  1. Picked up about 30 PS1 games for $15 at a local community sale. It included several Dragonball Z and Star Wars games along with some uncommon shooters.
  2. SD cards 4gb and below work fine or so I've been told but my biggest is 2gb so that and below is proven. I haven't tried any emulators but I'm told most anything pre PS1 works.
  3. Great to hear from another Tapwave enthusiast... we are few to be sure. As far as the Palm MMC games they are mostly just OK. Sega Classics does not work on the Zod for some reason... the launcher screen comes up but the game crashes when you try to load it. They do work on my Zire fine and the emulation is actually pretty good considering. The Game Essentials MMC is also wonky and only a few games work on the Zod. I believe all the rest work fine including the Handmark ones. In my opinion the best one to get is the Midway Arcade Classics from Pocket Express as it had nice versions of Joust, Tapper, Sinistar, etc. I got every Palm MMC games made but did not bother with the CD based stuff as most of it could be found online anyway. You can find a lot Zodiac specific games for free online too but if you are having trouble finding them pm me and I'll point you to a few. Please post pics of what you have as I'm always curious what other Zod collectors have.
  4. Bought a couple TG-16 games that were in great shape well packaged and shipped quickly. Great seller!
  5. For shipping costs only... A Taxan green display monitor... weight 16 lbs. 6 PS1s (1 not pictured) all power up and the lids open and close fine but not tested otherwise. I can fit one into a padded Priority envelope or 2 in a medium priority box. If you want all six we can do parcel select 16 lbs from 34668.
  6. Traded some TG-16 games with Chad and it was well packed and received in 2 days. Great guy to deal with. Super smooth transaction. Thanks again.

  8. I suppose if I don't get any offers in a few days I'll do that. My thinking was maybe a collector on here needed it and had other games or doubles so no cash outlay would be required.
  9. I picked up a Devil's Crush in the jewel case with instructions and plastic sleeve in an estate sale. It is in really nice condition and lightly played as I can't find a thing wrong with the Hucard. The only defect is a tiny rip on the outer case sticker on the back. I can post pics if anybody is interested. What I want in return is at least 2 other Turbografx games that more or less add up to the value of DC. I interested in horizontal shooters and beat em ups or platformers of some sort. I'm not really interested in sports or puzzle type games and I would like them with case and manual. An example of what I'd like would be Legendary Axe and Side Arms or Deep Blue and Vigilante... R-Type and China Warrior perhaps. I'll post pics if there is any interest. Pm or post with offers.
  10. Wow, really sorry about the issues with the Gizmondo... I guess I've been fortunate as my four units all work very well. You made a good point on the Gamepark as that was more of a peer but I have never actually seen one and I believe all the retail games are Korean so who knows if I could understand to play them. Now the Game.com... that was a real bomb. I had a couple of them and none worked right. The touchscreen was horrible and most of the games next to unplayable. Thanks again for your input.
  11. Totally agree with you on the Tapwave... the platform was ahead of its time but poor timing and only a handful of good games doomed it early on. BTW, I also have a complete Gizmondo game and assesories collection... it is no Tapwave but I still find it playable and enjoyable at some level. The main drawbacks are the unreliable battery and the rubber parts on it becoming slimy over time. Although most of the games are just so-so there are a few gems Like Interstellar Flames, Sticky Balls and Trailblazer. I put the N-Gage in another category as it had a much greater library (though still smallish) and lots of 3rd party support compared to the other two. It also sold in the millions whereas the other two probably sold around 100,000 combined! Lastly, it was also made by a big successful corporation where the other two made nothing else but those handhelds and went belly up afterwards.
  12. Thanks Silverfleet! I have been going to Estate, Yard,Garage, community, school, church sales, flea markets, thrifts, etc for over 10 years and since I live near Tampa there are sales all year round but have never even seen a TG16 in person! I've wanted one of these for a long time but I could never justify the price to myself (or the wife). Now I have been playing Blazing Lazers and Galaga every night... this is a great little system. It cleaned up nice too and by the looks of it was very lightly played as none of the games have any wear to speak of.
  13. Another update adding 1 new Platinum member and updating a few others… thanks to ScottyDont00 for sending me the Pink Panther cart too! 14. Wow, it is great to have your collection on this thread. Impressive stuff but I would expect nothing less from the "Immortal" John Hancock. You didn't mention it but I assume you have "The Voice" module as well? Let us know and I'll update the thread tonight.
  15. Wow, I didn't know it was worth that much... I figured the games were 10-20 each. Thanks for the info.
  16. Thanks, the games are hit and miss... there were only 8 physical releases with Duke Nukem and SpyHunter being my favorites. Tony Hawk and Z-Pak Fun are not good and the rest are average. There were some downloadable games that were nice such as Avalanche and Gloop along with some fairly good AdVenture/RPGs like Green Myst and Acedior. You could also play most palm games on SD card and I liked Rayman along with some classic arcade ports of Joust and Sinistar. Overall, I had a lot of fun with the games and although nothing was mind-blowing at least some were very good.
  17. Thanks... I have heard stories of finds like this but never experienced it until today. It just goes to show that stuff is out there and in unexpected places. I went back to the sale after I got the TG16 home and went through every box and drawer in the house but found nothing else video game related except a few loose and scratched PlayStation demo discs. I think this was in that box for 20 some years under those cables and forgotten about until I came along. It probably would have been snatched up too if it wasn't hidden under all those dusty tangled cables.
  18. So, I wake up early today and get my daughter up for school... I'm up so I check to see if there are any yard sales around as I haven't gone in awhile. There happens to be an estate sale a few milesaway and the listing has electronics and collectibles so I head down there at around 8:00am. There are already dozens of people there getting all kinds of stuff but I see a shallow box with a bunch of cables and think I could get some AV cables for cheap. Here is the box... I see that grill like pattern on something in the bottom and when I dig further I find a few disc cases and I start to shake a little as all this was in the bottom of the box... The estate sale is being held by a private company and most everything is priced on the high side so I am unsure about the TG16 since there was no price on the box. I take it up to the register set up near the front door with a bunch of people waiting in front and now behind me. I ask the cashier how much for this game system and he says there is no price so he has to ask. I'm thinking this will be hundreds and I only have about $40 on me. Well it was so busy the guy asked me to make an offer since the other helpers are not around. I told him $40 and he was kind of frowning but he looked at the huge line waiting to pay and said fine! I couldn't get those 2 twenties out fast enough and rushed out to the car and went straight home to test it. Everything was extremely dusty but after a thorough cleaning everything works 100%. Everything is original and all games have manuals and those plastic sleeves. Every game started right away and I played Blazing Lazers and Galaga for about an hour. This is a very fun system... I never thought I'd ever find one of these but here it is.
  19. Here is a loose Atlantis on Goodwill auctions with a $9.00 starting bud. https://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Atlantis-for-the-Atari-Odyssey-2-38982235.html
  20. Thanks... I really enjoy collecting for this fairly unknown handheld. The stuff is challenging to find but it is usually pretty cheap since very few collect it.
  21. I just added these to the collection in the past few months...

    New Zodiac 1 and cases

From the album: Metarog's Tapwave Collection

Here are my latest acquisitions... The Zodiac 1 has an earlier operating system than my others and is totally complete. On the top row are two Innopocket cases in the original boxes with belt clips. One says metal case and the other says aluminum but the cases themselves look identical. Towards the right is the incredibly rare Commandplay Game Grip stilled sealed in the original plastic with instructions. I haven't seen a sealed one in almost 10 years.

    Metarog's Tapwave Collection

Here is what I believe is a complete Tapwave Zodiac collection. I also am including pics of SD/MMC card Palm games and extras.
