Not really a game, but i would say the most expensive commercially released lynx cart is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=110165494837 (5 days left and already at $274). (please note that the original author sells (or at least used to) the cart-only version of this for a small fee, so don't overpay for a loose cart on eBay)

Does anyone use this Sniping service?
YOK-dfa replied to SpendTooMuchOnAtari's topic in Auction Central
If you are that paranoid you shouldn't be using any closed source programs. How do you know that the program doesn't secretly transmit your password in the background? As far as we know, the authors could be gathering all those logins in a giant database Why would that stand-alone program (of which you have no idea of the inner-workings) be any safer than a network service? -
What was the pack-in game for PAL Vidco Copy cart?
YOK-dfa replied to Pipster's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I don't think it had a ZiMAG label then. The Homevision Copy Cart came bundled with Robot Fight (PAL): http://www.atarimania.com/detail_soft.php?...5026&MENU=2 Are you sure about that? I'm pretty sure my copy cart came with 'Parachute' preinstalled... *makes mental note to check* -

IIRC that should be the powerwire. Basically you plug your normal Atari PSU in the romscanner and from there another wire goes to the Atari to supply it with the much needed charged electrons...

unable to edit my message in a pinned topic

If so, could you lift this time limit alltogether from the wanted subforum? I would like to update my want-list but i can't anymore -
The 2nd from the right is not an Atari 2600 cart, but The Final Cartridge 3 for the Commodore 64. It's some kind of fast-loader with a bunch of other utilities. No idea what the other cart is. Looks like it's home-made.

QFT.

Well, there is the infamous 16-in-1 Atari cart which is also lacking a end label... (which is of course no surprise since it's based on the 32-in-1)
-
That is extremely easy to fix. I once bought a joystick with the same defect and now it's working perfectly. Here's what i did (found the info somewhere in TeH iNTaRWeBS): 1) Use blow dryer to slowly heat the top label of the joystick so it can be removed without damage 2) Open joystick. 3) Find potmeters inside joystick. Open them and somewhere in there is a broken spring. 4) Take very common Atari 2600 cart with the sliding/selfclosing cart protector (i used a PAL Missile Command). Break open the cart and take the spring that is inside. Watch out when you open it, because the spring has a tendency to jump out when you open the cart. 5) Cut spring to right size and bend it a little. It's not the exact right size, but it comes very close. Just play around a little until it fits perfectly. 6) Insert new spring into potmeter of Vectrex joystick 7) Put everything back together

No. Even if you leave out pirate carts (this is where you can find the real rarities), there are plenty of carts more rare than Mangia. How about Treasure Below, Steeplechase (Videogem), the Mystique and PlayAround PAL games, most Homevision games, Pengo, some Carrere Video games (Commando Raid & Infernal Tower), Stronghold (Commavid), PAL Supercharger games, etc. etc. I guess Mangia is the PAL equivalent of Chase The Chuckwagon (which for a while was considered to be the most rare NTSC game and still fetched a premium because of the story behind the cart)
-
Nonsense, Mangia is rare but not ultra rare, boxed copies show up a at least few times a year. There are a lot of PAL carts that are way more rare than this cart... The only reason it fetches more than the average cart is because NTSC collectors settle for a PAL version and drive up the price.
