Neat! Interesting it's got a female parallel input. Done to get the device out of the way while using a standard printer cable? Also, can access +5v (pin 14) directly out of the Amiga's parallel port, but guessing you didn't want to risk the chance of people having weak or already taxed power supplies?

 

Lol, I use an extention cable myself, to much of a pain trying to get at the port on the back of the computer every time.

 

The power from Pin 14 isn't enough to power the device, The Plipbox takes approx 170ma to run.

Very interesting! Are you only making those seven or are you making more?

 

What kind of drivers does it take? So far I use dialup on my 1200.

 

I'll be making more, Just waiting on Ethernet adapters again.... China delivery is so dang slow

He didn't want to make the main PCB that is used to connect the Plipbox to the Amiga's parallel port so I did. For any and all technical question, see the above link.

The Arduino Nano is programmed with the 0.6 firmware. The power plug is 2.1mm for 5volts. You need to supply your one 5volt PSU.

 

This has only been tested on an Amiga 500. Thats all I own.

If you want a legal copy of JD then you need to buy it BUT my adapters are ready to just plug in and play IF you have a Socket for the Kernel ROM on your board already. U4 is the one on my C64 Mobo.

My adapter have Stock/JiffyDOS and an Autoboot Kernel in them. It loads the first file on disk after about 3 seconds.
