Hi not completely sure, but the atari xl can use the same cable that is available in the uk for the commodore 64, both 5 and 8 pin versions. Maybe the best bet is to buy the c64 scart and at least if it does not work, you will not be shelling out as much.The scart gives a very good picture on crt, and works well on lcds too. Hope this helps in some way!

i agree, i think it would look great on the 7800, apart from scrapyard dog there wasn't really a great selection of platformers.

Hi all i have been waiting for a reply about the custom carts as i just ordered beef drop and b*nq for the 7800, but i know Al is busy with boulderdash. I just wonder if anyone can answer a couple of simple questions? where do i get "binary" from? is this just the rom file that you would use in an emulator? and where do i get the label from? can i just request a generic label and tell Al what game it is i want? many thanks

I know you can do it on the 2600 console with colour issues, but do not know if it still applies to playing 2600 games on the 7800? I know that 7800 ntsc don't work on the pal 7800, but just want clarification about the 2600 games.

Hi just waiting for my new 7800 with the rgb scart lead, and just want to see if anyone knows whether it will be able to play 2600 games from the U.S? My tv accepts 60hz and also has ntsc option in the tuner. do you think that colour issues aside it will run the ntsc games ok? many thanks

so really simple then, nothing unearthly in it! the reason i wondered was that they named the lynx and jaguar obviously with Atari before them, just thought there might be some technical reasoning behind the numbers.

does anyone know what the numbers stand for and why atari chose numbers instead of names?

Hi all, i need a replacement 8 bit machine as mine has blown itself and power supply to high heaven! live in the uk so really needs to be from there. a 65xe 130xe or 800xl with power supply and tape deck is needed. needs to be working as i am no tech wizard! many thanks if you have a spare please give me a price.
