Be sure to update the bootloader on the Pi 4. There are fixes for power and heat management on both the SoC and the USB 3 controller. Get package rpi-eeprom, then run sudo rpi-eeprom-update.

I'm trying to bring back a TI that I got in a salvage lot. The power switch was missing, so I printed a new one. Unfortunately, it turns out the internal carrier that bridges the outer switch to the inner switch on the board is also missing. Does anyone have a print design they'd be willing to share?

According to the album text, it's a working controller for Kerbal Space Program, which is a complex PC spaceflight simulator.

Having fun with Dragon's Lair at Midwest Gaming Classic, Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee.
Mike's packaging material is on the easel. The poster art is on the joystick console

I couldn't walk by without playing it, even though I have a copy at home. The castle was so awesome!

No hardware is included i use the same #2 Screws i use in the joystick adapter for the acrylic cover

I just got everything mounted for my TIPI PEB, so I figured I'd share the parts specs. I bought assortments because I know I'll use them on other projects.
Screws: #2-56x3/8" - I suspect if you used shorter screws, you'd have trouble getting the nuts started at the USB port end of the Pi.

Washers: 2x M3 nylon per screw. This gave me enough clearance, but not by much. I had trouble fitting a simple cable tie under the Pi to help tidy the wiring.

I ended up using a ac voltage fan as they can run off the same power the old fan did.. and I don't have to jerryrig anything to the 12/5v lines got them at frys https://www.frys.com/product/8726151?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG

Folks who have gone this route, how did you fit the 120mm fan into place? The original mounting holes are for an 80mm fan.

I have noticed that the Google Drive integration in JS99er is broken and probably has been so for a while. Since nobody has reported it I assume that nobody is using this feature (including myself), and I can remove it rather than converting it to the new version. Please let me know if you disagree.
I liked having the option, but the warnings Drive gives about using an unsigned extension might scare people off.
But that's part of the magic of open source. If someone here is passionate enough about the feature, they can always fix it and submit a pull request for your consideration.
This thing is so cool. Thanks for continuing to improve it! I love the feature to link directly to a cart.

Would USB Type C be an alternative worth considering? The connector is nice and small, but I don't know much about the necessary controllers other than you can route DisplayPort lanes in.

Hence the "gdpr." I was planning to download to see the effort you put into it. I got a giggle from "No fair disassembling to look at my horrible code."
Really not much effort, other than what was needed to figure out the gcc for TI install. At least now I have a starting point for something more ambitious.

Don't know what your intention is here, but a post this vague with attachments just screams "stranger-danger"
This turns my curiosity off, not on.
Wow. Sorry. It was just a privacy policy joke.

After deleting emails last week from every service I use, I felt a need to put a little something together. No fair disassembling to look at my horrible code. Would have had it done sooner, but I was traveling.

I'd like to see a pic where the Field Museum (or was it Science and Industry?) in Chicago was using a TI as a Kiosk display up until the late 90's/early 2000's.

It was MSI. Last few pictures of this thread. https://www.99er.net/chicago/chicago.html
I always loved going to see them!

I did notice one thing... even though I started off with a 64GB SD card (which may have been overkill), the PC now reads the card as much smaller?

I wonder what the Raspberry Pie will think of that?
I did this one time with a 64GB Sandisk microSD, still haven't got it recovered? Don't know if there is a program to re-establish the size. But you can't format a SDXC in a device that will only go to a SDHC size which is only from <2 GB to 32 GB.
You've almost certainly got partitions on the card that Windows Explorer is not going to show you. There should at least be a Linux swap partition. You will need to use Disk Management in Windows or gparted on Linux.

Someone on the "TI 99ers" Facebook page just posted 2 PEBs with drives and cards for sale in Quebec City.

PS: what is RPG?
In that context, probably the RPG programming language from IBM: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IBM_RPG
RPG is also the name of the first level of the Tron arcade game, followed by COBOL and BASIC.

4. The first three entries in the menu are PC crap like trash, filesystem, and other hidden file garbage. Is there a way get rid of that?
PeBo discusses that problem in this post: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/267952-my-finalgrom99-venture/?p=3813426

Well of course that is the windows file "System Volume Information". Since I don;t want any folders that are not TI related I used a trick a friend taught me back when that folder was first introduced
Similar things will show up if you use a Mac to set up your card, like .spotlight-v100. You can run 'dotclean /Volumes/YOURCARD' from a terminal window before you eject the card.

I've glanced through the source and didn't see it, but I'm not really a web developer. Is there a way to create a js99er URL with configuration options for the emulator? Something like http://js99er.net?software=Parsec?speech=true

I finally uploaded the preliminary documentation for the FinalGROM 99: https://endlos99.github.io/finalgrom99/.
That documentation is very well done. Great work!

My Lotharek is almost here. Hopefully tomorrow!
I bought an empty NIB PEB from a local seller on eBay. He was a developer back in the heyday and bought an extra in case his went bad. It was great not to pay shipping.
I only had a cassette recorder as a kid, so I'm excited to finally get to use disk-based software.

Those commands are written for either Linux or Mac. On Windows, use the Windows Command Prompt and use backslashes instead of forward slashes. You need to be in the root of the repository (wherever you cloned or unzipped the download) before running the commands.
