  1. I am not sure about the facts on his score submissions, do tell. I guessed he submitted a tape as the left picture of his score submission looks like bad tracking possibly. That would be a bummer if that is a fake.

I think I actually read it here on A.A. how someone figured out that his score on .... whatever game it was..... was impossible. Also, how some of his scores were just accepted w/o proof.

  2. I'm looking to purchase a used 2600 Jr. model. I'd like one in nice cosmetic and working condition, as it's going to be used regularly. I only have a heavy sixer these days, and it that deep, recessed cartridge slot doesn't seem to like a lot of newer cartridges (looking at YOU Defender II!) or some of the M Network carts. The 7800 creates a fit that's too tight for my comfort...Anyway...

I figured I'd go this route, before looking at eBay. If it came with a box, that'd be super cool (!!), but that isn't necessary. I would like a power adapter and Atari branded cable, if possible. I've got the switchbox covered.

    Many Thanks!

P.S. Please don't rip me off.

    LOL

  3. Albert, thank you so much for all you do for this site. I enjoy my time here more than anything else on the web and I can tell this really is a "labor of love" for you. I guess with that said, I really should subscribe. I'll get around to it, but in the meantime, I want to again thank you.

I agree, I spend more time here than any other website. Albert is definitely doing us Atari guys a huge service and I appreciate it.

  4. This along with a few remaining 2600 titles is my holy grail. I have been trying for the last 15+ years to get my hands on one that works. One came on E-Bay many years ago and of course I was outbid in the last second. I have a lead on one now, but the middleman I am working with is a little flaky.

  5. It always starts with one, lol.

Before you know it, you'll have a basement full and works-in-progress filling the garage.

Update: Well, so far from what's been delivered, it looks like two upright Pleiades cabinets. Not sure what else he mentioned, but I think a Ladybug is coming as well. The cabinets are in fairly good shape, but it looks as if the power cords have been removed, so there's no way for me to test them at the moment. More updates coming soon.....

And another update: A Mars upright and a Ladybug as well. Still no power cords that I can see. The last unit he's bringing is in pieces, so I'll probably put a claim on the Ladybug unit. I'd forgotten that the cases are made out of (ugh) particle board. I think a good cleaning first, the perhaps trying to figure out how to attach a power cord to it. I AM NOT in any way, shape or form, an electrician. lol

Cords might be tucked inside the cabinet. Whenever I transport a machine (if possible) I will tuck the cord inside the cabinet so it won't get destroyed. Pull the back panel off and see if the cords are there. If not, it is one of the easiest fixes there is on a arcade cab. As far as other stuff P.M. me or go to the KLOV forums and the members there can walk you through most problems. Buying cabs. is very addictive and fun. And working on them is also addicting and fun. I buy a cab. at least once every couple of months, restore it, play the heck out of it and then sell it. Last year I restored a Baby-Pacman and the owner of Ground Kontrol bought it. :-D
