  1. I've been working on several games all at once here lately: 1.) I am working thru the Wolfenstein campaign which is not bad (I really didn't have my hopes up on that one), but not the most amazing thing I've ever played either. 2.) Also working on Splinter Cell Conviction, which is a blast. 3.) I was having a really good time with Fallout New Vegas, but the DLC has me stuck in a holding pattern (the game itself was so much better left alone). 4.) Operation Flashpoint: dragon rising. This might be the most realistic FPS I have ever played. Lots of fun for $10!!! I bought this one because I heard that it was programmed by some of the same people who are involved with the upcoming Homefront game. I am REALLY looking forward to that one! That is my next purchase for sure. 5.) Crysis 2 demo. Very cool game, but it seems like it is still loaded with bugs and seems somewhat un-finished. I hope they will fix that prior to release. I will wait for reviews on that one before I plunk down any cash.
  2. Err. what is it? Surely not this -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minix -- ?? i think it is Just saw this one on ebay with a BIN price of $20 bucks: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 170610810463 Not sure you are gonna get $100 for it...sorry for the bad news. Might just want to hold on to it and eBay it when there aren't any others listed. You may find someone then who wants it and is willing to pay more. Could just be a low priced fluke on eBay. I personally don't really know what the going rate is for such a program. Best of luck!
  3. That would greatly depend on the condition of the items. Also, are they in working condition? Do they include boxes for anything? Etc.
  4. I was 5 yrs old when I got my first Atari 2600, bur prior to that I had a Telstar Ranger system prior to that I got in 77'. I thought that Telstar was the shiznit..then I found my true love....2600 Nirvana.
  5. There are some older threads about the differences. Here is one about the 1984 earlier models... http://www.atariage....812-1984-7800s/ There are a much smaller number of these earlier models out there, they were made in Texas , and they also tend to be fully socketed on the motherboard. It took me a while to find one, so they hold more value to me. I think some of the back history on the 7800 is pretty interesting stuff. Thanks for the info. I still want to figure out exactly what that weird serial # I have on one of my consoles means (the pic I posted earlier - X 210 011292)
  6. Are any of these systems serial #'s more coveted than others? If so, what is the difference between them?
  7. Here is a plain jane text list of everything that I know of. I had hoped to lay this out in html format or something nicer looking, but haven't had a chance yet! Without a doubt, pickup an AtariMax Ultimate SD Cart! This might be a NOOB question, but what does DP and YURK mean on this list? DP refers to Digital Press and YURK refers to Yurkie, a member here on AA. Yurkie did up a domestic releases list with his thoughts/experience rarity-wise, which I use as my checklist. NIAD has just listed both opinions on rarity. Very cool doc by the way! Thank you for the explanation. That makes complete sense. It will help me tremendously as I start to increase my Coleco collection. Digital Press is less than 10 minutes from my house, so iv'e always just used them as my resource for collecting questions.

  9. Yep, which will be tomorrow. Thank you for the reply CPU. I would definitely like to be at the top of the list for the next batch. I'm bummed that I will have to wait, but I completely understand your position. If you would like the pre-payment early, in order to help offset the production cost, just let me know. Thanks again! Sincerely, Benny
  10. It looks to be made in China, and I assume it does not have the expansion interface. This one might be after the "A3" series. I'll add it in the list at the end unless someone knows better. Woo Hoo!!!! I have something unique...at least for this moment. I shall cherish it!!!!! btw...no expansion unit
  11. Yes, I will add to the first post, if people do not want their handle posted I'll use XXXX. I would love a copy of this, but you mentioned you were not interested in selling to new members. I would be happy to pay with PayPal or any other suitable method in advance. Just let me know if there is any way I can get a copy. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, Ben
  12. Welcome, glad you posted. "1292 EP" Nice, low El Paso #- cool! Hello all! I am new to the forums, but a long time collector / player of all that is Atari. When I saw this post, I decided to check my serial numbers and came across an oddball. Help me out with this one:

    (FOUND)

This one is a hard find; I do not think it will be a "less expensive one" to find It does not come up for sale very often. What are you looking to pay for it? Cheers, FB I'm not sure what it is worth, considering it doesn't come up on eBay much. For some reason though, the rarity guide has it pegged at an R6. Any idea what an original would cost me? -Benny
  14. How about a small mouse inside Mouse Trap?

    (FOUND)

Hello everybody. I'm currently looking to fill in the less expensive gaps in my collection and I was hoping that someone has an extra loose copy of Espial for the 2600. Let me know if you have one and what you are looking to sell it for. I have a ton of 2600 stuff, so a trade is possible if you are looking for something specific I have. FOUND IT!!!!!! Thanks! Benny
  16. I was certain it was a brownie... certain... fairly certain... I hope... Man...now I won't sleep tonight either... anybody wanna buy a cleaned, "poop free" Smurfs cartridge...CHEAP!
  17. What is the strangest thing you found when cleaning an old game cartridge, system or etc? I only ask because I just got a lot of 2600 carts off of eBay and they were the dirtiest bunch of games I ever saw. One by one I cleaned them with my trusty Qtips, until I came to the Smurfs cart. In the opening of the cartridge, I literally found a dried, large hunk of chocolate brownie! When I say large, I mean it blocked more than half of the opening and was stuffed down to the base of the exposed PCB. I didn't sleep well last night trying to figure out exactly how that huge chunk of brownie got there. More importantly, how could the guy on eBay who sold it to me sleep well knowing he listed these games as "CLEANED AND TESTED"? He must of tested that one in his trusty betty crocker oven! Can anyone top that one? Please share!
  18. I have a loose Mario Bros. cart w/ manual in fair condition. Game is cleaned, tested and works properly. Just some fading to the labels but they are intact and not peeling. Let me know what you consider to be a fair price. I can send pics if interested. I have some carts I would be willing to trade for if you have duplicates that I need in your collection. Let me know. Thanks! Benny.
  19. I was unfortunately scammed by someone on ebay and purchased a whole bunch of PAL carts thinking they were NTSC. Let me know what you are willing to pay for the lot+shipping. I have no idea how to do this transaction, as I am used to using ebay. We can work out the arrangements if you are interested. Here is what I have: LOOSE CARTS - Breakout Galaxian Moon Patrol x2 Star Wars The Arcade Game Pitfall II Sorcerer's Apprentice Pole Position Pac Man Battlezone Congo Bongo Pigs In Space Road Runner Space Invaders BOXED GAMES Combat Space Invaders Solaris (Red Label IN A GENERIC BOX MARKED HOT SHOTS GAMES) All games are tested and work. They are in decent shape save for a few of them being faded. I have no idea of the value for PAL games but I know some of them are hard to come by. Let me know if you are interested. I can send you pics if you wish to see the condition. Thanks! Benny
  20. Hmm...maybe I'll have to do that. I read your comment at lunch, so I came home after work and played again. This time, I used one of my original carts. I didn't give up any hits this time, so I got the perfect game. Oh yeah, somehow I scored 29 runs! If you submit that to Twin Galaxies, Billy Mitchell might just show up at your house and pick a fight! He may even send over some of his goons to take apart your atari and make sure no one tampered with the board set!
