Which one is older? The one with sn xxxxL came with a CX-10 stick and gray power supply. L comes before M, but the M doesn't have a channel slot. Were the slots orig and then removed later? Thanks.

Great job! Is this a light Sixer? It's not made in California, but it has heavy shielding. Do all light sixers have that shielding, but the lighter plastic?

Congratulations on getting your XEGS. I got one myself when they announced the keyboard demo, plus I have lots of Atari 800XL disks, and no working Atari computer.

Superb attention to the details! I can't believe it's all there! Background stars, double shot rings, 3 chaser stars... Wish list suggestions: The "raspberry" phfft sound when you run into the rings. A thin line score font like an led digital alarm clock (like vectors): _ |_| ...Do you plan to show the score like the arcade, between deaths and not clutter the gameplay?

Just received cart - can't write to SD card

That will work too. I left the camera folders on the card and it works in the Harmony or the camera. -
Just received cart - can't write to SD card
iesposta replied to mmayhem's topic in Harmony Cartridge
I don't think I can help, but I'll try. My Harmony did not come with an SD card. I just used one formatted by my Camera. I'm sure that it is FAT32, and my Mac can write to it just fine. Select the mounted image and menu Get Info or (Command I) At the bottom of the info window check for read/write permissions. You may have to click the lock and type your password to change permissions to your User, System, & Everyone. -

I want to program dead consoles
iesposta commented on EricBall's blog entry in EricBall's Tech Projects
Please seriously consider programming for the Vectrex! I have spent the majority of money on games and accessories for the Vectrex, and I don't have all that many things really. I don't know what kinds of profit these home-brews make, but consider these facts. Lots of excellent home-brews are not available as rom files. Best example would be Vector Pilot (Time Pilot). That limited edition game with two overlays was around $80. Also I spent $80 for Warrior, also a limited edition that hasn't even been completed yet. $38 spent for Debris Revisited from the author's webpage (there's one on eBay for $40). There's a game called Sundance which I never saw in the arcade, but there's no test rom and it looks like a puzzle game so I wasn't interested. You can get the game for $30. Did you see how much the three limited edition box set of Sundance went for on eBay? $320 ?, $342.37, and $520.00!!! -
Atari/ColecoVision/Intellivision/Vectrex Dustcovers
iesposta replied to Nannys Sewing Treats's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I have purchased 4 embroidered dustcovers from this seller (end 2011) and just want to add that, apart from still including a small piece of dryer sheet, there is NO SMOKE SMELL at all. Reading thru this thread may put some people off from less than satisfied customers, but I must report my 100% satisfaction. A cover fits the 2600 Heavy Sixer, but it's too tight, so I asked to buy one a little larger. She now makes Heavy Sixer covers! How cool is that? Check out eBay or inquire here and order. (I own 2 Vectrex covers, 1 Atari cover, 1 Atari Heavy Sixer cover) I'd still like some more when I save some money - Colocovision and Colecovision Expansion Module 1 embroidered covers, Atari 7800 embroidered cover... -
Overpayment sent! Keep the change!

Where would the manual be for Moon Cresta? Google found this: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/185441-moon-cresta-7800/page__st__375 (I was thinking you had a website with the manual. )

True, the ring get brighter and take two hits, but you can leave that out. What I've noticed about brightness is that, overall, the arcade game is dim, very dim, but explosions and fireballs are max brightness and add drama, and chasing stars are brighter than the rings and player ship. What I noticed in the original YouTube video about 2:18 was the 30Hz effect in the recording making the rings dull and the explosions bright. That looked cool, and I thought it should play like that. Just take it as a suggestion to think about. Go to 2:18 here: http://m.youtube.com...dJjVIsxLk&gl=US

Wow! Very creative!

Yes! Are you set on the colors? The small ring yellow, med orange, lg red would match the Arcade overlay. Also, this is one game where I'd USE the BW/Color switch to play in black and white! Brightness is part of the gameplay -- see how well it's done in the arcade and as shown in the video of that unreleased port. I wish it were easy to make a star pattern background. Did you know that the star pattern of the coin op is a nude centerfold? It's true. The programmers taped one up and put dots outlining the lady! Her head is the upper right and legs point to the bottom left. It's one of the things that when you see it, you always can see it.

I will buy a cartridge too! This is one of the two arcade games that I own the boards, and Scramble (cocktail table) never worked. Easy guess as to what the other arcade game I own is. <- hint, hint...

Darn the bleed-through. I hate when something should work, but doesn't. I ordered some red/blue clip on glasses because I have an iPhone app at you can take 3D Shots... Same problem. The blue blocks out the red, but the red does not block out all the blue and you get ghosting. (or vice-versa) There were some red/blue 3D unfinished prototypes for the 2600, but the roms aren't released yet. The videos on YouTube bleed thru also.

Have you done any more work on this 3D shutter glasses? I had "Nexar" as a kid, that would be great to remake as 3D. "Challenge of.... Nexar, The" how is that for a title? Spectravision / or is it Spectravideo.

Do you like any 2600 ports better than the arcade original?
iesposta replied to Scrabbler15's topic in Atari 2600
Yes! Millipede arcade is too hard and not worth an arcade quarter (awesome trak-ball though). The 2600 Millipede is too hard also, but I end up going again and again. -
I demand you take it further!!! Re: star castle kernel I, too, demand you take it further! Pew...Pew... Go cd-w!

You're assuming he doesn't already enjoy that on the down-low. How about if we do CIB sideways? I said Atari 2600 Meteoroids, not give him hemorrhoids!

How about this from 2 1/2 years ago?

There's no way we should even fathom the idea of paying that kind of price. It's his prerogative to charge what he wants for his product, and ours should be that he can jump off a bridge. It's douche-bag stunts like his that really sully the hobby. Do programmers who write modern games even get this kind of payoff? But it is only $131.08 from 250 people and then everyone can have it. Who wants to start a poll? Seriously though, I agree with jetset. That's why I'm nudging for it to be remade without an 8K restriction.
