Yeah, I´d love to. But import fees down here in Brazil are a whopping 100%. (Seriously. 60% federal and 38% state taxes, shipment included.) So even if I sell for double the money I´ll make nothing. Pathetic. I still hope someone else will join this wagon. Or someone in USA would take the second one and sell later for a profit. That might work too. -

There´s a lot of links over here explaining this, even with examples. You should try those. Specially when they mention "bid retractions", for instance. That might make it clearer to you. I don't think I was clear enough. Let's try this: You set a sniping bid of 20 dollars. The last "honest" bid was 11 dollars. A fake account pushed it to 19. So... Normal auction, 11 dollars. Shill bidding, 19. You were willing to pay 20. Still inside your set price, but you were robbed.

Yeah, but there´s a catch. Let´s assume there´s an item you like *and* not so many others. Some obscure, not very sough after imported sh*t. So you set your mind: "I´m willing to pay 20 dollars for it". You can even set a sniping bid on it. So the seller put a starting price of 1 dollar. Let´s say it even goes as high as 10 dollars "in normal bidding circunstances". In that case you migh end up paying 11 dollars for it, even if you were willing to pay more - and that is great for you. But with shill bidding... The fake buyer might push you to your limit. You might end up paying those 20 dollars, or 19 dollars for the item. It´s within you set price range, right? But somehow the seller managed to rob you 8 bucks. or 80%. So... Sometimes you keep in your set path, pays within your budget, but still got robbed. So: If the seller don´t want to sell an item for less than a set amount just put a reserve price on it. Otherwise that´s scamming.

There's a LOT of shill bidding going on on MSX items. And once I'ce shown evidence of it on MRC (biggest forum) people were like "so what?". Umbelivable. I've filled complains about a particular seller, Satopin, who managed to fool me two times. Shame on me.

Hello, I´ve been talking to the author of the amazing Pacman for Channel F. As some of you might know he made a limited run of 50 carts a long time ago and since then he´s devoted to multicarts. He said he would be willing to make a LIMITED SECOND RUN of about 15 carts. But he´d only commit to it if we gather enough interested people. We need AT LEAST TEN PEOPLE! According to him a boxed game with high-quality printed paperwork would cost something between 70 and 120 USD. He will check final costs if we manage to grab an audience. Anyone else in? Try to e-mail Dan with that measurements, he might be able to help. Maybe you might use Lynx box, or Virtual Boy, or something like that. ... I don't think we can find something great for 4-Game Brazilian carts with switches. :-(

So... If anyone´s interested. After some research and some HUGE help from Dan Godkin from www.retroprotection.com i´ve managed to find some amazing fixes for some of those bizarre carts. (BTW, what a great guy Dan is. Really helpful and polite. I truly recommend him) Star Raiders: Super Smash Bros protector. Excellent fit in two dimensions. Indy 500: Windwaker box. Excellent fit in two dimensions. Phaser Patrol: Skyward Sword, near-perfect fit. Mithycon games: VHS protector. An inch taller but great on the other two. Sega games: INTV tall box, as Special Teams stated above. Perfect fit. Hope it helps!

Yes, you can load up to 9 disks simultaneously and switch between them on a keystroke. That is way more than enough, no MSX game is that big. I've tried a lot of different solutions for some time now. - SCSI carts are a thing of the past. Let's move on. - IDEs are always available everywhere. They are a good start and cheap, but they are obviously just an IDE, I mean, you can't do anything fancy with those, like run .dsk files, MegaROM games or SCC - MMC/ SD is a great solution. But it is NOT easily available. Also, it does NOT expands your System memory. It do run .DSK images, it does allow flashing ROM and MegaROM and it does have a standard MS-DOS 2.2 in it. I love mine and probably will keep it forever. - MegaFlash is the bullseye. You can flash ROM and MegaROM, even HUGE ones (there's a 2mb Aleste 2 Disk-to-ROM conversion that runs smoothly); you can make multiROM carts with automatic boot menu; it is an IDE; it does mount disk and multidisk with simulated disk change; it does have a (FPGA) SCC+; it does expand your system memory; it does have DOS 2.2 and Nextor on ROM. The only downside I see is that it works as an integrated Slot Expander so it MUST run in a primary slot. But unless you're a sick puppy like me who owns multiple expansions like megaRAM, beefy Memory Mappers, Moonsound and such, that's REALLY not a problem. I do recommend it enfatically.

.DSK images are not that easy to read from SD on MSX... You can´t just "mount" them anywhere. .ROM files are quite easy though, and there´s a bunch of great mass storage options to choose from. I don´t know how much you want to spend but for an MSX2 with no drives at all probably the best option is a MegaflashROM: - It comes with DOS; - It works as an hard drive - You can mount .DSK - You can mount .ROM and MegaROM - It has a SCC sound chip I am not sure if you can order one with extra 512kb and it would run DOS2. Better check with Manoel Pazos, the maker. Here´s the ordering site: http://msxcartridgeshop.com/ I can´t stress enough how amazing this piece of harware is. It probably solves most of all scenarios.
