  1. Greetings all, I have a CIB Sears Demons to Diamonds. The box is in ok shape with some minor bumps and sticker damage, the cart has acti-plaque, the instructions are there as well. I do not have pictures at the moment, but I will post some as soon as I am able. I am curious as to rarity of this item as I am reading various degrees if difficulty finding a boxed version.
  2. Thanks for the info. My friends toys shop is pretty crowded as far as collectibles go. Stacks and stacks of stuff to go through. This happened to be on top of a pile of stuff he was sorting. He had received a collection of 70's, 80's and 90's empty boxes, packaging and cardbacks which will take some time to get through. Most of the empty games boxes went to other collectors. I don't know what he would have from week to week. D
  3. Greetings, I recently picked up this Activision Spider Fighter store display card from a friends toy shop. I have not been able to find another picture of this on the WWW or a price on such items. It is a pretty bright image of Gahan Wilson artwork, and an piece I haven't seen before. The card is thick board, some wear and pinprick mold damage or Acti-plaque along the bottom. The spider heads fold out a bit. I paid $10 CDN. Any information would be appreciated as far as value.
  4. I have had this happen a couple of times last year when ordering from high volume or power sellers who list items that they did not have in stock. One sent an item that they said "looked" like the one I ordered......they ended up refunding me.
  5. Haha! That much for a $30 game....by far the most common flea market Atari carts are the Zellers brand. I guess I should stop passing them over when I see them.
  6. ******UPDATE********** Cart arrived albeit a couple of weeks late, as expected with the holiday season and overseas shipping. arinaga8 has made good with the payment. I refunded a portion of the shipping due to an oversight on my end. Problem resolved.
  7. This one may need further investigation and maybe a shot of a couple of sunfaded carts. The blues are fairly bright and would have faded as much as the other colours. The bricks on the bottom are blue, the green ink would have faded as much as the rest. I did some tone tests in photoshop and found that the tone of the blue on the bottom bricks are gradually graded, the colour cart has different tone for each layer. Unless someone has a colour faded cart to show then it looks like a variant.
  8. This looks more like a vanity project than an auction site.
  9. Greetings all, Paypal has sided with the buyer. ******UPDATE********** Cart arrived albeit a couple of weeks late, as expected with the holiday season and overseas shipping.
  10. It was shipped out November 7th....Canadapost gives you 3 to 14 business days for delivery...to play it safe I would guess about 6 weeks to get there. So he did jump the gun a bit on filing a claim. I am well within the timeframe for delivery. It happens when you are too cheap to pay for the insurance....insured it would have been around $35. I would hope it does arrive before the Dec 20th Paypal cutoff. I have done a lot of business overseas as a buyer and seller and the reality is sometimes you have to wait. I have only had one item lost as a seller in over 10 years and one as a buyer. I have had items sit in customs for a long time. I would really prefer if he got the cart. I am not taking a huge loss other than the postage and original cost of the cart. I am not the type of person who would not follow through with an agreement once struck.
  11. BOY AM I GULLIBLE! After so many years buying and selling I should know better.....but after the auction I agreed to ship the Tooth Protectors to the buyer in Germany. He was insistant on getting the cheapest shipping rate. I advised I would not ship it without tracking and insurance and he agreed to waive claim if it did not arrive. I took a photo of the item at the post office with the Canadapost labels stamped to it and a photo of the receipt. A little of our email conversation: Me: "Greetings, As stated I do not give refunds or guarantee delivery if this is uninsured. I will bill this to you if you agree. I am not responsible for non-delivery and WILL NOT REFUND IF IT DOES NOT ARRIVE." Buyer: "I understand. The only thing that I can count on is that you can demonstrate in case of delivery that you have send it by post to my adress. I fully understand your responsibility" Me: "For shipping you have some options. Please let me know which you prefer. With no tracking number and insurance I do not guarantee delivery or offer refunds." Buyer: "please charge me with the 17,76 option." Me : "Pictures of items sent. As agreed you opted for the cheapest method I was unable to get a tracking number. I will refund partial postage when item arrives. Please email when it does." He has done business with other AA members so I thought sure why not TRUST the email agreement. Now it sits with Paypal to decide.....most likely I will take a loss on the cart.

  13. Vomit-inducing insanity! How are you supposed to play it??? eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320998916781 We used to have a drinking game based on playing Empire.....can't recall the exact rules so I guess it was successful.
  14. Cool....I tried to test it on all of my systems.....although I didn't try it on the Colecovision expansion. I have a preference for the Gemini....much better response from the joysticks and easier to use. Although my kids have a hard time using them.....they are used to the Xbox!
  15. A very interesting topic indeed! No one should be slighted by school girl's business practices. In a free market there is no rule that you can or cannot buy and resell. I have done so many times, although not on eBay. I have bought, traded and resold many collectibles starting with toys and comics, then onto animation art and videogames for almost 20 years. I prefer to let the market make its price, be it auction or offers. But this is a hobby to me not my job (as it is for most here). I enjoy finding items for my own collection and selling off what I am not interested in to feed the collection. The unfortunate thing is speculators come in to the hobby and drive prices through the roof, take sports cards and comics for example. Those markets have been decimated, companies and stores bankrupt....yet the prices still go up as collectors and speculators try and hold on to their investments. At one point in the late 90's I bought comics by the pound, not for the art or content. Hell, I didn't even read them. Animation art is another example....for years you could sell any piece at a premium. Now the market is flooded with tons of artwork at a fraction of what they used to be. Good for my collection as I can now pick and choose, not so good as an investment. Ebay is the worst example of speculators trying to push their stock, be it sealed graded videogames or insanely overpriced items. The "LOOK AT ME" overpriced buy-it-now items supposedly made to drive traffic serve no one. At some point speculators will drive the collectors out of the hobby. Buy it or don't.....or wait for a better price. Even better.....buy a Harmony cart and play ALL of the games!
  16. Rare Pitfall II prototype only $49995! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 230871673831 Unbelievable....I wish people would do their research and at least put a reasonable demand on the price. It is embarrassing to call this person a fellow Canadian. This is not the only Atari proto that has shown up on ebay at an outrageous price.....sell it or don't, but stop wasting buyers time.
  17. Greetings all, I just posted a listing for my copy of Tooth Protectors. Funds are going toward joysticks for my MAME cabinet. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321010408649
  18. Ebay actually redirected me to another page blocking me from bidding. First time that has happened...must be new. No worries....good luck with the auction, you have some nice manuals there! Thanks!
  19. There is a link that says "Does not ship to Canada".
  20. Hmmm....no Canada shipping....ah well....
  21. Just read about this on Facebook! Add me to the list...cart only.....no box needed.
  22. Ahhhh! Awesome....I couldn't figure out why it was working intermittently. I was hitting the fire button, but only to match my curse words! Haha....thanks!
  23. Just bought the Harmony cart and it works great on all of my consoles except the Gemini. It seems to be hit or miss with it. It works fine, next load the menus scroll and stop randomly or stick on one game. I tried it on a couple of Gemini and then back into a Heavy 6'er, Sears Telegames and a couple of juniors...works fine until it is back into the Gemini. Just wondering if anyone had the same problems. Thanks, Dobidy
  24. Better late than never! I finally reflowed the solder on my Gemini and it works like a dream. The cracks are so small I had to break out the magnifying glass. They definately were stingy with the solder onthe joystick ports. There is not a lot of support there either...big design flaw on Coleco's part. Although I will have to redo my other Gemini as there was a bit of jostling testing joysticks and then it crapped out again. At least that one is my parts/backup system. Thanks for the tip!
