  1. USA NTSC A2600 games work perfectly on unmodified, stock Brazilian Ataris. I still have my Coleco Donkey Kong I got when I was a kid. :-) PAL-M is indeed a very, very bizarre protocol.
  2. Not really. Brazils system was called PAL-M and its basically NTSC with a different color carrier. Its 60hz too. If you connect a PAL-M device on a NTSC TV (or vice-versa) youll have a perfect B&W picture. Argentina indeed is closer to european PAL and wont work at all on NTSC.
  3. Almost there, I think. Only the "Big ones" to do now. Here´s the current version in case someone wants to take a look. I´m still taking suggestions! :-) Link: www.lazzeri.online/pub/Checklist_A2600_V03.xlsx
  4. I´ve played around with a few new ideas. Can someone please test it and comment? Here´s the new file: www.lazzeri.online/pub/Checklist_A2600_V01.xlsx 1) Added checkboxes for cart, box and manual. 2) If you check "cart" the game name will be tagged in light green; if box + cart + manual tagged it wil became dark green. 3) it shows how many carts you own for each company in the index page. Doing it all in the entire spreadsheet will be a pain - if people don´t like it i might just let it go. :-) Suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
  5. Its an ordinary Excel spreadsheet. Download it and open it up with your favorite software: Excel, OpenOffice or even Google Docs.
  6. Hi there, I´ve created an Excel spreadsheet to manage my A2600 collection. In case someone else might find it usefull, it can be downloaded here: www.lazzeri.online/pub/Checklist_A2600.xlsx I´ve used the *PHENOMENAL* work of Random Terrain as a starting point and added a few re-releases and repacks he opted out. The games are separated by company and listed alphabetically. I´ve decided NOT to add variations. I´ve just added the fields "Cart", "Box", "Manual" and "Extras". I´ve opted not to use checkboxes so you can use the criteria you like the best: Mark with an X, grade it, comment it, tag variations, whatever suits you. If someone manages to improve it in any way please let me know. :-) Hope you like it.
  7. Now THAT´s awful. :-(
  8. Thank you gentlemen, that was really helpfull. :-)
  9. Hi, Total noob question (my main focus is A2600 actually) so please be nice. :-) I´ve seen quite a difference on prices regarding boxed (and MIB) A7800 USA vs UK games -specially the slightest rarer ones. Some games can cost 100 USD in USA and 30 EUR in UK. Looking at the pictures I truly cannot see a difference - event the address printed on the manual is the Sunnyvale one. So I have to ask: Are they exactly the same? Box, manual, cart, the whole thing? Thank you!
  10. Here´s another nice find: Genesis loose cart protectors are a absolute *perfect* fit for cassete games. It´s actually hard to see the protector itself. https://retroprotection.com/Sega-Genesis-Master-Cartridge-Protectors-10-Pack-265.htm This way you can protect your Supercharger games - or your european computer stravaganza! :-)
  11. Amazing! Congratulations! :-) Maybe "No Resale"?
  12. Excellent news. Looking fantastic!
  13. Played them both *A LOT* on MSX. Grog's revenge is a beautiful game - but extremely hard. :-( Heres how the original MSX version looks like: http://www.lazzeri.online/vg/MSX/IMG_9229.JPG
  14. Hi, Already got a loose one - looking for a CIB. Thank you! :-)
  15. I do have a special place on my heart (and in my collection! ) for the 2nd-gen videogames. Just love the looks of the consoles, the ideas that flopped (RCA keypad? Channel F joystick?), the amazing ideas that got lost (vectrex, looking at you), the kind of games they managed to squeeze from such limited resources. It´s amazing to watch how the entire industry evolved. Plus the artwork, the game themes, packaging... Everything´s just so freakin´ cool. For instance: Saba videoplay game boxes are *umbelivable* cool, with amazing artwork. They´re pure art. Odyssey boxes are a blast too. Microvision carts are a thing of genius! Pity they´re so hard to find down here. I´m always importing stuff. :-(
  16. Holy sh*t, 20 and so years collecting classic videogames and I haven´t ever heard of the Unisonic Champion. Thank you for that! :-) Don´t get me wrong, APF can put some decent graphics (Sea Monsters is pretty decent!). Pity it never got any traction. And the Imagination Machine demo is just amazing, I never get tired of the video.
  17. I do have a MP-1000 and a full set of game carts (Pic: www.lazzeri.online/vg/APF_MP1000/IMG_9670.JPG ) Now I´m working my way through the boxed game set. Don´t know how hard I´ll try. :-) I like this thing. The games are terrible but they somewhat resemble old BBS ANSI games. The Boxing game is just absurdly weird looking. Just love it. I´ve been looking for a working Imagination Machine but the prices of the few units that show on eBay are just outrageous.
  18. Still looking for a boxed copy!
  19. Hello, Nice article on the Making of Pacman for the A2600 published on this month´s RGM. If you like it don´t forget to buy the magazine! http://www.lazzeri.online/pics/Pacman.pdf
  20. Yeah, finding it in the wild down here will be pretty much impossible. I dont know why Ive decided to collect pre-crash stuff since very few of those arrived here. Maybe Im just plain stupid.
  21. Yeah, same here. Been looking for this one for a while now. Grabbed a "Gunfight" on a big lot about two months ago, now that´s the one I´m on the hunt for. Hope someday I just stumble in one tucked inside a lot on eBay. :-( I do already have three boxed RCA scattered around the house - collateral damage, I might say.
  22. For playing SMS, SG-3000 and SG-1000 on a MSX youll need a Playsoniq board. Its really an interesting piece of hardware - but pricey. https://supersoniqs.com/projects/ https://supersoniqs.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/playsoniq-user-manual-v1-3.pdf
