    I've been working on this for a while. I've finally gotten to a point were I can put the controls on it. I need to finish the box for the PC. It will be a bigger version of an x-arcade. There will be an hdmi port and power supply plug on the back. I'm still looking for a low powered PC mother board. The buttons, track ball and Tron stick all light up. I added el wire to make the board glow. There is a piece of plexiglass over it. I don't like the feel of the red joystick. I need a different one. Building one of these things is harder than it seemed. It's a work in progress.

    I just hate the price tag and the fact it's not readily available and they want prepayment. The XM project taught me to never give anyone money unless the item is in hand and being shipped. It's too risky for the price. The regular upscaler you brought up would seem to work or I can just leave the Jaguar/Saturn alone with the s-video. I just don't understand the condescending behavior of some people on this thread. You think they were personally losing money on my decision. Besides, I don't see the argument being strong enough to spend that kind of money and jump through those kind of hoops to get perfection. Hell, the tv it will connect to isn't all that great.

    The point is to get off component, composite and s-video and use a modern TV. I will never buy a CRT from a thrift store to play games on. Everything must go to HDMI ultimately. But I also don't want to buy a $400 board made by one guy in Poland after getting on his waiting list for years and prepaying for it.

    So if those SCART to HDMI converters are garbage, what do you use that isn't hundreds of dollars? That is all I see. I'm not buying some $300 homemade thing that is hard to come by. I'm think $40 is pushing it for a decent picture out of two systems.

    I'm working on getting rid of my composite connections to my tv for all of my old systems. Short of modifying all of them for built in HDMI, what are the pros/cons of going SCART for them? I'm trying it out with my Jaguar and Saturn. Is there anything special about the N64/SNES/GC that I should know. I'm on the waiting list for the GC to HDMI adaptor when 3.0 is released.

    What is the best way to plug a Saturn into HDMI? Is it worth getting a SCART cable and SCART to HDMI converter box? Is there a special SCART cable to use on a NTSC model 2 Saturn?

      I can't believe I'm already a week or so from starting classes this fall! It was such a busy summer that I've had no downtime at all, and now I've got four classes to prep, two of which I'm teaching for the first time. Busy days ahead!

    Gosh, I hope Opcode isn't printing new boxes and manuals just to remove the word Colecovision from it. Seems like a huge expense. Why not just put a piece of black tape over the word? A collector could easily peal the tape away after they have it. I'm sure there is more to it than that.
