  1. Thanks ! Is the Atari 800 XL power supply compatible with the Atari 800 ?
  2. My TV is an old style TV (not LCD or plasma). I don't have a 220V power supply, but I didn't know I could use one with an original 110v NTSC Atari 800 ... Do you ? Where did you find your 220v power supply ? Is it one from an Atari 800 XL ? Regarding the sound, I connected it to the pin 3 and checked the connection, all is OK, but the sound does not come then to the TV, it stays on the Atari itself ... Should it the Atari stop playing the sound when the TV is connected ?
  3. Thanks to all of you ... I could make the SCART working using the pin 4 (video composite) of the Atari connector. Finally, I decided to make a single composite cable which work as good. But I have two problems : - the sound does not go on the TV (only from the Atari itself). Is this a normal ? There is no way to have the sound on TV ? - the picture on the screen is shaking a little bit, which is annoying ... I tried with 2 different Atari and the image is still shaking, so the problem does not come from the Atari. I connected a DVD player on my TV and the picture is not shaking, so it does not seem to come from the TV ... As the Atari is NTSC and I'm on a PAL/SECAM area (220V, so I am using a 110v to 220v converter), I thought that maybe a 50Hz/60Hz problem may cause the screen shaking ... Does anyone have a clue of why the picture is shaking ? Does anyone know how can we make the sound go on the TV ? Thanks again !!!
  4. Thanks to you but I already know the pinout of the RGB port. But here is the problem : the RGB port has luminance, chrominance and composite video pins. The TV scart connector only has composite video pin. I was wondering if I connect only the RGB composite pin to the scart, will the display be color anyway ? (as chrominance will not be connected ...). That's why I wanted to know if someone knows the pinout of an Atari 800 scart cable...
  5. Hello, I would like to connect my Atari 800 (not XL) to a TV (pal/secam/ntsc) through the scart connector. I am searching for the pinout for the cable and would like to know if someone already did this. Can anyone help me ? Thanks
  6. Thanks a lot to all of you for your answers ! I didn't know most of the games would work on the 800 ... In fact, in another forum, someone told me the 800 XL uses some graphic modes which do not work on the Atari 800 ... That's why I was searching for a compatibility list ...
  7. Hello, I just bought an Atari 800, the old one (not XL) with 64k but I guess only 48k will be recognized. I search, with no success, everywhere on the web if there was a compatibility list which let me know which Atari software are compatible with the Atari 800 (I guess some Atari XL software may not work on the Atari 800). Does anyone know if a compatibility list for the Atari 800 does exist, or is there any games archive specific to the Atari 800 ? Thanks !
