  1. I dont know...my OutRun might have that beat in the weight category. That thing is beastly heavy for an upright. I thought about selling it once and the guy told me I'd have to pay him to take it! As for the new Congo Bongo cab...man that looks minty fresh!!!! Congrats!
  2. I got one of those off eBay a while back. It is homemade as hell, but it works. I see them now and again for sale, but I have no idea how one is made, nor would I know where to find the socket. I would be happy to post pics if you want to see one. You might try and ask CPUWIZ. He has been very helpful to me since I joined and has answered many similar questions. Best of luck!
  3. I can verify that some cartridges do get "stuck" in the slot. This is because the cartridge collar on the 7800 was made narrower than that of the 2600. Games manufactured by Atari should pose no problem, unless the cartridge shell was warped over time, or improperly casted at time of creation. The problems come with some of the 3rd party games. Konami, Tigervision and M-Network games either won't fit (don't force them!!!) or fit in snugly and then won't come out. Additionally, some other random titles like Tooth Protectors won't even fit! There are only two solutions I know of to fix this. a. Buy a 2600 b. Open up your 7800 and carefully cut slits in the corners of the cartridge collar. This will add the "wiggle room" you need for those games. But this can eventually cause your cartridge collar to have problems (ie: loose fit). That's the best advice I can give ya! I would suggest option A, as I am never in favor of damaging a perfectly good console.
  4. That sounds like a new "2012 prophecy", if ever I heard one! Does anyone know if Nostradamus already had predicted this one? What about the Mayans?? I think you are on to something here revolutionika!
  5. Just received my copy of Master Builder from pseudonym. Great price, excellent communication. Look forward to doing business here again!
  6. It sounds like it may have been an honest mistake (packages mislabeled or something). I only say this because it would be an excessively elaborate scheme to orchestrate something on that level for under $15. Then again...eBay is a den of thieves these days, and if they were to successfully pull that same stunt, over and over, it could add up to a good amount of cash. Honestly though, it sounds like buyer #1 got the goldeneye cart and was happy for your error ... then posted positive feedback and never mentioned it to you. Kind of like a cashier giving someone too much change. An honest person would tell the cashier and return the money, as they would hope for the same treatment if in the same position. Unfortunately, most people would pocket the additional money and never say a word. ...but that's just how it looks to me.
  7. Could there be a homebrew in the works????? I loved Zookeeper back in the arcade days!
  8. Please let us know how it works for you. I would love to have something that works like that!
  9. My only issue with GameGavel is not one that can be "fixed" per-se. When compared to eBay, the traffic is much lower. This is mostly because it caters to hardcore gamers and collectors. Not to mention, Game Gavel ONLY caters to video games. With eBay's wider "net", you get a large amount of traffic to your listing and a much higher chance of selling your games (especially commons and game packages) for decent money. On the other hand, you get a ton of scumbags as well, just looking to rip you off. I think there is a place for Game Gavel, but in order for us to be fair, we can't even compare it to eBay. They are polar opposites in almost every way (aside from both being auction sites).
  10. It's Less than Before! Earlier today, I sent a PM and got no response...
  11. Is that the actual employee dress code for your store? If so...
  12. I saw it was available a few days ago. I think I downloaded the demo, but have yet to try it out. Hmmmm Now might be a good time to do just that! Oooooooh...I didn't know there was a demo! Off to try it now!
  13. http://www.ifc.com/news/2011/04/atari-2600-classic-yars-reveng.php I was just looking for a review of this if anyone has tried it yet!
  14. I noticed you are from NY (Massapequa - I'm guessing NY). I have arcade machines and when I need a repair, I have a guy who is local and reasonable (in northern NJ). I can get you his information if you end up wanting to get the machine fixed. He just fixed a number of problems on my Tempest machine and only charged me $100. Problems were all monitor related. It saved me a ton of headaches. He might charge more because you are an hour away, but he's a really nice guy. I'm sure he could refer you to someone local to you as well. PM me if you want his info.
  15. I have a ton of Commodore stuff in a storage container. I have to dig a bit to get to it, but I will look for it in the AM and get back to you later tomorrow. I have a good amount of C64 / Vic 20 hardware in storage, so if you think of anything else you might need, PM me. I can look for it as well. Hopefully, your cable is in there waiting for you! Thanks! Ben
  16. How many copies? I have worked in the printing business for years and can get you an "AA" discounted price quote! Price always depends on volume tho! BTW: I'm in NJ as well
  17. Just purchased (Cash+ trade) for a Sega Everdrive. The whole experience was very positive. Excellent communication, fast shipping and great packaging. Across the board this was a smooth process! Thanks again!
  18. I have a few + a selection of 2600 / 7800 games available. What is your price range? I can set up a package to meet whatever you are looking for (within reason). Thanks! Ben
