I figured operator error on my part. I have Altirra 1.7 with PAL Artifacting activated at boot. At least these games do work, so I should be able to figure out the kinks in my set-up. Thanks much. By the way, is there a better place to post Atari 8-bit emulator questions? the Emulator-specific forum seems to have more posts not pertaining to 8-bit machines. 8-bit emulator is currently my only way to go. The family 800XL has been shelved a few years ago with keyboard issues and a failing (1050??) disk drive.

I know it is probably user error in this case... I have had trouble with Combat Leader and MicroLeague Baseball. Pretty sure both were downloaded from Atarimania (Microleague for sure). Attempting to run on Altirra. Baseball hangs with a b/w picture of the field and Combat Leader has a garbled screen, not able to decipher the splash screen or field of play. Of course, I am probably posting this in an inappropriate thread. Any thoughts?

Spent plenty of time keying in games like Safe Cracker by hand, even took a stab at player missile graphics at one point. I still use the old Football Predictor program from ANTIC Oct 87-ish as a base for a current Excel file. As a matter of fact, I made an attempt to port Entrepreneur Jungle to MS Excel as well as MicroLeague Baseball (Text only of course). Time constraints... Not 1987 anymore.
