I really like the game Chris but could you do something about the frequency of the blinking rings? It's really is giving me a headache to watch. It's actually making me ill.

Why can't I post messages? When I try, the site freezes up. I open another browser window and then it works. I've gotten in the habbit of storing my messages because most of the time it doesn't post the first time. I'm using Windows 7 with IE9.

Most people on ebay have no clue how to price something.

I've been working on a new game based on Intellivision's AstroSmash for a while now on and off. Now the program has finally gone into beta. I call my version Cosmic Blaster. It will soon be available in the Window Phone marketplace. I also have a version for the Zune HD. I am planning an Android version for the future. I'll probably make an XBox 360 indie version as well. The planet Zantar had its moon blown up by the evil bad guy aliens. Asteroid pieces are falling towards Zantar. You must blow up all the pieces heading in your direction. Colliding with any of the rocks or letting then hit the surface reduces your shields. When your shields are gone, it's Game Over! You control your ship by tilting your Windows Phone or Zune HD left and right. Your ship auto fires. It’s a very simple game but it is my first commercial game. I will post a deployment for the Zune HD soon and will add it to the Windows Phone marketplace soon after. I need to still make a title screen, high score table and some alien ships and shield power ups. Here is a screen shot.

I've been playing with Maximus Arcade for a few weeks now and I like it. However it doesn't seem to be supported anymore. I hear sending money in to the site is hit or miss on receiving a registration code. Are there any other front ends that you like? I've tried Hyperspin but don't like it because its very buggy and too complicated to use. How is GameEx? What would you suggest? Anyway to get a registration code for Maximus Arcade? I've emailed the author via LinkedIn.

Agreed. I played Star Raiders all the time on my Atari 400 back in the day. Now I play it on my XEGS. I use to play Final Legacy, Millipede and Zork series alot. The Atari 400 and A.N.A.L.O.G Computing magazine taught me to program. I could do some amazing things with Atari Basic and Action.

I perfer the XEGS. I can play the same exact games as the 5200 but in a nice small cartridge and I get a keyboard. Still I need one to complete my Atari console collection.

I took my Atari Lynx in its case with a bunch of games and the D-cell power unit to the airport. I put it thru the TSA x-ray machines and they freaked out! The security people were called and wanted to know what this was. They thought it was a bomb because of the wires and D-cells. I told them it was a classic handheld game system. After about a half hour of showing the that it was functional and wouldn't explode, they let me take it on the airplane but it had to be bag checked. Somehow it survived being thrown in with the rest of the luggage. I had to ship it home when I flew home a week later.

I thought everything China uses is considered "public domain" by them.

Best controller ever made? Well, 5200 trakball is definately one of the biggest. Along with the Colecovision version.
