PacManPlus is just awesome. I recently received the Pac-Man Collection and Pac jr and wasted my entire weekend playing them

-
Just placed my order. I'm looking forward to using this with my 7800.

I'm making boxes for my carts and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the font for the side of the box or which font it is.
Thanks

Cool find. The crappy stock 5200 controllers is the only reason I have not bought a 5200. I remember hating them when I was kid playing Star Wars
-
Yeah they are way over priced on their video game stuff at my location. My local Goodwill sends all video games and consoles directly to their on-line auction and only sell the damaged stuff in their store. I just saw a PS1 for $40 dollers that was beat to crap. I've only found 1 game worth buying in the last 4 years. However, somebody buys them because they are usually gone a couple weeks later.

Just played the arcade version of Gauntlet on the PS2. I forgot how fun this game was.
-
I like this game as well.....though it does make me curse because I can't play it worth a crap at this point

Sealed Kung Fu Master is on ebay right now. Auction is currently at $56 and ends in one day:

Yes, I've tried three different Atari's 2600's Jrs and one 7800 and I get the same errors. 1 of the Atari 2600's Jrs has never even been used and its still having the problem. I'm wondering if maybe there is cold solder joint on the Harmony board at this point unless it a software issue. One thing I did notice was that the Harmony board was not exactly lined up with the dust cover of the cart and would catch sometimes. I removed the Harmony case and inserted the Harmony board directly in the Atari's without the cart case and still have the same problem too.
-
Hi All,
I bought my Harmony Cart over a year and half ago and have not used it that much since I've mostly been playing my 7800. The problem started 6 months after I purchased the cart. When I powered on my 7800 or 2600 the harmony logo would just spin forver. I would power down and reseat the cartridge a few times and it would work. This problem would happen every now and then I I just figured it was no big deal. Today, I plugged it in for the first time in about 6 months and have the spinning logo problem again. I reseated the cart and then got an initialization error. I reseated the cart again and got a SD format not recognized even though the SD card is fine (I've tried different SD cards). After about 10 times of doing this the cart finally loaded the menu correctly. Anybody have any idea what's going on or what I can check? Is there a part on the circuit board I need to replace?
Thanks

I finally figured out a 7800 themed layout that looks sleek. I made the Atari logo and text smaller and added an orange outer edge which ties everything together. Here's a few pics of it.
I tried to figure out how to attach the pdf file to this thread but I have given up. Please PM me with your email address and I will email it to you.
The following is the cheap way to make the label instead of paying to have it professionally printed.
Materials Needed:
- Sharpie Pen
- Laminating Sheet
- Photo Paper
- Mod Podge (glue)
- X-acto knife
Directions:
- Print out the decal on photo paper.
- Apply a laminating sheet by starting at one end and slowly apply it moving your finger back and forth to avoid air bubbles. If you get any air bubbles start the entire process over because your decal is already screwed.
- Once the laminating sheet has been applied you will see areas that look hazy. You need to rub this down until this disappers. I use the edge of a credit card.
- Next very carefully cut out the excess white border. Cut along the outer black edge, not the orange edge.
- Once its cut out take a Sharpie pen and color the edge of the decal to get ride of the white.
- Now you need to apply the label to your RSI. Make sure the old decal is completely removed and the RSI has a dry clean surface. I use Mod Podge to glue it down which you can get at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores.
- Using a popsicle stick apply a thin layer of glue to the entire back of the decal.
- Now apply the decal to your RSI. Once you have it positioned correctly use your finger and rub the decal to make sure it is making contact all over. Try to remove any excess glue around the outer edges. Also rub off any glue you may have gotten on your label when applying.
- Let it dry completely. This will take a few hours.
- Once dry take a sharp x-acto knife and cut out the 4 button holes.
- Next you need to cutout the joystick hole. Try to cut as close to the outer edge of the whole as possible. You don't need to get it perfect since you can trim it up after you cut out the main piece. Once you have the piece cut out use your x-acto knife to cut the label right up to the outer edge. Now take your Sharpie pen and color the white exposed edges.
- That's pretty much it.

Here are the pics of the 7800 themed decals I made. The first one I tried to copy the metal plate. However, the image looks a little off with orange buttons and joystick. I like the second one better that just has the rainbow and text. Let me know if anyone has any ideas to improve these. Also, how do I attach a file to this thread? I wanted to post the actual template acrobat file but not sure how to do it. Thanks

Yes the website is a mess that looks like it was time warped form 1995, but they do have great customer service and and I've never had any problems with them. They also accept Paypal if you order more than $50 if you don't want to use a credit card.

FYI.....Last auction like this went for 200+

There's a copy of Tank Command on eBay right now....but its going to cost you
eBay Auction -- Item Number: 130716780613
A copy of Mean 18 in the box usually shows up every couple of months on eBay as well.

Prioritizing and paying the bills...that's crazy talk. Seriously, I'd rather wait a bit longer and have it done right. Just as long as its not a couple more years

Hi all,
I will not be selling the decal, but I will post the 7800 themed decals I am currently finishing up for free. I will post the step by step directions to print out and create the label as well. I've gotten enough free stuff from this website and other members so it doesn't seem right to charge for it

The overlay is awesome! Here's the verion I made to stick on my NES controllers.

Here are my latest RSI modded controllers. These are still my favorite controllers for the Atari. I fixed the graphic template so it fits perfectly now. I decided to replace the ON/OFF switch which is no longer used with a 2P2T swtich so I can reverse the AB buttons whenever I want. Still waiting for the swtiches to come in. Anyway, here are pics of my latest controllers. I have 2 extra ones I will eventually be selling once I have them completed which I will post in the marketplace.

Here's the template for another one I'm finishing up:

I just finished installing the EURO OS Chip and Best Video Mod. The OS chip is pretty cool and I love how the game just comes on with no delay. I was lucky since my mobo already has sockets installed so that saved some soldering.
The Best video mod is ok. There is no more RF distortion which was just horrible with my 7800, but there is just a very slight ghosting. The whole video mod thing has been very frustrating because it seems like some mods work great for some people and suck for others. Wish there was one video mod that just worked for everyone. Anyway, its not perfect, but its better than it was so that's good enough for now. The Best instructions for the video mod now include the wire to fix the the sound for games with the audio on board.
Now to figure out how to install bluetooth on my 7800

For the art I peeled off the space invader sticker and scanned it into Photoshop at 2400 dpi to use as the template. I then downloaded the Pac-Man arcade Marquee graphics in .png file format, shrunk it down, and pasted them onto my template. I created the circle around the joy stick manually. The Photoshop file 525MB since its 2400 dpi so it took 30 minutes for my printer to buffer and print the page. I printed the page on high glossy photo pager then laminated only the face up side. Then I used a Sharpie to color the edges black.
After all this I realized the RSI sticker I scanned in for the template was stretched out from peeling it off. So I had to do some trial and error trimming the outer edges using the joy stick circle as the center point. To apply the decal I used a thin layer Mod Podge. I waited 15 minutes and then scrapped off excess glue around the edges. Its a bear to scrape off if fully dry. After the decal was fully dried I used an x-acto knife to cut out the button and joystick holes. So that's it for the decal
Another thing I did was add weights to the empty batter compartment to give it a nice heavy feeling.
I REALLY hated the pro-line sticks and I love these as a replacement and it kind of has an arcade feeling to it now. So all in all, the entire project including the 7800 joysticks I gutted for the cables cost me $25.
-
My first Atari related project was converting the RSI. I bought 2 RSI's and a Gamestar for $10 off ebay. I took the micro switches from the Gamestar and added them to the RSI button's for a more responsive feel. I made one Pac-Man themed and the other based on the atari 2600 controller.
