Study Hall looks like fun. I'll have to look into picking that up.

Hi Baby Climber. My favorite nes game is Contra. I like space invaders on Atari also.
-
I was shocked to here you talk about that. That would have been really cool. I wish I could of seen that.

I don't think the standard windows defrag will even know there is ps2 hard drive connected.
When installing games, make sure you check the HDLoader compatibility chart. There are a lot of games that don't work with HDLoader. You may need to also set a certain set of modes to make the game work.

it would be pretty cool to store my ps2 isos on my home server and then have the ps2 just grab them from there. All of my emulator roms and isos are there.
-
I always use WinHiip to copy retail games to the HDD. It is a litle annoying to pop the drive out each time. I wait until I have a certain number of games to move over before poping the drive again.
-
Why not just use the hard drive image I posted a few pages back? You don't need a memory card for that.

I've been reading about all the new updates to the dashboard in the xbox one and thinking the interface is getting just too complex. Besides all the social media, tv tuning, advertising, DLC and game library, you can tweak the interface for transparencies and other stuff. This thing is now a complete desktop computer! Is all this stuff really necessary?
Back in the old days there was no crazy OS to run the games on. The most complex we got was a new pause button and number keypad on the controller and even that was pushing it!

Impressive! Most impressive.

Looking at the ones on my drive, I don't think a generic one will fit. There are some differences.
-
Has anyone gotten to play this yet?

-
True, you don't get rails with the network adapter. You do get them with Final Fantasy online.
-
I'm still waiting for the pending release of Microsoft Word 2013 for the Atari ST.
-
If I remember correctly there was a version of Lunar Lander that was published in ANALOG computing. You would need a flash cart to play it unless you type the code in yourself and save to disk drive.
-
Does the type in games that ANALOG and Antic published count?

I don't see any reason to delete anything in the image. It's not like your hurting for storage space and the entire image only takes about 10gb. I believe there are only seven utilities on the image anyway. If you need to you can remove things once the image is created by using winHIIP. I would get rid of SMS player and POPs emulators.
Preinstalled Applications:- uLaunchELF Version 4.42_Evil- Open PS2 Loader Version 0.9.1 + GMS 0.37- HD Loader Version 0.8c 48Bit (I'm not sure if its 48bit or 28bit, if its not 48bit, you can add it.)- ESR beta r9b (GUI)- GS Mode Selector Version 0.37- SMS Player Version 2.9- Memory Card Annihilator Version 2.0- Sony PlayStation: POPS Emulator (Size set to 768mb, so you can one game to it. Note: I added a 30mb game to it.)- Gradius Gaiden (POPS Emulator)- Free McBoot Installer (Does not work.. ok it does work, it just can't see all the files needed.) -
Greg is right, it will copy the disc to the HDD in about 2-3 minutes. I find that actually works better than downloading an iso and copying it over. I had a Jax & Daxter iso that wouldn't work correctly on the hdd. I copied it from my disc instead and it works great. Probably a bad iso.

So with that adapter listed earlier I can read the PS2 hard drive with my PC using a USB port? I assume that's how most people get games onto their HD's?
yup. You use WinHIIP to read the HDD and load images on the drive.
-
Yeah I think I'll stick with the largest IDE drive I can get for a reasonable price.
If I were you I would just get the SATA adapter for $60 and the 2TB for $80 and let the downloading begin.
You can however get the IDE to SATA Hdd adapter for about $10. But you need to be careful to make sure the network interface still connects to the ps2. You would need to go with a laptop HDD instead otherwise it will never fit inside. I've seen people that sell those modified adapters.

I am sure what is meant is a mechanical HD... and you can find them under $100. Something like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148834
No idea if that would work or not. Just an example.
You beat me to that one. It's a pretty good deal. I have that one in my home server
-
That's not true. The current HD image will read up to 2TB.
-
You could buy the SATA Network adapter card for the PS2 and put in 2TB HDD for about $100.

The following Ebay seller is a source of "quality" pre-labeled blank discs that you can buy and burn your 3DO (and Sega CD) game data to:
The obvious downside to this is that the authenticity of disc only copies of certain 3DO and Sega CD games is now open to doubt, and that the prices for boxed and/or complete copies will likely rise as they do have a better chance of being authentic.
I've never thought to print color directly on the CD. I usually do the lightscribe labeling. Looks like a color CD printer is pretty expensive. $400+
