  1. It's one of my favorite Jaguar games. When I got my Jaguar as a teen Super Burnout was one of my first games. My step-dad loved it and we played it pretty much every day that summer. I guess that would have been about 24 or 25 years ago! When I put the cart in now I have the high score on one track but he has all of the rest.

  2. Looks great. It should be noted that a number of people that release their games on cart would not be interested in ordering these because of the inclusion of the Atari logo on the back. One of the stipulations Atari made when they released the Jaguar to the public domain was that their logo could not be used when releasing unlicensed content or product. Of course anyone at home that wants to do a shell swap isn't going to care about that and they may even prefer it.

The first time I saw things that are preserved after permadeath (e.g. between game runs) were in Dead Cells. It gives a very good replay value, that you actually can farm progress by playing the game multiple times. I don't know how many runs I did of that game, but it was crazy.

Have you ever played Rogue Legacy? In that game you can spend currency between games to improve some persistent character attributes (each run is with a different character with unique traits... death is permanent), make different pieces of gear available, purchase said gear for the next run, purchase spells for the next run, and you can choose to spend a certain amount of currency to have the previous game generated again (lock the castle). Before you start the next run you have to hand the remainder of your currency over to the doorman so you go back to 0. I'm not suggesting that you do any of this but it's pretty cool and could provide some inspiration.

You are making great progress on this. It looks fantastic!

you probably can also solve the Rubix cube in 2 minutes if AvP didnt give u much trouble.

I’ve beaten all 3 modes of AvP without a guide. I also solve the Rubik’s Cube in about 30 seconds on average (it’s my pastime when I’m thinking at work). I don’t see that the two are correlated though.

The damage from acid blood is minimal and more of an annoyance than anything.

In my complete marine playthrough there were a number of times where the acid damage was consequential for me. When your health is high it's an annoyance. When your health is low it can put you on the edge of you seat.

I'm no mac fan but I'm sure they have usb ports.....

In addition (and I know you already know all of this @CyranoJ) the software is open-source. At some point I know I threw together a Mac build and put it out and I'm sure others have as well. I seem to even remember a working GUI for Mac. I've even used the software on my PowerBook G4 (ppc32).

I use both Linux and MacOS to push ROMs, builds, and debug on the skunkboard.
