  1. I don't have any issue hitting the exhaust port with the jagpad. You just hold the fire button and center the cursor.
  2. I am using the jagpad (pro controller). Unfortunately I don't have a mouse. That's something I need to rectify at some point. The hardest thing about using the pad is putting in my initials on the high score screen lol. Usually my pics are of my CRT in my media room but my media room is cleared out for remodeling right now. I have the Jag hooked up with s-video to a VGA convertor and those pics are in my office. It's real hardware though. I'm glad I got the Star Wars cart because the game is a blast.
  3. I am very much interested in one of these controllers. I enjoy Total Carnage but this would really make it so much more playable.
  4. I will have to play again to remember the level but even in pandemonium mode the penguins that are not disguised are your allies. They attack the disguised penguins and they add weight to the left side of the scale. They are not unlimited in supply like the disguised ones are. I'm not sure that level 2 has any good penguins though. I seem to remember bad penguins coming from the top and the bottom and they were disguised differently? You have to keep both from getting to the doom machine. I picked level 2 because they don't all come at it from a single direction. Try level 3 and you will see that if we had chosen a level like that we would simply be playing until we tire of it. Also the framerate on level 3 is atrocious.
  5. You want to kill any disguised (wearing a hat or something) or mutant penguins. Regular penguins are your allies. The disguised ones are aliens disguised as penguins disguised as humans. The manual explains that the aliens thought that penguins were the intelligent being on the planet but they had to change their disguise when they discovered that it was humans.
  6. I am going to say level 2. It is more accessible than levels 1 and 4. Level 3 is too easy and would just be a test of endurance.
  7. Alright I'll take the mantle. I'll go try the pandemonium levels and let you know which one seems to be the most accessible.
  8. 🤣All of the levels are (alien disguised as) penguin (disguised as people) killing levels. That's what this game is all about. The "pandemonium" mode is essentially a level that doesn't end. It's a survival mode. It's a zombies mode before there were zombies modes!
  9. This was happening to me as well. The game was also slowing down and even freezing for a second or two from time to time. Then I got one of those freezes and instead of resuming the game went black and only the music kept going. I cleaned the cartridge and all has been well. I've been enjoying this round. I've been playing this game for over 20 years and I've probably given plus mode 5 minutes before now. This was a good opportunity to put some serious play time into a mode other than T2K.
  10. Oy! There is no list! "Soulstar, interest and pricing poll" There is nothing about a list in the thread title. The people involved never have pre-order lists. Answer the poll question and you have fulfilled the intent of the thread. That's it. THERE IS NO LIST! And I know @CyranoJ's post was in jest.
  11. I goofed and played Tempest 2000 mode before I read the directions. I was about to post my best T2K score ever. It takes a lot longer to rack up score in Tempest Plus mode. 146,967
  12. I like this game. It was one of the high score club games within the last few months. I think the biggest flaw of the game is that it can be difficult to navigate especially after the first couple of levels.
  13. I believe that even at retail these were sold in a cartridge box with a CD sticker on it and a jewel case inside. They were never sold in a longbox.
  14. You can get both Worms and Zero 5 directly from Telegames. Worms: http://www.telegames.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=5436 Zero 5: http://www.telegames.co.uk/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=5437 Zero 5 is also available from Songbird: https://www.songbird-productions.com/catalog.shtml As madman said Telegames has been making these all along and their labels have changed many times over the years.
  15. I will let @CyranoJ correct me if I'm wrong but I think the CD image that you can download from his site is the same as the CD release with an initial splash screen added that suggests that you should consider purchasing the game. It is available in the same list of links as the ROM that would be loaded into the skunkboard.
