  1. Common sense sounds good to me as well. Unfortunately, those who post these types of post-auction links either: A. They have no common sense with regards to the possible consequences of their actions (good intentions and all...) or B. They know fair well what they are doing, and either don't care or they have their own reasons for posting the link. Either way, I agree with the OP with regards to this situation being pretty lame, but I don't see how it could be effectively moderated without driving the Mods insane. This is just a terribly sore subject, and is a testament to how eBay still has its' many flaws. Nothing's perfect tho. I've had this exact type of scenario happen to me several times on eBay (even before I became a member here). It is sad to see that some collectors are a bit more cutthroat than others when it comes to what should just be a fun hobby (it is about playing video games after all...right?). Bummer.
  2. Based on the high quality photo you have there, my guess would be Air Raid - sealed in the box! For real tho...Atari Bowling Pic label is my guess:
  3. Wow!!! What a great deal. I'm bummed cause I just spent way too much money on eBay last night (not on Atari for a change). I would have definitely snapped this up otherwise. I guess my terrible Hozer repro cart will need to continue acting as the eye-sore place holder that it is in my collection for a while longer.
  4. It's always the last 15 seconds of an auction like this that get exciting!!!!
  5. Nice! I wonder who got this one...not me for sure! Congrats Mother-In-Law!!!!
  6. 1 minute left...who's gonna get their name added to that registry list??????
  7. 5 minute warning gang...time to bust out the popcorn!!!!
  8. Agreed~ I feel like this is one of those later Atari releases that really deserves its' due. Great game! I always have it in the regular rotation of games I love to play.
  9. Damn!!!!! I wish I was in the area. One of my favorite movies of all time! I would love to see it on the big screen. Bummer for me here in NJ . Do enjoy!
  10. Sure... I just need to figure out why my scanner doesn't work with my new laptop . I will get it done this weekend!
  11. I still have my trusty C= up and running, so I play these as they were meant to be played all the time. Although, a phone is NOT a console, I use my iPhone all the time for games (as a way of killing time on the plane/train/bus/etc.) and I would love to have one of my all time favs on there. That's all. IMHO, if they tried to do this on the Xbox or PS3, it would just end up looking like Warcraft, and I would likely be disappointed. I just love the way the old game looks and played...I only wish I could play it on the go!
  12. I would love to see a re-make or at very least a good port of Ultima II, III and IV to the iPhone / Android. I couldn't think of a better game to work on the phone. It might be difficult with the keypad on the iphone (touch screen) but would def. work on a phone with a slide out keyboard!
  13. Me neither....I was starting to get concerned myself. I am in NJ and so is the seller. He said on Sunday (when I paid) that it would ship on Monday. It's Friday now, so I hope everything is ok with him. Hopefully, he just got busy and he will respond to our messages this weekend.
  14. I've always wondered about my copy: The cart looks like some kind of pirate, but it's really short (about 2/3 the length of a normal cart). Does anyone know who manufactured this? (PS: it's NTSC)
  15. Geraldo was so much more entertaining when he was getting bashed in the face with chairs and blasting through vaults. But, ya know, even if you found an Atari landfill site and dug down and pulled out some squished garbage, people would still say you weren't digging in the RIGHT landfill. It's an unsolvable mystery. Geraldo can check out my closet anytime....he's bound to find about 40 copies of ET in a box with a bunch of busted joysticks and consoles waiting for repair!!!! (a much better haul than Al C's vaults)
  16. Here's how the "Atari Landfill" episode of Mythbusters would likely look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P84OKTUx6LY&feature=related
  17. Ahhhh...so they're cute (and expensive) rats! JK...I used to own a pair of Sugar Gliders (AKA: flying cute rats )
  18. Yep...it started here: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/179657-themother-in-law-auctions/page__p__2275299#entry2275299
  19. That is one interesting article! I just skimmed it. Going to look at it in detail now. Thanks for sharing!
  20. Wow I couldn't even see the T-handle in the way way back! Nice find! Picked this up today for seven bucks at a local gaming store for 7 bucks. Wow! I never even knew that existed! How is the game play? I didn't own an original Xbox till recently.
  21. October it too far!!! (not to mention, I need to start saving some $$$...this fall is going to be an expensive one...so many good releases!)
  22. Just bought two games from revolutionika and everything went great! A smooth transaction across the board. Excellent communication, well packaged and fast shipping. Revolutionika is a very fair and honest trader. I would highly recommend working with him!
  23. Atari 2600 woody console with 19 Games and joysticks for $41 off of eBay. I can't believe I saw this and didn't even have a minor bidding war. You will understand why when you see what's in the picture (and no...it's not the joystick missing its' boot): I always wanted a T-handle for my collection!!!
