I put a good bit of time into the game over the weekend. I played up to level 11. It gets pretty tough. I do appreciate that you respawn with the weapons that you came into the level with. It's a good game and is a great addition to the 3DO library.

I got my order in and I am looking forward to it. I downloaded the ISO and played the game a bit. I like it a lot. It has some elements of both Wolfenstein and Doom as well as some atmosphere from Resident Evil and Doom 64. Very cool!

If you press those buttons together the games should reset to the main menu. See if the reset function is working or not.

Yes in the options you can "disable swagger". In other ports it's known as movebob or movement bobbing.

You said you cleaned the cart but have you tried cleaning the cartridge slot on the console? I will typically wrap an old t-shirt around something like a store membership card and push it into the cart slot a few times.

As far as he knows. From what I understand he still has many many crates of stuff that have not been inventoried because he just hasn't had the time to go through them all. Let's hope there are more Jaguar items buried in his stash somewhere.

The service manual I was looking at does not include the part numbers for any diodes. A friend of mine found a version of the service manual that does have them. That Zener diode part is DEDDTZ033CTT. So now I need to find an acceptable replacement.

I have a Panasonic FZ1 3DO which has power issues. I've had this unit for years and it used to work fine. Over time it developed an issue where once plugged in it would power on and run fine but once it was turned off it wouldn't boot again. The power LED flashes and the fan spins up and down continuously. If I unplugged it for a while and then plugged it back in it would boot again. It worsened over time to where it had to remain unplugged for longer and even then it wasn't guaranteed to boot. Now it doesn't boot at all. The power LED still flashes on and off and I can hear the fan whirring up and down. I have another unit that had a similar issue and after a recap it is working perfectly. Unfortunately I completely recapped this unit and it still isn't working. I used a board diagram to go around and test continuity on every cap and everything seems good there. I haven't identified any shorts. I believe I have identified a bad diode in the area of the power supply. The diode in question is D3. I checked continuity on the diodes in this area and all looks good. Testing the diodes themselves D33 and D12 test as expected where I get a reading of 0 in one direction and roughly 0.75 in the other direction. When I test D3 I get around 0.75 in one direction but when I test in the other direction the value is not 0. Instead it continuously climbs until I remove the probes. I removed the diode from the board, which is slightly bigger than a spec of dirt, and tested it out of circuit. It wasn't easy to test this little thing out of circuit. At one point I thought it was measuring 0 but I also had instances where it seemed to be exhibiting the same behavior as when it's in circuit. I cleaned up and retinned the pads and soldered the diode back in place. The behavior is unchanged. I suspect this diode is the problem. I don't know enough about this stuff to identify the diode and source a replacement. Can someone help me out? In this image you can see D3 which is below D2 and above D12. Based on the symbol for D3 it appears this is a Zener diode. Is it even possible to properly test a Zener diode in circuit? Any help is appreciated!

It wasn't a simultaneous release but Hover Strike was available on cart and on CD during the life of the Jaguar. I'm not sure if Iron Soldier 2 was available in cart format on store shelves.

Primal Rage would be awesome if combos weren't completely broken on Jaguar. Without combos what's the point?

I do not have this cart. I do have the V2 ROM that was released in the linked post. It hasn't been stated if the cart is required or that the ROM is acceptable for this round. What say you @Rick Dangerous?

I don't really care about winning. It's exciting to get a top score but I really just enjoy playing the games. It gives me an incentive to play my games and often they are games that I wouldn't think to put time into otherwise. I don't always have enough time to participate in every game but I participate every chance I get. I'm happy that the schedule has been extended for each game because I would have missed more of them otherwise. I definitely will not miss Rebooteroids.

I am. I have been using the Gamedrive. I will try my cart and see if it makes a difference.

If you get the CD version of the game there is no reason to get the cart version besides having it in your collection. The CD version has everything that's in the cart version and more.

What I did is I installed a free version of the game on my computer (2048-qt) and I played it during any idle time I had until I was able to get the 2048 block. Then I jumped on the Jag to try for a high score.
