I've moved away from automatic bill pay to electronic bill pay via my credit union. Just a few clicks from a central site to issue the payment, and it automatically categorizes it within my spending as well.

just for the cleaning lady.

most of my expenses go on a nice credit card which pays me back every time I use it.

I do online bill pay manually on the site of the bill where i don't get hit with a service fee. I'm doing them a service paying online instead of mailing a check, they should be issuing me a service CREDIT. Yet Ameren always wants to hit me with a $1.95 convenience fee. Eat turds!
