  1. I remember when I was a kid I loved that game "Blip" by Tomy. One of these I have to pick one up and see if it is as fun as I remember!
  2. Sorry to hear about that Ax. ---eBay sucks!!! Although, I have had wonderful transactions, I am currently afraid to sell now using their site. It protects the buyer so much that you can get scammed all day long. That said, if this guy actually sent and actually tracked his package, he wouldn't have to resort to verbal abuse and nonsense like this. He would have proof of mailing it and proof of delivery. For a $10 item, he could have even insured it if he wanted to for almost nothing!!! This seller just sounds like a scammer and a nutbag. I hate to say it, but for $10 worth of grief, I would open a case and let eBay deal with the rest - win or loose. I know it's a matter of principal, more than the $10, but the stress from things like this sometimes just isn't worth it. If you let eBay handle this, it will more than likely end in your favor. I wish you the best of luck!
  3. Call me crazy, but I never heard of this: "I just sold one of these Darth Vaders that I bought in 1984 it came with a 16 turbo graphics cord which was used on Atari Computers up until they started putting them on the Atari 7800 pro system." I don't know what this guy is referring to. To the best of my knowledge, the TG16 didn't even hit the scene till 1989! That and I never heard of NEC sharing hardware with Atari 2600 or 7800. Maybe someone else knows more about this. If so, I would be interested to hear the history. If not, I would lean even more towards this being a hoax.
  4. Massive problems...most of them stem from 1 thing - European servers. This is a common problem. Terrible lag (hence the full clip vs. your opponent's 2 shots) and the constant inability to connect to game servers (takes me on average 25 minutes to join online). The publishers / developers have had a large following in past efforts, primarily in the UK. The game is riddled with problems to begin with, but for us U.S. customers, it is FAR FAR worse. How I would rate the campaign: Graphics: C (just so-so in my opinion) Non-action gameplay: D- (clunky at best) Action sequence gameplay: A++ Storyline: A++ Length of campaign: D- Overall Playability: B How I would rate the online: F- That's my take on Homefront. I'm glad I played it, but could have easily waited for it to go on sale!
  5. Really??? The ones I get from eBay always look like this:
  6. "Up for bid is a box of atari tapes. Sorry no photo." My particular favorite is the "MYSTERY" cart...almost always a parker brothers frogger, qbert or Popeye with no label...but, it is a surprise!!!!
  7. Very good point... though if I were guessing at the seller's reason, I'd lean towards laziness rather than honesty. It looks like they started cleaning and gave up!!! The left side of the deck looks like it is still drying off!!!
  8. Very true...I never looked at it that way! Now, I at least can see a positive side to it. Thanks!
  9. That's a tricky one. I just looked around and couldn't find any info either. I would talent a guess, based on the image, it is probably for a pong or video pinball stand alone console. Just a guess tho. Someone here is bound to know for sure though.
  10. I have been trying to figure this one out....I have seen Atari (and other vintage games) listed on eBay that are so dirty, they look as though they have been buried in the backyard for the past 30 years! I know that items tend to get dusty and what not, but some of these are just ridiculous! I was looking on ePay for a nice (cheap) 6 switcher to add to my collection. Here is what I found: Look at that thing...it looks like a hurricane Katrina survivor (barely). I may just be ranting at this point, but I am dumbfounded by the ability to get something this filthy and have the nerve to NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO CLEAN IT before snapping a pic and putting it up on eBay. That really grinds my gears
  11. To purchase each of those individually, in good condition, would have cost you a lot more. The best part about when you first start out, is that you can pick up cool package deals like that. You get a bunch of stuff you need for a fair price. As time goes on, if you continue to buy "packages" like the one you just got, you will end up with lots of duplicate common carts, controllers and systems. This is not a bad thing, as you can sell or trade them here or thru eBay. I hope you enjoy the games and feel free to drop me a message if you ever have any questions!
  12. Sounds fair to me, as long as it all is in good condition.
  13. Welcome to the wonderful world of Atari collecting!!! Now just prepare yourself for all the hours of endless gaming fun (and an empty wallet ...it can be a bit addictive)!!!
  14. I got my waterworld copy today and it is immaculate! Works great! Thanks again!
  15. I just got my copy of Mean 18 from Spend and it is awesome! Thanks again for a well packaged fast shipment. I look forward to trading with you again! -Ben
  16. Bought Waterworld and Marine Wars at a great price. Arrived almost immediately! I am very happy with the purchases and would definitely do business again! Thank you so much!
  17. Dammm I just went thru the whole thread thinking I was gonna throw down with the winner and the Koala beat me to the punch!!! This game is by far the worst $.99 I ever spent on anything!!!! It is almost unplayable. There just aren't words to describe the suck factor of this game! PS: I'd challenge you to some online multiplayer, but that is broken for this game as well!!!
  18. "I, 2-XL, am very impressed."

  19. 8 out of 15...but 4 of those were lucky guesses. Tough quiz. A lot of games I never even heard of!
  20. I know I can do better, but here is my initial score: 84,100 And here is my lame attempt for the photoshop portion:
  21. So mine is a repro...Gotcha So how can I tell if it is a production (complete) game or just an unfinished proto version?
  22. What got my curiosity going was the T-shaped board...I always thought these were Atari specific, but like I said before, I don't have much info on the subject. Thanks for the pic!
  23. That sounds good to me! Who sets up the games, or can anyone start a HSC thread?
  24. Does my purchase come with an honorary membership to the AtariAge Wine Snob Club???
