  1. My only issue with this idea is that, outside of wiping out, there isn't a lot that will affect the final time if everyone is accelerating the whole way. Maybe that wouldn't be the case if we went with one of the harder tracks. If we did a specific Giant or Slalom training track it would offer more opportunities to improve on your time as every missed flag adds a penalty.
  2. Well I have already put more time into this game over the last couple of days than I have in all the years I have owned it. I have a new appreciation for it as it is a pretty good game for the Jag. This challenge is pretty hard though. Last night I got to Challenge 3 Race 3 so I think I got pretty close to completing it. I could definitely see someone attempting this and giving up on it. The key to this game is to make small adjustments to your position only. The turns are largely automatic. If you steer into turns you will probably crash.
  3. Just to clarify this is Compete + Downhill race?
  4. I'm stilling playing my Wii U a lot (MH3U and BotW in particular.) It is a great system. Too bad it didn't see more support.
  5. I believe it was mail order only. It did not come in a box. It was just a box insert shrinkwrapped with a cartridge and manual. It was released in 1997. Despite being a late and limited release, without complete packaging, it was a licensed release so some might consider it a part of a complete collection.
  6. I consider my retail collection to be complete but I do not have Battlesphere or an original ICD Aircars.
  7. Crikey! I don't have a PS4. It's not that nothing compelling has come out. There's definitely a few games I look forward to playing on it. I have plenty on my backlog though and I can wait to play them. This game... I've been following it since Silent Hills fell apart. It may just be the push that I need. I'm really excited for it.
  8. I have no idea. I didn't kick you. I've never kicked anyone nor have I ever declined an invitation request. The only reason I require approval at all is to keep these stupid bots that have become rampant on Xbox Live from joining. I did make Zeptari and Moycon admins so that someone other than me could handle invite requests. I'm not aware of them kicking anyone though. There is nobody on the banned list. I will ask them if they did it but I don't see any reason why they would have. Request an invitation and I will add you back.
  9. Well I think you made two miscalculations. First off we all want to buy anything we are interested in obtaining for the best price possible. We also want to sell things for the highest price possible. Buy low, sell high is a natural instinct. The idea that people in the community would want to put that instinct aside because another fan of the system is looking for one is far fetched. If my best friend wants a Jag I would probably cut him a deal. I'm not going to do that for a stranger on the internet. I have to just trust that you aren't going to flip the console and I also have to have an incentive to lose out on a better deal for myself to "help you out." I'm quite the sucker but even I wouldn't be willing to go for that. Some people might even think you are insulting their intelligence by suggesting you deserve that break. Doesn't the person that has been invested in the Jag deserve to get market value if they decide to part with their items? Even if they are items that they aren't actively using they have had to take care of them and store them since the time they were worth what you consider a "fair price". How long ago did someone have to buy the item for it to have cost them that price? Does inflation count for nothing? If someone bought the item for exactly what you are wanting it for they are actually losing money on that deal. Nothing about what you are asking makes sense or is in any way fair to the seller. You would be the only winner in such a deal. You think you are asking someone to sell to you for a "fair price" but what you are asking is barely better than asking someone to just give you one. Half price... free... simply a different gradation of asking someone to be willingly stiffed. When we purchased our Jags we paid market value. If you want to purchase one you will have to pay market value. That is what's fair. The system is worth what people are willing to pay for it. If you aren't willing to pay for it you are priced out. Wait and see if the price will come down. Otherwise you should consider using your money for something else. The second miscalculation you made was to think that you wouldn't catch flack for your request in the Jaguar forum. This is the Jaguar forum. You catch flack in here on any day that ends in y. You have to have a thick skin to post in here. I won't pretend like that is a good thing or that it reflects well on this community. It's just the way it is and the way it has always been. I've been hanging around these parts for a long long time. If this place ever changes I will be shocked. So don't take it personally. You made a silly request in a place that is not very forgiving. Oh well. Move on I say.
  10. Personally I dig them both but if I had to pick a favorite reboot it would be Wolfenstein.
  11. It's the leaking capacitor that causes the trace corrosion. You should remove the clock cap and clean it up. Unfortunately that is not likely to fix the problem on its own. Since you already have symptoms of trace corrosion the damage has already been done. You will need to bypass those traces to fix the machine. For the disk tray not opening you can try replacing the drive belt. It's an easy repair. Console5 sells them: https://console5.com/store/microsoft-xbox-original-xbox-dvd-drive-drawer-tray-loading-belt.html
  12. In my opinion Rebooteroids is an "A+ title". The overall quality of the game is fantastic and it's a blast to play.
  13. I was a little confused by this as well as there seems to be two games on ST. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles The Coin Op
  14. You have a cartridge in it right? The Jag only powers on when a cartridge is inserted.
  15. Every statement in this post is incorrect. The most likely reason for this issue is the unofficial HDD.
  16. Considerably less than an Xbox One racing wheel with pedals.
  17. I have one of those which allows 360 controllers to work on Xbox One (they have one that allows 360 and Xbox One controllers to work on PS4 as well.) I use it to connect my Xbox 360 wireless racing wheel to the Xbox One. Works great.
  18. Right. Some times it locks up completely mid-game unless I push it to the right after inserting it.
  19. No. It's definitely the cart. I don't have issues with other games and I have a lot of carts including the complete retail set. Typically it's inserted into my Jag CD. Does the same thing in the Jag's slot. Does the same thing in my multiple other Jags. The edge of the board is worn on that cart.
  20. I have one or two Jaguar carts that are worn. My Ruiner Pinball cart has to be pushed to the right after it is inserted or all kinds of crazy crap happens. For example the score gets way too high way too fast. I think it also messes with the physics. I have owned the cart for over 20 years and it did not always have this problem so it must have happened over time. It was heavily used.
