This supergem from Sega has provided me with hours and hours of entertainment.  It also has proven to me some of these console games stay fun forever.

'Ol Cynicaster and I have fond memories playing this in our parents basement in the early 90s.

Fast forward to 2014.  I was working out of town in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.   Each day I would take a bus to work, as my residense was about 30 to 40 minutes from the Agrium Potash jobsite.

When working on the road, you can get lonely.  To fill the void, each bus ride both to and from the jobsite would involve me playing Streets of Rage on my cellphone( I d/l'ed a copy) .

You would think that after beating it once, even twice that you would put it down.  Nope.  I played every day for a couple of months!! It kept me entertained for longer than you would expect.

Fast forward to 2023.  I cracked open Streets of Rage yet again.  It was still a blast to play!

It will be a game I will never forget.

The bosses are actually tough on this game, unlike the 'piece of cake' bosses you encounter on RushnAttack...

Shooting hostages is frustrating, but it is good because you have to strategically hold your fire so as to not shoot them.  Hence you aren't just blindly button mashing.

This is a good one from Konami.

Iron Horse is also somewhat similar to this one, also built in 1986.
