It cannot be easily guessed, and the private key cannot easily be "ripped" out of an existing game. The whole idea is to keep the keys hidden so that they cannot be discovered. Encryption is like a secret code and the key is like the machine that decodes it. If you were at war, you couldn't give away decoder machines and you wouldn't include instructions how to build one in an unencoded message. I fully understand encryption.

This is a real nice kiosk. Looks like it is in perfect condition: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4&category=3537

Looks like you'd better use some of that 'ohsorryitneverexisted' cash pile to buy yourself a new keyboard, angerboy. There's something very wrong with your shift key. Stone I was thinking the same thing.

You are completely missing the reason why we can't encrypt cd's for the Jag. The encryption requires two keys... a public key and a private key. We have a public key from what I know of but we don't have a private key and we have no way of getting it. We cannot simply create an encryption. The whole point of encryption is that it cannot simply be guessed.

If your cd add-on is broken just keep this in mind... from what you have said... I think the Jaguar itself is working just great!
-
I know this is a really dumb question but I want to make sure to start from the basics... the cd player is plugged in right? I don't think that would be it because if I recall the Jag CD boot would still load but it would pop up a graphic saying it was unplugged. What is wierd about your situation is that with the JAG CD plugged in you shouldn't see the spinning JAG Cube at all. It should be a VLM screen at boot instead.

6 years ago my used-to-be-step-dad and I played Super Burnout for about 2 months straight. We tried to perfect every track in the game. Tonight I went and looked at the best times in the game and I found that my step-dad had every best time (average time and fastest time) except for one. On Germany, though he had best average time, I have fastest time. In the past 6 years I have not managed to beat his times or improve my one fastest time. I was just wondering if anyone out there has a faster time on Germany. My best time on Germany is: 0'29"43 Everyone that played this game for a fair amount of time please post your best Germany time. When I played tonight I found that I still went around the tracks pretty smoothly. But... I was at least 10 seconds to slow (average and best) on every track. I can't believe that 6 years ago we had the tracks perfected so much that at least 10 seconds could be cut off the times I got tonight on every track. Man... video game bums... gotta love em.

Because skyhammer is 4mb, does it have the best jag graphics
Hyper_Eye replied to Willard's topic in Atari Jaguar
As a programmer I will say that the learning process is a long and boring one (a never ending one at that) and it get's boring real fast. I don't want to sound mean or anything but I just don't think that you have the right dedication. I believe you will get bored and quit. I hope you prove me wrong and I hope that somehow you will put out a good new game on the Jag. But... until I see something to verify your dedication I am simply going to disregard anything you say about developing a game. -

You're not following the proper procedures. Here's the checklist: [ ] Invent company name [ ] Design company website [ ] Redesign Company Website [ ] Invent important sounding executive positions for selves [ ] Enhance Company Website [ ] Buy development system [ ] Invent 1st game name [ ] Invent 2nd game name [ ] Invent 3rd game name [ ] Place development system in closet [ ] Announce Release Dates within 1 year [ ] Create "screenshots" with Paint/Photoshop [ ] Declare great progress is being made in coding [ ] Redesign Company Website [ ] Announce desire to learn programming [ ] Put two games "on hold" to focus all efforts to work on one [ ] Sell development system under alias [ ] Redesign Company Website [ ] Report great progress in game development [ ] Vanish without a trace. Sounds about right. -
Have you ever cheated on your wife with your Jag? C'mon, you can be honest.

You really are a moron aren't you. -
The new console could be a Leopard, Tiger, or something more viscious! Like a Thunderbird! "Atari Thunderbird... suddenly the Jaguar's no fun anymore!"

Willard... you cannot judge a games graphics simply by its size. Many factors can contribute to size... the amount of content... whether or not textures were compressed and whatnot... whether or not the people who created the game are good enough coders to keep the executable size only as large as needed.... many factors... -
I believe they call the cd-addon the toilet seat because the Jaguar itself is said to look like a toilet.
-
That's not the actual game. It is just concept art. It is spiffy though. All you guys at Starcat Developments keep up the good work.
-
He could sit down on it and imagine how much more comfortable it would be with the toilet-seat installed. or you could shut up youre fucking mouth and go cry to youre mother like you always did. i dont offend people normally. but you are searching for it youreself. i said clearly. i am looking for someone that can repair it. ps. thanx htbaa i just discoverd i will look for it What the fuck is wrong with you? He's just joking, damn I can imagen a full 100% why people find you irritating! As I said at another point in time in some other thread... his English is bad and I think sometimes he simply misunderstands what people are intending to say.
-
What the? Your obviously not listening! The man said croissants! What do you not understand!?! Croissants make everything clear! Say it, imagine it, smell it... it will come to you.

I'm sure you meant Thunderbird right?

Damnit... now look what you did. I was about to go to bed... then you have to go and mention racing games. I haven't played Super Burnout in a long time and I just can't deny myself at least one game. I am heading back to the living room now.
-
"Another 5 minutes and I will go to bed." It seems almost every night I say this to myself for hours on end. My wife is angry about it... I can't get up for work... I can't even remember how to code when I get to work because my brain is so fried from the night before... Now that Atari is again taking form I think I will sue them for lost wages and making a destructive product (have you ever had your wife hit you in the head with your Jag because you aren't going to bed when she asks you to? It is quite painful.) I need to go total up the amount of compensation I am owed since 1996 when I started collecting. Lets see... 1 + 2 = ???. CRAP!

My copy of IS2 is also in a cartridge box with a sticker in one of the lower corners. The label is a simple black label. I believe it is pretty much the standard cd ver of IS2. I would like to have a copy like yours. I payed 70 bucks for mine. You lucky dog.
