I'm a bit disappointed that when you start level 2 your gold is reset to 550. I guess that's part of the original game

I found that sticking to the less powerful castles to start with was best. Some of the positions are stronger than others so I deployed there first and then upgraded those positions before the game ramped up

I've been a bit quiet recently cos I started playing Jet Set Willy. I got so determined to complete it, that I couldn't play anything else. Anyway I'm back, and looking forward to playing it again in HSC soon, so that I can try to improve on my best run. Really like Castle Defender, I'll be playing that one more. I was playing it through Altrirra and the graphics seemed to glitch a bit after the first two or three waves, maybe it's caused by the settings I was using? I'll try on my 800XL later

I finally completed this last night, I was down to my last life! I know I can do better than that, so I'll try to improve on that go at some point. As far as I can see the game is now flawless, and very faithful to the original. What a great piece of work, thanks again for all that effort. Watching a Youtube video of the C64 version, it's only marginally better than the original A8 version! You've only got to watch a few seconds to see just how good 'our' new version is in comparison!

I had assumed that the item on the far left on 'Conservatory Roof' is impossible to get without losing a life. So I'm guessing that's the 'life lost' you're referring to. The one second from the left seems nearly impossible to get without losing a life, but I managed it a couple of times so I know it's not

My best is 73 items so far, I've got solutions for all of the rooms, it's just a case of cutting out the mistakes!

Cool. One other thing. I thought that rope was particularly difficult to climb. A lot more difficult than the one on 'The Cold Store' say. Is that the case in the original game?

Well I was hoping to complete it so I've been exploring all the rooms. I think 'Watch Tower' is the only one I haven't been to! So it's safe to say that no one has completed the game using your version yet then!

@Tezz - I think I may have found another bug. JSW is supposed to be able to climb the rope on 'We must perform a Quirkafleeg' to get to 'Watch Tower'. In our version he dies when he gets to the top of the rope. Perhaps I've got this wrong as I'm not that familiar with the original game.
