in demand? Also found two games on cassette by a company Moonbeam Software, both CIB; Strike Force 99 and Moon-Vasion. Couldn't find much at all about them online, are they worth trying to find a cassette drive?
  5. I played Parsec in my youth, and wanted to play it again, was the whole reason i dug it out. I couldn't figure out the controllers last time, didn't know my dad was using a converter back in the day.
  6. I went with this one and was successful, aside from a few burns and a small section of melted case http://www.retrofixes.com/2016/03/atari-7800-ntsc-composite-mod.htmldidnt check for the potential problems with audio on Xevious and Midnight Mutants though.
  7. Looking for the most accurate Composite mod guide for 7800. The top one that comes up on google seems to have some question as to what resistors to move.
  8. Seriously, why can no two games agree on what port to use? why do so many games insist on using port 2? is there a technical reason?
  9. Im about to dig my fathers old Ti994a out of his basement, i tried getting into it once already, but the games he had where pretty uninspiring. But after seeing how much support there is in the community, I'm going to give it another go. Whats the best SD card Device, and what games should i track down? Homebrew stuff?
  10. Got a very reasonable priced Amstrad CPC 464 shipped to the states. was shipped quickly and well secured and packed.
  11. Had a custom made joystick made for me, great communication the whole way through, got exactly what i wanted.
  12. Wasn't somebody teasing they had some info about a Zoo Keeper proto a while back? or was i only dreaming....
  13. Damn, i don't really WANT an Odyssey 2, but 60 shipped... sweet deal for whoever pulls the trigger and fills me with regret.
  14. Zooookeeeeeper. what ever happened to that guy who was teasing he found the proto? Double yes on the silver labels, i wish more homebrews followed "traditional" atari styles, red label, silver label etc.
  15. As someone who JUST finished my NTSC red label collection, no, 4 bucks is about on point for those, maybe a bit more on occasion.
  16. I know, I know. But I grow weary of playing C64 with cx40s. I rarely ever hook up my coleco because it feels "awkward" compared to my other machines.
  17. Trying to raise some cash for a fancy joystick, so i'm letting this go since i can play the SG 1000 version on my SMS now. here it is http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gulkave-Colecovision-CIB-mint-/142453000794?hash=item212adc4a5a:g:UzcAAOSwl5dZcpg8
  18. Would the two button version be safe to use with a C64, or would I need to worry about frying the control chip?
  19. Want to grab a few demos to run off my SD device, any suggestions?
  20. Looking for good sources of info about past and future homebrew releases.... advice?
  21. Another noob topic, I've always used my Sega Genesis Arcade Stick with my 9-pin vintage consoles, even going so far as to buy an adapter to use it for two button games on my 7800. But i have heard through a bit of googling that Sega controllers can damage a chip on the Commodore? is there any truth to that, and would using my 7800 adapter negate that problem?
