I have been the last two years and hope no pre opening cherry picking (yeah right) goes on this year. Other than that, great, I will be there and hope to get a halfway decent score this year.

Not sure if it is a good thing to advertise this on a public forum. Perhaps in subscribers.

Best not answer the question if you feel uncomfortable or even bother to post. I on the other hand feel comfortable saying I have around $7000 worth of 2600 and other system stuff. My most valuable game being The R-8 version of Halloween with manual, it is definitely not my rarest, but probably the most valuable.

Yeah, I have to agree with the previous posts, Space Invaders and Adventure. They are a couple of the greatest games ever released.

Do you have any pictures to share? I would love to see it

As soon as I get it I will post some pics.

Check for battery acid damage, which it most certainly will have, which is why it doesn't work. Talk him down and then buy it.
I got to talking to him last night and he went down 50 bucks, but he is firm at @ 300$. I heard that someone is making new boards to this. I think it is time to buy.

I found one (Baby pac-man pinball/arcade machine) by accident last week and managed to find the owner of the place its at. It does not work, but it is complete and the insides are very nice. Basically it is a 6 out of 10 cosmetically and complete throughout. I am fairly confident the only thing wrong with it is the corrosion I saw on the board (might be battery acid). Anyway, I was hoping some of you could tell me what I should pay for it. He wants $350. I am inclined to pay it, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Worlds largest arcade.
That is huge, reminds of that 'Hercules' pinball machine with balls the size of tennis balls. Your link, kinda looks like it plays Rampage, any ideas on that?

Up for sale is bumperbash for the 2600. Last time the cart was tested it was working however the end label is missing.
If it does not sell on E-bay, P.M. me.
Thanks

Out of the ones displayed in your photo, I enjoy Tapper and Winter Games the most. Taz is pretty fun for me also. Lost Luggage pretty much blows, I could never get into that game. The rest are O.K. and fairly fun to play.

I have around 300 doubles that are loose and around 200 doubles that are boxed. A couple of heavy sixers (boxed), light sixers (boxed), 4 switchers, and an extra vader. 2 boxed control balls, wireless controllers and a bunch of other misc. crap. I am eventually gonna sell the the dupes. , but it is honestly hard for me to let them go.

I've done 3 major projects so far and only 1 of them was a success, and even then it was a "prototype" success as now I know I could have done so much better on the first run. Cart magnets were a complete and utter failure and the Lampodore and Jr. lamps can now be considered a failure.
Most great artists go to their grave feeling they were a failure. Only after they are in they ground does the public realize their genius. I am sure that the fact that a few hundred broke people on AtariAge think your work is awesome doesn't help much, but it is better than a kick to your gentleman vegetables. I think your lamps are the shiz!
Gosh, did you buy one Chuck?

These are the ones that I didn't have.
Titlematch Pro Wrestling Absolute
Tax Avoiders American Videogames
Lost Luggage Apollo
Atari Video Cube Atari
Codebreaker Atari
Taz Atari
Wall Ball Avalon Hill
Solar Fox CBS Electronics
Winter Games Epyx
Survival Run Milton Bradley
Frogger II Parker Bros
Gyruss Parker Bros
Mr. Do's Castle Parker Bros
Tapper Sega
Bump "N" Jump M Network
Asteroids Sears
Canyon Bomber Sears
Maze Mania Sears
I think they are worth abut the $80 Plus there are about 90-100 others, some that are improvements on condition compared to what I already have, and some are worth a couple bucks and I might sell the extra ones like Gremlins, Track & Field, Snoopy & the Red Baron...
That is an incredible deal you got. I would like to buy the Snoopy, my loose cart. no longer works.

I have always wanted to get a Galaga machine (or the Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man combo). What's a fair price to pay for one of these, either the stand-up kind or table top? Did you guys ever buy off ebay?
This isn't a want ad, but more a dream for the future....
I have never once seen one below $1000 in the Portland metro area. Portland coin op., Mountain coin, and all the other small time sellers list this $1200 and UP and I mean WAY up. I think if you could get one under a thousand dollars you have done well.

A tore up boxed E.T. is rare? You want $17.18 for a torn up boxed E.T. Good luck to Mcgrail and I feel sorry for any idiot that would pay that for a f'ed up box and one of the most COMMON (not rare) games in the Atari catalogue.

It is amazing how cheap a GameCube goes for $10-$25. It is the only system that I bought new $150 other than my ps3. The wave bird controllers for the GameCube go for twice the price of the GameCube console itself.

Hey ps3 folks, I have a question for you. Since I have been laid off for the last 4 months my friend and I (he worked and got laid off the same time as me for the same company) have been playing my ps3 between job hunting and interviews. The only good coop game that I have has been 'Resistance': Fall of man. Can I get some suggestions of other good 2 player coop games that we can play at my house and not have anything to do with being online. Thanks.

It's a joke. Sort of.

Jose is a collector of Atari 2600 items, and seems to have money. He bought Air Raid boxed for upwards of $30K.
edit: if there's a bidding war for this, he's likely to win.
That's a hell of a coincidence, The price I announced at VGS is $32,768.00 USD ($32k)
That's just 50 cents a byte for the whole cart, or $4 a byte for the 8K Star Castle runs out of.
No bidding war, first come first serve, cash, cashiers check, or wire deposit only.
But, there's a little more to it than that... If someone does eventually purchase the cartridge, they can tell me if they think I should make another physical cartridge (serial number 00002 of course) and withhold the source for some number of years or if I should release the source and playable binaries (F8 bank switch for Stella and my custom 64K cart versions) immediately.
$32,768.00 for a homebrew? Wow, you are really shooting high. Good luck, and by the way, the game looks great.

I was given an sealed copy of Venture for the 2600 once. The seal was kind of bad so I decided I wanted to open a 2600 game like kids did back in the day. It was interesting to be opening a game that had been sealed longer then I had been alive. The neatest part to me was just how clean the cart was. I have a pile of loose carts, but the cleanist wasn't near a pretty as this game was coming out of the box. The PCB was still nice and pretty in the bottom of the cart, freaking beautiful.
That said I have something like 10 other sealed games I can't make myself open. I often wonder whats inside, and if I knew there were posters in there I would open them now, but I don't so I wont.
I am pretty sure Xenophobe came with a poster. I am not positive though, as the box came to me open and someone could have put it in there after the fact.

Adventure - best 2600 game ever. And I have played just about all of them. A close second would be Dragonstomper. And third would have to go to Wizard of Wor.

Any thoughts on the best homebrews? And how do you go about finding them? I just found out about them.
Suicide Adventure and Misadventures Revisited. They are made by Randy (Hozer). This is his link http://www.hozervideo.com/ . Some of the folks here despise him, I think his stuff is great, especially those two games.
Suicide Adventure is a hack. It was made by George Veeder, not Randy (Hozer) Crihfield. I don't know if Randy has rights to sell this game or not, but a Google search only shows it on his "Personal List".
I didn't find much info on Misadventures Revisited.
I never said and I do not know if Suicide Adventure is a hack or not. It seems fairly obvious after playing once that is a hack though, and a damn good one. I did not realize that Randy did not create the hack himself. Thanks for clearing everything up.

I am not aware of the history on this matter either. I just read through the first 50 issues of 2600 Connection and read Randy was one of the first to help put games on carts for people to play. Not sure what happened and when it happened though.
Anyway, I could not find info on the site of what is a hack and what is a homebrew. I generally just go for homebrews unless the hack is especially cool or extensive (like Medieval Mayhem, Berzerk VE, Venture with all three levels, etc.).
I would be interested in the unique games from him but don't know which ones they are. I may shoot him an e-mail and ask.
I don't think Medieval Mayhem is a hack. If it is my apologies, what I do know is that it is an incredible game. I have been trying to buy it for a reasonable price for awhile now.

If our offer is approved, the house we are buying has an awesome barcade space........in the basement. Given my history with large appliances and stairs, buying this for $20 was a no-brainer:
Super-heavy duty appliance dolly, with built in ratchet strap and the little stair climber treads. Now I just need a few machines to move around with it. And a place to put them.....
Great dolly, I hope you get some good cabs. to put on it.

What is the quintessential Atari game?
