Major bummer, but I suppose it's my fault for stopping play without seeing everyone else's updates. I ended up one spot why of my goal, a fifth place finish to tie my results from the last season. Oh well: Vocelli, its on you now to pull one out for us squeakers!

Finally back up from maintenance, and I see my score will not get me to the next round... 203,030. No picture necessary, it seems. [edit] wait, maybe it will! the score: the secret weapon: ...the proof of time to come... {SECOND EDIT} I took a picture of my camera screen with my phone's camera, to show the timestamp on my high score picture, 8:15 pm EST. The forums were already down for maintenance at that point, though I kept checking throughout the night. I posted my score quite literally the first moment I could access the forum; access was blocked until after midnight for me. Please accept my score!

Think of the KO as an added incentive for those of us who start season 10 and play every week. Anyone can get points for any given week in the season, but the die hards have their KO on the side, too. I don't see a conflict in doing both going forward.

I really like the KO format, myself. Combining it with a regular HSC season seems like it would work very well. I also really like having the list of potential games posted, since it gives me an excuse to look for more carts!

147,410: on the Keyboard 155,630. Looks like everyone is safe from me. After 150K it just gets too damned fast for me! I'll try again tomorrow...

Broke our my Slik Stik and got a bump to: 133,450... If I can get used to the looser action, I should be able to keep playing this weekend.

111630, and my hand hurts so bad I can't play again today. I hope I can play this on the keyboard, or I'm dead in the water. Either something is wrong with my hand, or something is wrong with my joystick, but either way its keeping me from having any fun with this one :'(

99,450... and a long way to go. Apparently I broke one of my joysticks on Frogger last week, so not only was my first go shite, but my hand cramped up so bad its almost useless still! Better luck tomorrow , I hope.

hehe, 5ks?!! pretty Frogtastic there... yeah you won this one I bet. I haven't won one thing yet, lol.. but I had to quit Raft Rider (mind numbing) and Rampage crashed on me... that doesn't help. The early rounds, were a very busy time for the moderator so I didn't have time to work on the early games as much... Yars' was another one.. just 2 quick tries. Yeah, well; if the moderator smashes everybody from the get-go, that can be pretty discouraging! Saving yourself for the long-haul, right? I will say though, that having the knock-out mentality has saved be a bit of stress over the course. As long as I know I'll get to the next round, I don't have to fret overmuch about catching up on points. I mean, I'm 10th in points, but still kicking [knock on wood]

Also... Boo-yah! 5613. With only 40 minutes to go, it looks like I just might grab my first non-rolled, not-shared crown for the tourney

Don't get me wrong, I think playing Ridley Scott's Alien as a Pac-man clone is sheer Atari awesomeness... I just really suck at that game [i've seen the scores posted in the past for it]

4932 WOOT!!! Second score today in 4K territory, though I always make some stupid mistake that late in the game that does me in, you know, the kind of dumb mistake one makes on the first level of a new game... Also, this is a rare game that I seem to do better at with the keyboard.

So. What's the word on the next game to start at midnight?

So, my son has a friend over, and they see me playing a round of Frogger, mid 2K, and go "oh, can we play some Atari too?" so sure, I hand over the joystick. They play a little Basketball and Yar's Revenge, and then, "I want to play something else, something not on the Atari," and now they're playing Wii in my living room and I'm using Stella and a keyboard, and can only tie my already posted score. Grr. Update: Kept playing on the keyboard and cracked my prior high: 3506! Go me!

2513... finally getting my groove on. I fully expect reaching 3K easy, but 4K might be out of my reach on this one.

First run: 1075, and nowhere to go from here but up!

4096: a nice little bump. I'm happy to have cracked 4K, though I freaked out and quickly lost my last 2 buckets almost immediately. Considering my prior best was 1746, and my general mediocrity with paddle games, I'm happy with my performance here... of course I'll be even happier if I survive to the next round!

Makes you wonder what exactly is going on beneath that green wall thing, huh?

Wow, now I must survive the round! But, if I pick Reactor by mistake, I'll f'ing harikari myself... Hm, there's no R2 for my nerdom to pick... maybe I'll go with something close to my initials... [also, no score update tonight... my wife wanted wine and a movie after work, to unwind from another day of selling Girl Scout cookies]

New best: 3599 That's another 42% increase from yesterday.

2548. A personal best. Now I only have to keep increasing my score this same 72% margin every day this week to be competitive !
