  1. Hi everyone! This is a story I posted to Trashy News, and I thought you guys might enjoy it: FOX to unveil new reality show based on the video-game classic PONG Watch out, reality show fanatics. This Fall, FOX is converting one of America's most beloved video games into a live television event. PONG, the Nolan Bushnell classic that started the video game craze, will be the focus in FOX's new show, tentatively titled, "PONG : Thailand." The show will start with 16 contestants all hoping to win the $250 jackpot. Each week, the contestants will square off against one another, with the weakest PONG player getting eliminated. And since the show will be filmed live in Thailand, expect some exotic scenery to be on display behind the PONG machines. "The location is great, no doubt about it," said one FOX spokesperson. "But the aspect of the show that's got us most excited is the fact that it'll be coming to you live. Believe me, for $250, emotions will be running high. If a player's paddle misses the square ball, he might yell something like 'Stupid square ball!' We want to get all that live. No editing, no tape delay. Just raw unprocessed emotion." If the show proves to be the success that FOX expects, they plan to debut "Asteroids : Jamaica" in 2004.
  2. Since no one has replied to Goochman, I though I'd chime in that I'm having the exact same problem. I'm got a brand-new eMachines 2.4 Mhz machine with 512 MB RAM, SoundBlaster Audigy, and WinXP. I get the same error with PCAE (latest version), but all other emulators seem to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks! Scott
  3. Hi everyone! I'm new to these boards so please, play nice and don't chew with your mouth open. :-) At any rate, I've just bought a new computer, and I'd like to relive some old memories via Atari emulation. For those of you who've been involved in the emulation scene for awhile and know the quirks/problems/features of the various emulators, which emulators do you think are the best for each of these systems: Atari 2600, Atari 800, Atari 5200, Atari 7800? If it helps, here are the specs for my machine: Windows XP 2.4 Ghz 512 MB RAM SoundBlaster Audigy I plan on trying out most of the emulators anyway, but I wanted to hear from the people who probably know better than anyone else which emulators are the best. Thanks, in advance, for your help! Viva Atari! Scott
