I think the best thing to do for a new release is this: 1) Forget the original WAD. There's no way anyone is going to release an improved JagDoom with the original WAD. As I am still huge into Doom I am aware of some excellent WAD's used today that could go into an improved version. The only problem is that most wad's depend on the original wad to be used. If it were possible to take this dependency away that would be great. If that were possible I would lean towards Dwango5.wad, Dwango6.wad, or DcDwango.wad... especially if multi-player is the main focus. Of course... you could also see if there are some wad's out there that don't have the dependency but I am yet to find one in all the years I have played Doom. 2) As stated previously... networking needs to be improved. I am not very familiar with the new ethernet port yet but that sounds like a great route to go if it is possible. I am wondering if this ethernet port would allow you to develop a tcp connection into a game. As I said... I don't know much about it... but if it is possible then I think a Zdaemon port to Jaguar would be absolutely awesome.... though difficult. Someone would have to maintain a master-server specific to the Jag (seperate from the main one) as you wouldnt be able to release ZDaemon updates (unless you released in an ISO so people could burn a new cd when theres updates.) A port od Zdaemon may be too difficult to accomplish. It would be nice though.

I think it's so funny people will give 10 bucks for a dead jag. I got the best Jag I own for 7 bucks off a website. They had a bunch in stock. That was over 2 years ago though and I can't remember the site.

I used to always send in thoise card's. Up until about a year and a half ago. I stopped sending them in though. Even though it was dead I still wanted to send in the card's cause I figured nobody was and that's a better chance for free stuff for me!!!

Can you believe I found one of my Jag's (the better one... work's perfectly and it is the newer model number) on a website for 7 bucks. They had a bunch of Jag's and accessories and they sold NIB packages for 30 bucks. They sold the Jag by itself (no box or anything) for 7 bucks. Since I had a Jag that had come NIB that was no longer working I didn't need a box or any of the other stuff. So I got the Jag for 7 bucks. I ended up getting another one later in a huge package on e-bay that had a cd unit and a crap load of games (a little more than 1/3 of my collection... I purcahsed the majority of my games new) but it only get's used for networking.

Argh! I need World Tour racing! I had a chance to pick it up at KB Toy's a couple of years ago for like 20 bucks but I didn't have a Jag CD at the time! Damnit!

VJ plays Defender 2000 and Cannon Fodder flawlessly. These are both games that I couldn't get to run under PT. Being that Cannon Fodder is one of my favorite Jag games I fairly happy it runs... though I would like if I could make the screen bigger. I'm sure future version's will be even better . It must have some major bugs though because I was doing darn good in Cannon Fodder lol. Still can't beat the real thing though. I think I'll go play it on the Jag now.

Canon Fodder is a great game

I don't see how any copies of this game sell. If you have the cd you have this game. I've seen entire crates of this game put on e-bay. I don't know if I have ever seen it sell.

Well... some may disagree with me but I have to say Doom... it is the closest to the original I have found on a console and playing it on console is a lot better than on PC to me (except for ZDaemon...playing client/server on the net with in-game joining and skins rocks )... It got more play than any of the other 52 games I have for Jag. Luckily I have two copies so one is still in good condition while the other... well... is not. If this is a Jag specific thread (not ports) I would have to say Highlander OR T2k.
