Buy me an LTO and I'll give you my CC3. :-)
It is in Thailand so I'd have to wait a few months more.
I will take you up on that for sure!

I'm considering selling my Cuttle Cart....I bought this from Roger (aka Psycho Stormtrooper) years ago fully loaded with games! I have a box for it also. Any offers welcomed, I DO want a good sum for it, so may list on eBay if I have no offers that are high enough....OR may not sell.......I'm torn, sorry...lol...
PM me with any offer...
Thanks!
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a price in mind? It sounds like you at least have a ballpark in mind. The collector in me would be interested in this (regardless of the LTO), but it really all depends on what you think is a fair number. I would be interested to hear what your "ballpark" dollar figure is.

-
I would think eventually, yes, the price will go up again. However, I'm not buying one so it makes no difference.
I plan on buying two of them, so I can make them into a matching set of earrings!

Didn't air raid once go for $40,000 or something? I just don't get it..
CIB, it went for $20K +
-
So what? I don't understand why so many people on this forum try to make it their business
when someone they don't know in the slightest is selling something to try and make a buck
just cause it's atari related. I mean do you track down all the car sales on ebay and post
about them on a car forum too? Or perhaps vintage lamps on a vintage lamps forum?
It's not your stuff and has nothing to do with you so just give it up.
At this point, it is safe to say that Air Raid is more of an investment than a game…and a bad investment at that. Consider this:
-The ROM is readily available for emulation
-Reproduction carts are readily available for $20 or less
-The gameplay is rather horrible
-The loose cart sells regularly over $1200 and upwards of $2000 (and the market price has completely flattened out)
I guess that if you feel the need to own a "holy grail", then have at it…from what I have seen though, this particular game flips from one person to another more than most. It's like the hot-potato of the Atari 2600 scene. I would rather have a half decent game like Malagai, and it cost me a hell of a lot less…considering it is also an R10. Also, with Malagai, you rarely see them on eBay (aside from the one which has been sitting forever with a high BIN).
I have to wonder…with all of the packing and shipping back and forth of this game, how long will it be before the elements and mishandling of these carts leaves them as nothing but a pretty shell. I mean, bit rot is going to get the best of these things eventually anyhow…all of the excessively hot postal trucks and games of "postal football" with these packages can't be helping matters.

I'd love to hear some reviews/comments:
Just sitting on the shelf?
Thumbs up/down?
Scale from 1 to 10?
Scale from negative 5 to positive 5? (I like this scale)
Are the graphics and sounds too cheesy, old-school, generic? Is the black background preferred, or boring?
How about high scores on "Young Luke (normal)" mode? Anyone beat my 138164 (emulator) score from post #1?
Box and manual? Have you started bugging J-F and Toby yet?
I do have more ready to mail out, so if you missed out so far, feel free to send me a PM.
As soon as mine arrives, I will be happy to write a review! (complete with Shatner photos!)

I don't want to fight with you, you know much more about poo-poo than me.
I'm not so sure about that! You certainly sounded:
A.) somewhat aggressive
B.) like you will passionately defend your knowledge of all things fecal.

-
Trust me, I know my shit.
I just do happen to know my "Shit" as well. I'm sure most here can attest to that.
Ok guys...you can fight it out over who has better knowledge about poo-poo. I still stand by my earlier statement...$50.00 at most.

A boxed Sub Commander is no where near $175. You might get over $100 in a New in box. The last true auction on a Ebay fetched $39
Agreed. I would probably not pay over $50 for it myself…but, then again, I don't really like typical eBay prices for CIB games. If you hunt for long enough, you will find most games at a semi-reasonable price. This particular title is unusual for sure…not what I would call "rare" though.

Pop the backs off and see if the CRT has good supports inside for laying flat. If you can transport them in the normal position, you are better off though.
Agreed. The biggest concern here, usually stems from the monitor being improperly secured in the mounting brackets. The fly-back neck on the end of the monitor is very susceptible to damage.
Also, the rear door to the cabinet needs to be checked. If it is not secured properly, they can sometimes tilt into the machine or fall inside completely when you attempt to lay it down. I have a Tempest cabinet that is just like that. The wooden rear door is broken, so it can (and did) fall inside the cabinet. I luckily didn't do any permanent damage, but it did take me a while to try and get it out of the machine when I got it home.
One last thing…the monitor on the asteroids machine is a vector monitor. XY monitors like that are fairly touchy…you want to make sure to not bang it around too much during transport. Just take it really slow moving it in and out of the vehicle, and avoid potholes when driving if possible.

I can't believe I forgot to leave feedback for FND!!! I also purchased a copy of Malaga -30 yr anniversary edition. What an amazing project! The level of detail put in on this is beyond any other homebrew project I have seen previously. It is truly a treasured piece in my collection!

It all started with a witty reply. I told my friend Kefka to join AA and introduce himself. All i did was come up with a funny but cool reply and it snowballed from there.
Even though i like to take credit for starting it, it was really Rev and Pimpmaul who did the most with it. Pimpmaul made the brotherhood logo's which are so epic. And we all know what Rev has done. Buttons, Websites, Bea Arthur, Cmart....

Here it is. This is historical and should be preserved for many generations to come.

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/191282-hello-from-lexington-ky/
I was never invited, nor formally inducted into any of the brotherhoods. So, rather than feel bad about it, I decided to make my own society…
I present to you:
THE SHATNER BROTHERHOOD!!!!!
So far, the membership roster includes:
1.) me
2.) shat (though, I don't think he is aware of it)
3.) hello kitty
Send me a PM if you want to apply for membership….but, I must warn you…the induction ceremony is brutal!!!

A short clip of a homebrew creator after selling all 300 CIB copies of his most recent game. Absolutely disgusting.
You might want to photoshop that image, and change all the gold coins to a single mound of pennies. Consider [email protected] $60 per copy, it amounts to $18,000 before:
- coding time
- material costs (gatefold box, PCB, cart shell, overlays and manual)
- physical production cost (creation of all of the above)
- creation of artwork for box, manual and overlays (yep...artists get paid sometimes)
- hand assembly (putting together each CIB game from all of the above)
- packing and shipping 300 packages
- Taxes / PayPal fees
So...what size pile of cash do you actually think would be left to dive into? My guess...they would end up smashing their head on the cold concrete floor.

As usual Benny comes up with the most creative post.

It's like a gift…it's like I can't control it.

I VOTE C-MART FOR PRESIDENT, AND REV AS HIS SECRETARY OF INTELLIVISION STATE. ALL IN FAVOR . SAY AYE
NAYE!!!!
If Rev was C-Mart's secretary, he would spend all of his time trying to get C-Mart to chase him around the presidential desk, dressed up as Bea Arthur! Can you say Monica Revolewinski???

e passed by the local thrift store, and I always check by the back door because they put stuff they can't sell there. It's usually junk, but every now and then they put something interesting out. Today, it was an older HP computer. Not really cool, but I cracked the case and swiped a floppy drive and card reader. Call me a vulture.
I also noticed an 80gb IDE hard drive. I figure, could be useful to have another spare kicking around for my old builds.
Turns out, whoever owned this machine before I took the hard drive left every last shred of their existence on it. Thousands of personal photos, financial documents, budgets, contact lists, internet history, music, home movies, if it could go on a computer it was here.
I sighed and shook my head.
I didn't open the documents marked as budgets, contact lists, etc. Not my business.
I wiped the drive clean and it'll go into my box of spare computer parts.
But I wonder if someone other than myself would have gotten this, what they could have done with the information on it. Everything about this fellow is here, and he just gave it to the thrift shop.
It's a good reminder to dispose of old hard drives with extreme prejudice! Open them up, kill the platters, and be done with it. You never know who may find it.
Just a guess, but the computer may have been:
- stolen and sold to the thrift store by thieves
- stolen and dumped at the thrift store by thieves (when they realized it was worth very little)
- donated after the passing of a family member
- bulk home clean out (this happens a lot these days with foreclosures on the rise)
It could also be someone who just has no clue what the heck they are doing on a computer (i.e.: my parents generation). That said, I really don't think something like that could possibly be intentional in this day and age. Every day on the news, they are talking about data breaches and how important it is to protect yourself from identity theft…it seems that if you are tech savvy enough to keep your budgets on a computer, you would know how to wipe the disk. Very odd indeed!
-
No you wouldn't. It's *very* rare that stuff in the AA store is way overpriced. I don't see you as a profiteer. I see you as someone who has a love for the hobby and community over money.
On average, it is $50 for a boxed homebrew in the AA store. The game being discussed here is $60, and it comes with a gatefold box, manual and overlays. I am not sure how that could ever be misconstrued as "overpriced". IMHO, it has become evident that the OP is and was only looking for a free ROM….which he will be able to get for free once the game is released.

I think this poll is flawed. It omits the options:
Absolutely!
Positively!
Without a doubt!
and the weasel answer:
What's a cmart? If I don't know what it is, it must be bad, so get rid of it!

The poll also forgot the following options:
- no, he should not be banned because it is all Shatner's fault!
- no, he should not be banned because it is all Bea Arthur's fault!
- no, he should not be banned because it is all Bacon's fault!
- no, he should not be banned because it is all Canada's fault!
If Voltron would just add the above options, I would gladly vote!

This is excellent news! I'm surprised Gamester81 said nothing about that when it was asked a few days ago. What exactly is his role besides posting it on YouTube? Anyways, regardless that is very good of you to make it free!
So, I see that the crux of your problem is that you only like games when they are free of charge. That said, I would have to guess that you have many things "piss you off" on a daily basis in life. I certainly don't work for free…I can't see why homebrewers should be any different.

I'm casting my stone for Kevincall. I have no problem with his recent rash of polls and posts. If you don't like it, you don't have to read or respond. While I would have designed the polls differently, he turned me on to Jaguar Corner and a new developer to watch out for. I appreciate his enthusiasm. Hell, I even bought a copy of the infamous Jaguar issue of Next Generation from him a while back. You keep rockin' Kevin!
^^ 100% agree ! ^^
I would also like to add one thought to those who have been bagging on kevincal's posting/polling choices….
For just a moment, please put yourself into his shoes. How would you feel if you visited AtariAge one day, and folks were running a thread which specifically targeted you? Personally, it would make me feel pretty shitty. Regardless of the anonymity which the internet provides…regardless of the fact that most of you are, and always will be strangers to me…regardless of the fact that none of what we do here has much bearing on our day to day lives. Regardless of all of that, it would still suck…pretty badly. This forum is my way of unwinding. It is also my home away from home, without having to leave the house (if that makes any sense
).I wish folks would think about such things, if only just for a moment, prior to creating threads like this. In the greater scheme of things, what exactly is the point to this kind of thread? To hurt someone's feelings? To make them go away? If that is the case, then I would say that some of you have far more idle time than kevincal. At least his polls don't aim to single anyone out, nor do they hurt anyone's feelings. They just happen to not be your cup of tea…such is life.
Guys and gals…this isn't high school anymore. We are all entitled to carve out our own space here…and that means ALL of us. And now, a message from our
sponsorsShatner...PS: just in case anyone was wondering, the above message from Shatner is directed at ALL of us. This is a forum dedicated to vintage video game systems…we aren't curing Cancer here folks.

Paddle Party - 20 Copies Limited Run
in Intellivision / Aquarius
Posted
I would certainly buy a copy. Let me know if you go ahead with this run.
