I picked up Nintendo 64 at a Goodwill for $10. I need a power supply and controller if anyone has a spare.

Not a fan of people that can't say a sentence without dropping constant f-bombs. I hear there are drugs to counter Tourette's syndrome.

Seems to me they would just send a patch down to the machines to turn back on the machine. If it interrupts service, I'm sure they will adjust the system accordingly. It's not like these rules are in ROM somewhere requiring a hardware modification. It's just a windows 8 computer accepting updates and storing it on its hard drive.

You assume too much. Microsoft wants to be like Apple. Apple has always said "Their way or the highway." That is exactly what they are going to tell you. It's the third party game makers that better not cross the like as far as used games/DRM is concerned. They are the ones that will lose money if they add that to their games. Just because it is possible to do doesn't mean the game developers will do it.

I used that picture as my avatar for a while. Little kids will play with anything that is fun and will do well at it. Teenagers are too smug to play anything that isn't a fps with hd graphics. They typically suck at simpler games like the ones we enjoy. It was great to see my six year old beat the thirteen year old at Freeway. They are amazed on how fast my Atari boots up!

It just means the camera on the ps4 will never be used while the Kinect will be used more often since its standard equipment. You still got to compare Apples to Apples. Both have cameras available therefore you have to factor that into the final cost. Weather you want the camera or not is a different story. Personally I wish Microsoft would make the camera optional like it is now and drop the price $150 like the 360 bundles are now but then one would ever develop for it. Besides the last time I looked the Wii U still used the same Wii controllers and that tablet-thing had motion control all over it. They all still think motion control is a big thing. Personally, I believe the best games need only one button.

First off it's not $100 difference in price. It's only $40 difference. The PS4 camera is NOT included and will cost $60 more making the equivalent system (including the kinect and ps4 camera) $500 and $460 respectively. So stop with the $100 price difference shit!

Considering the XBox has a loyal following much like Apple does, do you think the DRM debate will really push people away from the xbox one? I mean these are people that bought mulitple xbox 360 when they kept getting hit by the RROD. The price of these machines are only $40 apart. (add $60 PS camera). Both prices are not attractive to non-hardcore gamers. Sony doesn't offer the same range of media services and there is no TV integration capabilities. These markets are much bigger than the market for console video game players.

So how hard would it be for Microsoft to send us a new dashboard for the 360 that uses the same DRM rules as the XBox One? It kind of makes sense that will eventually happen. Now your 360 collection is toast.
