I think we really need to some definate dates sorted as my calendar is becoming full.... and a location. RE: the London location I was hoping for, everything looked fine until I said Sunday, the American Church don't rent halls/rooms on a sunday. Something to do with an active church....(personally I thought they would be in Church, not the Church Hall or rooms ) I am still looking.... I am willing to help somewhat with costs if we funds upfront, but we do need somewhere. RE Dates: Presuming we still want June I CANNOT manage the 21/22 or 27/28...family business.Other dates in June and July OK. I would suggest a quorum (max 4) under GAZTE leadership start actively arrangeing and delegating. Otherwise we won't have a Jagfest UK. Please let me know your thoughts....

Speaking as a " price gouger", you try finding a shrinkwrapped AvP in a warehouse or from another dealer without paying the odds. The price on my site reflects this.. if you can find me original shrink wrapped versions let me know please. AvP is only RARE in that brand new copies are getting differcult to get hold of. Real RARE games inc Aircars, Primal Rage cart/CD there are a couple more, which I can't remember at moment

-but the Keychange dealer continues to insist that professional software should cost more. well professional software does cost more, no matter what system. -Yeah, if it's still being upgraded and supported. good point, and one in the Atari scene that is rapidly becoming redundant. A lot of software is not being supported because software houses move on to other platforms where they can make a profit. - $250 is what it cost during the last days of Atari when it still was being recognized by Steinberg! 250$ ??? morelike 400 dollars when Steinberg were in the biz -That's quite a bit of profit for the dealer if you ask me. and what did the dealer pay for the software, he should maybe make a loss in your opinion? -And the latest versions of Cubase, and even Cubasis (the stripped down version of Cubase) for the PC/Mac are light years ahead of the abandoned ST version. It's called development , and funnily enough one of the reasons Steinberg left the Atari market after putting in a lot of resources in to it was the piracy of earlier versions... even today I am still asked if I can supply a cracked version of their software -Yet Cubasis is about $80. I think a fair price for Cubase for the ST is $100 (basically the cost to print the thick manual + building the dongle + small profit). Again you are making a erroneous point, comapring to a supported platform. How do know what Keyexchange paid for the software, demand for a product sets the price. As a point of fact if these were the same software I was offered some time ago then 100$ would'nt even pay the carriage. You get what you pay for. I agree that it seems that some software seems expensive but if you want it you have to but it, of course I know most programs are now cracked which is why in your end it's your choice. You want Cubasis, get a PC. This message wan't meant as a flame or attack on some peoples views but a quick explanation on why the few Atari dealers are still in business... not because we have made massive profits on software but because most Atari dealers stay in business as a hobby which has to pay for it self.. ie a small profit.
