So I guess we know the reason why EA will not be making games for the Wii U. Nintendo will not go with the new DRM policy. My bet is PS4 will have the same restrictions as the XBoxOne. Of course, why stop there? Steam will have to abide to this new policy too if they want something to sell. I think Nintendo is happy enough with their own inhouse IPs to not really care what the outside world does. They will just wait it out until after the second video game crash of 2015 and start over like they did with the NES.

I remember my mom bought me a jar of Mt. Saint Helens ash. It was a lot of fun to play with. We would mix it with water and make ash bombs and throw it at each other. That stuff got all over the house!

I agree. I would give it a B rather than a C-. I think Raiders of the Lost Ark and Superman are a lot harder to play if you never read the manual.

E.T. isn't bad. It's actually very creative and cutting edge for its time. It just needed a few minor tweaks to its controls that I think someone around here already did. Play that version instead if the original is too hard for you. As a kid, I use to do speed runs of that game and make up other games like give Elliott the most candy before dieing in his house. It's not a hard game and does make sense. Now the Sword Quest series is BAD....

Of course your basing all of this on a rumor and not an official published price list from Microsoft. For all you know, Nintendo will follow suit if Microsoft and Sony go through with this rumor. Nintendo/Sony's executives are just a little smarter than that doofus at Microsoft. E3 comes in less than three weeks. We'll see what they say then.

I'm considering upgrading my 7800 to use composite video. Is the picture quality worth it? Is it an easy thing to install? Does anyone here install the conversion kit?

I believe there is always ways around DRM. It's been cracked on DVDs and blu-rays why can't it be cracked on XBox1 and PS4? I'm sure someone will come up with a hardware patch that will allow us to play the phyiscal media of these games without the phone home aspect. Every other console has some kind of mod that allows CDRs and region unlocking. Why can't that happen here?

Right now I don't need any of the home theater/media streaming/internet apps since I can do that with my existing setups. I don't think I would use the XBox One for those purposes anyway. It would be just for games only. I'm sure the games for the ps4 and xbox one will have great graphics but we are getting along fine with the 360 and wii. In fact, we probably only buy 3-4 games a year for both systems. I would rather put my money into consoles I don't have for my collection. I still want a NeoGeo AES or even arcade cab. I could use a N64/NES/SNES to better represent that side of gaming. I would even consider picking up a ps3 since I don't have one.

So when does Apple's iPlay come out? I hear it will play a mean game of Angry Birds.
