  1. All that matters is that I consider all of these retro-systems to be part of MY GENERATION. I grew up on these systems, and at the time I couldn't have really cared less which one was generation 1, 2, 3, etc... Nowadays, if I were to try and figure out which one is from which actual generation, I would go nuts and develop a stutter….maybe that explains what happened to Roger Daltrey... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uswXI4fDYrM

    Where are you located?
  3. I can send you the chip, if that would help??
  4. The only one that had a pin broken off is the one in the first photo. This was removed from the socket which is empty in the second photo (top left). I am not sure if that helps explain it. Let me know if I need to provide more detail when I get home. Thanks again!
  5. Here are the pics of the EPROM with the broken pin: I have the board with 10 EPROMS, and this one is on the top of the row, with the board connection to the left (see pics). Let me know if that is enough info. Thanks again!
  6. Agreed. I have numerous games at this point which are rendered "unplayable" due to servers which were cut off. The more we see the consoles move in this direction…the more we are going to see of games which end up "lost to history". Sadly, it looks like all console gaming is heading this way...
  7. I have to move my cabinet too….tomorrow will be a perfect day for it (no work!). Thank you in advance!
  8. Can you snap a picture of the multi-pin headers? I just want to be sure where to look when I go poking around later this evening. Thanks!
  9. I am pulling the board tonight. I will report back with the location.
  10. How can I tell? As far as I can remember, none of them are labeled or numbered. I'll have to pull the board out this evening.
  11. I just tried signing up again for the pre-order, and still have not received an address verification email. Is this because I am already signed up for the Opcode newsletter from a while back?
  12. I will have to try that…as soon as I replace the EPROM that I broke a pin off of while cleaning and re-seating it.
  13. My Tempest cabinet has been non-functional for almost a year now…that is one tricky beast to troubleshoot. It's even trickier to keep it up and running, once you fix a problem. I've had mine for 5 or 6 years now…I think it has been working for a total of 2 years (on and off) during that time. I wish you the best of luck with yours.
  14. Do you still have enough of the foam inserts?
  15. Post some pics, and if you have some background as to how you came to own it, folks around here would love to hear the story. After that, the resident experts will add you.
