  1. Actually I think it's Ultima V not IV
  2. Yeah his is a ROM 255 that's why he is able to do the PR#7 to try and boot the external drive. If that is failing also then it definitely is a ram problem.
  3. I am definitely planning on going next year. I wanted to go this time but unfortunately real life interfered. @Panther you might want to consider checking out this website: https://forum.vcfed.org/index.php That's where I first saw a link at the top of the page about VCF Southwest, since it is the Vintage Computer Federation Forums. They do have an Atari section, if you've never visited it before.
  4. Personally I prefer the MicroLeague Baseball game, you can find them here: http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari_search_109.105.99.114.111.32.108.101.97.103.117.101.32.98.97.115.101.98.97.108.108._8_G.html
  5. Only Where in Time and Where in America's Past support the mouse. the other four are keyboard only.
  6. I just booted my 5.25 disk image of Where in Amaerica's Past on Virtual II, and it came up with mouse support. I'd imagine all the Carmen Games support the mouse on the Apple II. I can check my other disk images if you'd like.
  7. The freely available version of Apple II Desktop: https://www.a2desktop.com/ definitely uses the mouse. Without a mouse it is useable, here's a link to the version 1.2 documentation that describes key combinations and what they do: https://www.a2desktop.com/docs#h.p_fthAmDxtEOQ9
  8. He's talking about versions of Copy][+. version 6.x or version 7.x, which is only available on 5.25 disk, since they were released back in the day before 3.5 drives were introduced to the Apple ][ line of computers.
  9. Just finished using latest version of Firefox on MacOS Big Sur 11.7.6
  10. Unfotunately you can't copy from a 3.5 to 5.25 for the reason the computer gave you. I might have a copy of Copy ][+ on 5.25 that I can send you. Let me look.
  11. Yeah it would have been a menu type program or something similar. Let me check through the Apple II software I've downloaded ove the years and see what I can find. I'll send you another PM with what I find attached.
  12. Sounds interesting. Already have an Applesqueezer in my ROM 01 GS but in need of one for the ROM 03. Survey submitted.
  13. Take a look at this game: https://www.6502workshop.com/p/nox-archaist.html They also just recently put out an add on to the game called "Lord of Storms".
  14. If you need a copy of the instructions for the S-Drive Max from The Brewing Academy I can email you a pdf. I scanned the instructions and turned them into a pdf just in case I managed to lose the paper copy I got with the S-Drive Max.
  15. I ran a newsletter for a Star Trek fan club in Belleville ILL from 1987 to 1991. The first year I used Newsroom. Starting in 1988 I used Publish It!, writing the articles in Appleworks and then importing them into Publish It! Did it all using my 128k Apple IIe.
  16. That is funny! Yeah they would have absolutely no idea what you were talking about, unless there is someone there that might be familiar with the Apple II.
  17. I think, I'm not sure so don't quote me, that they became commercially available in the 80's, at least for the Apple II. It would make sense since that was when more games were being put out that required ajoystick.
  18. I just checked my AFP and the game I saved the other day, for Adventure II, is still there. I was able to select Adventure II as the game I wanted to play, pushed the save button on top, then pushed up on the D-Pad to load the save. No trouble.
  19. I've got the S-Drive Max that I bought from The Brewing Academy, not having any issues with it. Is there any reason why I should update the firmware from 1.2 to 1.3? If there is how would I do that using a Mac?
  20. I was having some weird behavior on mine. I started it up, played some Adventure II, saved it. Turned the AFP off and then back on was able to get the save to load. Turned it off and set it down. Decided a few minutes later to try loading the save again. Turned it on, selected Adventure II and the screen went blank. Turned it off and on, tried again, same thing. Turned it off and on again tried a different game, blank screen. It wasn't turning off because the power light was still on. Decided to try charging it, even though the low power light wasn't coming on. After it finished charging it worked like normal.
  21. Unfortunately, as far as I know, ATGames never released any updates to the firmware for the Atari portables. Also I don't think there is a way to check the version of the firmware since I don't think ATGames intended them to be updated.
  22. I did some googling and reading other Apple II forums about memory chips for the Apple II. What I came up with is this: https://www.jameco.com/z/4164-150-Major-Brands-IC-4164-150-DRAM-65-536-Bit-65-536x1-150ns-with-Page-Mode-DIP-16_41662.html Hope this helps you. magnus
  23. Here's a link to a file on archive org that will give you 16GB worth of games to install on your modded LFB. Everything from Atari 2600 to Arcade games to MSX and other consoles. https://archive.org/details/lufbdec-24-22 You'll probably want a 32GB SD or MicroSD card to put these on and then install in your Legend Flashback.
