Any thoughts on the best homebrews? And how do you go about finding them? I just found out about them.
Suicide Adventure and Misadventures Revisited. They are made by Randy (Hozer). This is his link http://www.hozervideo.com/ . Some of the folks here despise him, I think his stuff is great, especially those two games.

It's almost ready to be sold. It will be availible via Marketplace.I am actually looking forward to this. What are you charging for the cart. and shipping to Warren, Oregon? Is there a box or anything else besides the cart.? And can you upload the definite (what you are actually going to send) end product? Thanks.

How do I get to the easter egg In Yars Revenge that lets you see Howard Scott Warshaw's initials?
Here is the way per wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yars'_Revenge

Bought some games from Benny and everything went great. A VERY honest seller and great communicator. I look forward to doing business with again.

I am surprised by all your auctions end prices (or lack there of). I thought your board games would have generated a lot more interest. I wish I would have bid on them. I did not think I had a chance to win them.

BUMP!
Are you a glutton for punishment? Just messing with you. Keep up your work on hacks and looking forward to see them.

Wow, you're dragging my status update into this? Fine, I can play too. As a matter of fact, threads like this are exactly what drove me to post that in the first place.Actually, you have it backwards. You dragged your misunderstanding of a few of these Jr. Pac threads to your status update and made a big puffy deal about it instead of posting in one of these threads.
Have any of you snobs ever been a kid before? Seriously, have you? Almost everyone is a little bit ignorant at that age (not knocking Jr. Pac here), but you people seem to act like asking a question about something you would already know the answer to is a capital offense. Take off the propeller hat and realize that there are actually normal, intelligent people who don't know the difference between a CPU and a GPU.If you would have bothered to read what was posted, we didn't know how old Jr. Pac supposedly was until the recent "I'm 10 years old" announcement. I and probably others assumed it was either a delusional 35 year old guy in his mother's basement or a 35 year old guy in his mother's basement pretending to be delusional for the fun of it.
I know that at least 80% of the people here are over the age of 25. It's time for some of them to start acting like it.Signed,
4Ks
Age 14
We are acting like it. Have you young snobs ever been old before? Seriously, have you? Almost everyone is a little bit grumpy and sarcastic when they reach a certain age. Heck, I was grumpy and sarcastic when I was 14 years old.
It's time for you to stop misunderstanding what you read and blowing things out of proportion and start acting like you're 14 by having fun chasing girls, popping zits, whining about your chores, and pretending that your parents don't know why you were in the bathroom so long with the water running.

I don't know R.T., but arguing with a 14 year old is almost impossible, and usually not worth the effort. In their minds they are never wrong......ever.

If that's my hack, I'm gonna sue!
LOL.

Interesting thread. If you are only 10, I have to say that you are doing a great job. I hope you keep it up and maybe program a game that is yours alone. Anyway
and keep at it.-

I have (had) an auction for a cart of the 2006 homebrew Medieval Mayhem that's due to start in about 2 hours.
I just got notice from eBay that it was pulled & that I was in violation of Mod Chips or Replica/Counterfeit/Unauthorized Copy policies. I disagree. This game is even in their Sell search box & has the canned item description data to augment my auction text!
I see homebrew games on eBay quite frequently. I purchased this from AtariAge myself several years ago, enjoyed it, & am now selling it off.
Has anybody had eBay pull their auction & be given a warning & have to take the quiz because of an incorrect flag? I replied to eBay Customer Support's message to plead my case just, but I've found that they're generally disappointing when contacted for such problems.
I had to take their on-line tutorial to be allowed to list items again, & I found one question that stated that certain copyright holders don't want their items sold at all & such items are automatically pulled, but I doubt that applies here. I'll contact the appropriate folks just in case I'm wrong here.
As a quick test, I just now tried making a 2nd dummy auction for Medieval Mayhem, without entering any of my own text, & it didn't give me the warning page when I was submitting it--clearly I have some suspicious text in my auction. Strange... I just started 16 other auctions that have nearly identical text--below is the only text that's unique to this auction:
"Up for sale is the NTSC version of a remake of the Atari classic video game Warlords for the Atari 2600 VCS, with funky music, fancy graphics, an Easter Egg, lots of settings, & the same awesome 4-player action of the original Warlords. I bought this new & it's still in its protective baggie, in like-new, mint condition."
I wonder what bit of text there was flagged???
Let's please not turn this into an eBay bash-a-thon. I'm looking for any replies from folks with helpful advice or experience in this area.
Thank you,
-Jason
I don't know why E-bay does this, I have read a few threads here kind of like yours before though. What were you looking to get for the cart.? If you are interested in selling it here I would be interested.
Thanks

Aww, that jr lamp auction will end when I'm on vacation, no chance of getting to a computer to place my bids. :/

Hi.
About 4-5 years ago bought a NIB espial, which i later sold of with quite some profit. I have been searching for a loose cart since then. I think that the one i had was NTSC, and the ones i have come across since then has also been NTSC. That makes me wonder just how damn rare the PAL espial realy is?
Any thoughts?
Skål!
This is probably just sour grapes, but where the hell did you get a CIB or even a loose Espial? Do you have any more that are NTSC? If so, I WANT it. I swear to god that this is the toughest cartridge to get that is a r-9 or less. I think that this cart. must be a r-8 or more.
I bought it on a internet auction for 25euros, however im not 100% sure it was NTSC.
I sold it as a CIB about a year later for about 50 euros, thinking that the guy i sold it to were completely mad.
Since then i have learned a lot, and that guy doesn´t seem so mad now.
I got realy exited when a seller on german ebay (german seller) had a loose espial cart for sale about 7-8 mounths ago.
But that cart was also NTSC, and didn´t go for a lot of money, if i remember correctly.
It is kinda funny, I was just P.M.ing with Benny Bingo and was asking him if he had an extra Espial cart. If you ever get another NTSC copy please PM me or at least put it up at the marketplace.
Thanks
I´m pretty good at asking the seller the right cuestions before bidding nowadays, and therefor didn´t bid on the espial on german ebay thinking it was PAL. Since im only interested in PAL carts, i promise to sell here on the marketplace if ever run into a fairly priced NTSC espial again.

Not trying to hijack this post, but this is one of my favorite games of all time. I was lucky enough to get this as a gift awhile back. I know they are pretty spendy now though.
to be honest with you i never played it lol
Give it a shot. I think you will have a blast with it. I don't suppose you would want a trade with a N64 title or an Atari 2600 title (these are the only two systems I collect)? I would love to have an extra Z.N.

I dealt with this once awhile back and just marked paid. There is some hassle from E-Bay when you do this , but I forget what exactly it was, but it was not too big a deal.

I read the one place in Portland Oregon and it's not Kencade. It is Ground Kontrol. Ken House is the guy that posted the link. He is a true ass, he tried to buy one of my arcade stand ups a few years back and basically told me unless it was made of gold I could fuck off. Of course he said that stuff via e-mail after coming here and telling me what was wrong with every single game I had. Anyway F him and his Dig Dug record. I whipped his ass at Asteroids and Missile Command when he was at my house.
Rant over.
Your neutrality is completely understandable.
You should have seen the posse he came here with (my house). I had to have my G/F's daughter stay in her room. I am completely serious about that. They were leering at her like high school kids. The gaming cliques (even here in Portland) are amazingly obnoxious. I do admit that I hang with the Star Wars guy, but this Ken House actually has a fairly large following. Remember all those guys that worshipped Billy in 'King of Kong'? Sorta like that.
A few days ago this post was pointed out to me so I figured I should probably pop in.
First, I have no idea who this joker is. I've NEVER tried to buy a game from anyone in WARREN, the dueling banjo music scares the hell outa me anytime I even start driving on highway 30!
Secondly, When I do buy a game I dont 'role up with a posse'. I'm an arcade gamer/collector not a gangsta...
Third, Billy Mitchell is as much of a DB in real life as he is in the movie...
Forth, Since I didn't actually meet this fool, I'm not sure why he'd wanna say silly shit about his G/F's kid. Some people just like to talk shit.
Fifth, While I am not a great asteroids or missile command player, I doubt you could take me at either one. The asteroids WR was set at my place last year and the missile command record has been attempted here a few times now and will be again in September. I'll post links to the video feed when the time rolls around, always a good time.
Sixth, While I do tend to bash people on the internet sometimes and let my temper get the best of me I'll try not to do it here. If you really have something to say, send me a PM, I'll get you directions to the gym I train at and you can come down and we can go a few rounds... You can bring your G/F and her kid LOL
-Ken
PS - On Topic. My Collection does have a PacMan. Its a Ms PacMan with a Clay Cowgill 24 in 1.
I debated on to even bother responding, but decided to to clear a few things up.
The only thing in your post that I know is true, B.M. is a prick, and nope, you never came to my house in Warren. You came to my house when I lived in Portland. Other than that you are full of shit.
This is my last post to waste on a tiny, arrogant asshole like Ken House.

Wow, that might even be bigger than the 5200 trackball.
I think you are right, but its only bigger by a little bit.

I didn't notice it before but I see the hole where the wire is going into the joystick so the joystick is hooked up to the thing on the stand.
I think slowcoder got it, it does look like a keyboard stand.
-
Can anyone identify what the thing is on the stand with the wire?
Well it's an ironing board so I am going with..... an Iron
