  1. When talking about real classics we have to talk about Laurel & Hardy too! What about the "piano transportation over the stairs" movie?
  2. I always play Phoenix and H.E.R.O. when plugging in the 2600er
  3. The perfect flea market find! Congrats!
  4. I like this Benny Hill idea! I always loved to watch this guy slapping on grandpas baldy head Should also be a part of the game... that could be real fun at all
  5. Then you would be an artist too! You can sell it on eBay! This artist has made a poo machine: http://www.todaysbigthing.com/technology/2008/11/11 (I take no responsibility for anyone who vomits watching this. I couldn't watch the whole video myself) As I said before... "trots in bags" = Art
  6. My motobike is offended because I'm playing Atari in my off time instead of cruising around. Weird situation... :-))

  7. Cool, I've never seen that cart title before
  8. Ok, now I understand the problems. In Germany there ist still a mix of analogue and digital RF sources around, so that might be the difference. The receiver are still supporting the analoge signals, but it will find an end when the last "old" signal is turned off. I think then the "new" TV sets will then include a standard, no frills, digital TV-Tuner and that's it. Maybe I should buy some TVs as spare for later? Thanks for the infos!
  9. @Slowcoder I've used a Black Triniton many years undtil it dies the death of all "earthly" things @all So it seems to be a NTSC specific problem isn't it? As I wrote I've never seen anything like that with my PAL console and the Sony LCD I mentioned is brand new
  10. As the topic says... I'm just curious about the problem some people have to use the good old Atari with a common Flat TV? I use it on 3 different types of TVs: A Sharp 46" LCD, a 32" Sony LCD and a 32" Plasma when playing at my buddies home I have never encoutered any trouble after tuning in the correct channel. So what's the problem? Is there any significant difference in the NTSC and PAL consoles? Or is simply the antenna jack missing on the US TV sets?!
  11. You can get some on ebay for some bucks but you also can use an universal PSU as well. Most of them have different kinds of plugs but you urgently have to take care of the polarity!
  12. I still suggest a very bright LED with at least 6000 mcd and at least 40 Degrees! Place it somewhere unter the cover and use that frosted plexiglas idea (or maybe some waxed paper) to diffuse the light. With this you don't get a direct view on the LED and get an even illumination inside the cover. By the "indirect" light, the effect should be looking very nice and not that kind of "pointing green"
  13. First post contains a pure commercial?! Hmmm... dunno
  14. You can never have too many blinky lights! If you wanna lighten up a runway... yes you're right
  15. The price looks terrible but take a look at the packaging unit! They sell them in 100 pcs each pack. So you gotta check if there's a way to get just 1-2 from them or another shop. The value of the resistor depends on the Volts you have there. As Mr. Ohm said: Resitor = Volts / Ampere (This value you can evaluate from the technical specs of the LED. For example you got 5V and the max current of the LED is 24 mA you need a resistor of 208 Ohms (if it's not available, take next higher value)
  16. My socks are talking to me... how bizarre! I'm not sure, but maybe I'll have to wash them from time to time?!

  17. Yep, to the moon and back, my friend BTW I used the 6500 mcd LEDs some years ago as replacement for the car interrior light. After modifying I just thought they could really been brighter So, don't be too cheap with the amount of light. You can always dimm then by a bigger resistor. But you cannot brighten them up if you only got those "dim lamps"
  18. No pal. That looks like a "normal" LED with only 20 mcd. You need a much more brighter version of more than 300x this brightness Radioshack doesn't seems to have this kind of electronic parts Maybe this link helps? LEDsuperBright.com
  19. Yikes! NO that's the wrong way! Then you'll destroy the LED for sure. Remember the Laws of Mr. Ohm? After bright comes dead... you know just see my edit of last post
  20. To realise a better glow effect you urgently need brighter LEDs with a high degrees of reflexion area (is it called like this in English?!)! Check your electronics-part shop for more details [Edit] I mean something like this: LED with 10.000 mcd and 30 Degrees or this: LED with 6500 mcd and 45 Degrees Sorry, I only got some links to a german shop, but I bet it will be easy for you to find similar shops in the US
  21. Nice work, looking great! And I don't even have a L6
  22. No no no... I still have to puke when I see this stack of chickenshit glued together with lots of dried bullshit. I hope that some day somebody doing the same with him when nobody wants him anymore (I bet it shouldn't take too long to reach this state)! To tar and feather would be much too good for him. And yes I hate this kind of using the spare time to create handmade junk (I'm avoiding the word ART) to fool cuckoos. I've seen so called Art on the Documenta here in Germany and have to say that even diarrhea filled in bags was "sold" there as art. And I was irritaded about how may people found that very "inspiring". But maybe I got no "antennas" for art?! In the end I'm very divided when thinkin about this theme... and finally choose by myself to be melvis instead of calling this art!
  23. @explosiveegg nowerdays there is absolutely no reason for those negative feedbacks, only if theres indeed something wrong. I got another example, regarding the chain-cam: This Dealer from Hong Kong eBay Auction -- Item Number: 320571272627 is selling these items too and got only 0,9% of negatives feedback after selling more than 8500 items. That is a very good performance if you ask me. Till today I bought two cams from him (on different days) and one od them was demaged. Without any discussion and with apologize he offered me money back or replacement. He's has the same preconditions than the others but has a much better performance. Finaly the gamepad-dealer must be doing something wrong. Maybe it's really the shipping, the quality of the product, or both. Maybe some costumers are so angry about it all together but writing only about a late delivery at the end although he told them about in the auction text. Who even knows? Most of the reasons are unknown but it's very characteristic when a dealer got too many negatives about those frills and furbelows.
