  1. It does look awesome! But I have seen 2 now that look completely different The one on klov I actually like better with the wood-grain (could be my atari love shining through ) So far what I know for sure: 1. I have the wrong bezel, Mine is for scramble. 2. 2 player mode does not work at all. Seems like it detects the buttons hooked up to the board. Only reads 2 buttons instead of 4 (even though I see no need for 4 buttons at all with only one joystick) 3. Control board artwork is a generic SNK one 4. Coin mechanism is most likely dead 5. Needs a battery? for saving high scores (I hope It needs a battery, I want the high scores to save) 6. I am determined to make it look good, even if that means making up how I want to make it look (if I can't find or reproduce the proper artwork) I'm assuming the 2 player issue can be fixed buy running a second set of wires to use the same buttons for player one and player two. I'll find out tomorrow thanks to a 4 day weekend
  2. I just found one on ebay that looks like its all original eBay Auction -- Item Number: 110673022746
  3. I don't recall anything like that to sign up for the forums it says it started about 2 weeks ago due to spammers
  4. Anybody a member over at arcade-museum? Apparently you have to make a donation or be recommended by an existing member. I will be more than happy to make a donation if I am able to get help of some form. But oddly enough on a lot of forums members hate "noobz" Hopefully its like AA over there and not be rude about a new member asking questions.
  5. Just a big old pile of random Sh*t glued together. he's a real "Artist"
  6. just sent the seller a question "If I bought this is there anyway to un-glue the garbage from the top of that Atari? And if I did would it play or is it gutted?"
  7. Some decent games, not Great sports if thats what you mean. The way I see it commons are common for a reason (usually pretty good games) I've never owned either of these systems before (played SNES a bit as a kid) so i'm not sure 100% where to start.
  8. Needs some SMS & SNES Games!

  9. Just got a Sega Master System and a Super Nintendo yesterday, but have no games Anybody got some commons/doubles they wanna sell off or trade for cheap? Don't have a ton for trades I have: Super mario bros 3 (nes), Chuck norris/Artillrty duel Double ender (2600), Lost luggage (2600), a Tandy Alien Chase tabletop, some wicked commons for the 2600, or a few Sega Genesis Model 1 Consoles
  10. I wish I understood! I know virtually nothing about arcades other then; Funner then the console version usually, that there is a lot more to worry about inside, and that I know almost nothing about them I need to learn the ways of the mysterious arcade..I need to conquer Vulgus. But seriously there is a lot I don't know about them. like all the terms/parts/ect I am hoping this project will teach me a lot about it because so far I really do like owning my own. It's awesome and now I want to own more of them. But I am gonna be good and finish what I have started with this Vulgus
  11. According to the KLOV: "Capcom, the Vulgus maker, released 208 machines in our database under this trade name, starting in 1984." I would say that it is pretty uncommon. Regardless, you should be able to get it up and working properly and looking very nice in no time. As for artwork, if you are going to find it anywhere, it would be in the arcade forums at arcade-museums.com. It sounds like a fun restoration project for the right person. You should have a blast!!! I already am having a blast!! Now time for me to go see a man about a sega master system!
  12. If you haven't yet, you can sign up over at arcade-museum.com forums and ask someone to take pics of their machine. I wonder if the game shares any similarities with a 1942 machine. Both were supposedly made the same year, and may have similar parts if you need any. Good Thinking! I read online somewhere that they were very similar but Vulgus came out first. I'll have to sign up over there and hope someone is willing to snap me a few pictures

Im sick of looking at these and would rather sell them cheap as hell then resort to ebay! *Edit* This post was missing something... Yeah Buddy! Thats better
  17. Thanks! I wish there was more info about Vulgus floating around online. I still have yet to find more pictures of the artwork/bezel. I didn't think the game would be that, I guess rare? Seems like there isn't to many around
  18. I'll have to take a look on my day off. From the bits I found online some games use rechargeable NiMh AA's I'm hoping there is a way to make it save high scores. I didn't notice a battery holder coming off the board when I had it out to reset the dip switches. But It was very clean and rust free. So if there was batteries the haven't leaked. If there is no batteries is there a way to add them so the machine will keep high scores? for some reason it really bothers me having all 5 slots be the default ones set by the machine, I don't know why
  19. Spent some time playing yesterday and got a high score But it didn't save I assume there is some kind of battery backup but the insides are still nasty and full of spiderwebs and a ton of dust. Thus I couldn't find it in the short time I could tolerate working inside the cab Can anybody give me a clue as to what i'm looking for inside the cab to fix the high scores? And I apologize if it seems like i'm asking a lot of dumb/easy questions. I'm very new to arcade cabs and I really don't want to screw something because I didn't ask or have some clue what I was doing.
  20. 4 day weekend coming up...4 days of Vulgus lovin, can't wait!

  21. I'm sure someone could forward the package to you if you paid the extra shipping... I know I would
  22. @bennybingo Thank you so much for your help she is up and running. The dip switches were all kinds of messed up. Set to settings that weren't listed/Don't Exist If we're ever in the same place at the same time I owe you a beer! Now, onto being glued to the CRT for the nest 137hrs
  23. Yes, go for it. Grab lots of pictures of the renovation as it progresses. I already started taking pictures yesterday of me trying to even get it home lol Arcade+coupe=WTF!
  24. Check this link on KLOV http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=10382 I'm hoping it will let me go free play, if not I will most likely rig something temporarily until I can get a new coin setup. I had found that site a little while ago. But that all I found with side art at all, I can't even find a better picture of it. But I do like that wood-grain look a lot Also while I caught you on here, as I work on this I was going to start working on a write up for retrocade as I go. All in all, how I got the arcade and a lot of circumstances surrounding it make for a very amusing story I think. Of course along with my write-up on the repair and renovation of the machine as well. Lemme know what you think!
